I agree I'm just worried because this stuff wasn't in the novel, the person she's in love with is XXC not ZM so her dynamic with ZM in the next episodes is ??? to me because until they actually merge I don't want to see anything romantic btw them.

They've done such a good job so far of showing just how much MXL loves him beyond anything as much as he loves her I really hope they don't ruin it in the next episodes.

Then I'm looking forward to it. I was hesitant because a lot of dramas do this, where the male lead is the one making all the effort and from the comments here it seemed like that was also the case here I'm glad it isn't.

I mean it's all illogical but I'm not saying he should meet everyone in the modern world. But that they should find a way to show he's still there or he goes back or something ...

I really hope it doesn't happen like that because unlike most dramas where that occurs the main relationship is the romance. Here he has forged so many beautiful bonds of family and friendship it would be devastating if they're all erased.

That sounds very interesting and better than the novel summary tbh. Can you tell me why she didn't want to have anything to do with him and almost married SML? Also you said she was equally the same does that mean that she also protects him, puts her life on the line for him and earns his love as much has he does?

I want to ask. How do they handle the fact that there are two versions of the male lead running around in the end? Because she's only in love with one of them not both.

I think they are hoping for a 2nd season since the novel is incredibly long which is why it had the title of s1 at first but it also depends on a lot of things. How successful and lucrative s1 is compared to the money they spent on it is the biggest one, followed by the availability of such a big cast etc. Fingers crossed the stars align and it happens.

They need to give us a second season, it feels like the story is just getting started. Like they've just established the world and the characters and there is so much more to do. Not to mention the fact that there's such a great balance of comedy and serious moments means that we could get a 100 episodes and it would still be entertaining.

As in does she take care of him or do things for him like he does? Bc in Hidden love even though SZ had everything like her brother here does the ML still did so much to take care of her.

Can I ask how one sided their relationship is? is it just the ML taking care of the FL and loving her more or is it like Hidden love (I know it's a different story but same author) where even though the ML's been through a lot (here that would be the FL's role) he always takes care of her and puts her first?

I already love Si Mu, she came completely prepared to her future in-laws house with gifts she obviously spent a lot of time and effort to get and that also match their personalities/likes. Not to mention her silver tongue full of flattery and praise, Xi Nian is so lucky to have her.

The next episodes look so good, I really need them to make a s2 to finish the novel's story with the same writers and cast. This is too much fun for it to end with S1.

I love the relationship between lord Wei and Qi An, they feel like father and son and the fact that they're both prone to slapping the hell out of annoying people is actually hilarious.

With the way lord Wei was acting it seems he knows something about Xi An, I remember his conversation with the alchemy bureau elder when he said I thought you were gonna be the person to save the Dafeng but it wasn't you, I think he has an inkling it's XA and the loong (dragon animal) factors somehow into it with the way it's reacting to him, he didn't want the emperor to see it and realize it as well.
