oh and survival shows need to stop with 'fan made' groups. at least bring in proper judges the first few rounds to make sure only people that are in a solid enough position in their skills make it. when a group is made like this + bp only on fan votes it doesnt give any other contestant a chance a part from the few that ppl decided to fixate on in episode 1 and the lucky few that get screentime (the company takes a liking to them) and the viewer takes a liking to them.
finally finished this show and whew theres a lot to unpack.
it was rigged. like that top 12 made me laugh because it was so random and unrealistic. and even if it wasnt rigged mbc was doing things to make the lineup go their way. like im not sure if anyone else noticed but in almost all the rounds on site votes (an audience full of mostly korean fans that vote for minors or based on pretty faces alone, rarely focusing on just talent) or votes alone that vein were always multipled by ridiculous numbers like 200. this immediately sets up international contestants or contestants that just have a largely international fanbase.
now the line up. to be blunt like half of them just got in because korean audiences love to debut children or they had pretty faces (or both). i didnt dislike any of the younger contestants or the ones that ppl took a liking to bc of looks but i 1) dont think minors should debut period let alone a 13 year old 2) both the younger contestants and the ones that got a lot of their votes from the korean audience because theyre pretty arent necessarily at the level to debut. like yes with a few more months or years of training they'd be amazing as they all have potentional but now? theyre going to go up there and embarass themselves on stage and as we all know kpop stans are mean and the group will suffer. singers should be able to sing and dancers able to dance and thats it. dont get me started on how ksoul is definitely going to fuck up the image of the group. i'll give it at 3 months max into their debut before he does something that pisses off international or korean fans, or both.
the editing barely showed other contestants than the ones mbc favoured and obviously if they weren't shown they wont get votes so far too many talented contestants left early instead of the ones that literally cant sing/dance
contestants like myungjae, hyunwoo, beomjun, daehyeon, seokhee, jaemin, hyunbin, taeseon etc etc etc were all robbed.
i've seen around 5 survival show and this is easily the worst lineup. its imbalanced, random, has the most annoying and vile contestant i've ever seen in a survival show, 3 children that should be in school (before anyone starts yes i think they should follow their dreams etc etc but imagine how weird it would be if 3 girls under 15 debuted because their fanbase of 20+ year old men voted for them because they're pretty. its weird. minors should not debut for a multitude of reasons), and its unfair to the other members if we're being real. the lineup was so bad it made me grateful my main picks didn't have to debut in a group like that. anyway i'll try and forget this group ever happened and focus on the talented contestants that didn't make it
please delete this as you are commenting on the wrong thing. this is for "my beautiful man eternal" which is ONLY out in japan cinemas. what youre talking about is 'my beautiful man s2' which is a different thing, and what the movie is following up.
https://youtu.be/qSpyy7lB3eE if you watch this trailer you will understand my beautiful man eternal is NOT the same as s2.
They're from the same production team, that's why there are comparisons being made - not about the story (because…
maybe im just seeing it very objectively but the quality in production is not any less than semantic error in my opinion, from the budget to the cinematography
why are the comments comparing this to semantic error? they're not similar in anyway other than being gay shows…
its already easily one of the better kbls this year quality wise. im not sure why a small number are jumping to dislike it without ever actually giving it a chance
why are the comments comparing this to semantic error? they're not similar in anyway other than being gay shows plus theres only 2 eps of this one out so far.
imo its v cute and fun. a very sunny feel good show
I don't understand the amount of hate that they are getting either tbh. Part or maybe even majority of being an…
mhm. like yes i have seen shitty idol actors but there are also idols that have put on some of the best performances i've ever seen. park jihoon, im siwan, rowoon (who's also in sf9) are all AMAZING actors. people just love to hate things
show hasnt even aired yet and comments are stressing about the fact there's idol cast members? yall love to make a problem out of nothing because it's really never that deep as long as they can act why gaf
I guess this is how society works... In a way this portrays the reality of being gay in Japan..
i wouldnt even catergorize it as that... the wanting to conform/homophobia yes but the actual events that happened were just a different level of mental and sickening imo
multiplying on site votes by FIVE HUNDRED is sick. a vile decision made to set up international contestants (e.g santa, shiryu etc) or contestants who's fan are majorly made up of international fans (e.g beomjun etc).
the whole show has been set up so those who got a lot of screentime at the beginning will debut. that's what happens when eliminations are done by fan voting, people pick who they like at the beginning and don't care about talent. not to mention how episodes are filmed way wayyy before they're released. like they are currently filming the semi finals now, we're on episode 6
not to mention how knetz have taken a liking to the children even when they're not talented. gyurae seems like a sweetheart don't get me wrong, but he can't hold a note to save his life, they literally just vote for him because hes a child.
shiryu was completely and utterly robbed (i knew ppl weren't voting for talent so i assumed it was based on visuals but he's one of the prettiest contestants and gets that ? nasty) . his dancing his far above anyone in that show, far above a kpop survival show and in my opinion he could outdance a large amount of the current kpop industry. i'm glad he got out and i hope he thrives else where.
