Hopefully we get to see her support him and be there for him now not only to make up for her cutting him off like this but also since we've seen a lot of him taking care of her in spite of being much more screwed up but not much from her.

Thank you for the passage, I'm just pissed off because it feels like she gave up on him at the first sign of issues and despite all the talk about being there for each other, he's been there for her but she hasn't (it's partly his fault because he's been hiding things) , she's a fictional character so what I have a problem with is the writing choices. Can I ask how they get back together?

Her saying that doesn't mean it wasn't actually a break up, asking someone not to talk to you for months after you were together and they went to a war zone if that's not a break up then what is it?

They're not it's the same as the novel, she tells him not to contact her again and they meet again in eastern country a few months later.

And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like what the hell??? After everything ? He's been there for her through so much and yeah he shouldn't have lied but he has severe PTSD and trauma this isn't the usual "you lied to me" and it's insane to me she doesn't realize how much pain he's in and despite that he's stood by her through everything but at the first sign of trouble she bails...

The reason I asked was so I could get context to those comments, as someone who does not enjoy mostly one sided couples where it's the MLs doing all the work and prefers mutually and equally loving relationships where both sides are exhibiting the same amount of devotion, seeing most of the comments discussing only the MLs actions and their love for the FLs prompted me to pose the question to see if this is my cup of tea, since most cdramas do fall under this category where the relationship is mostly based on the ML being very devoted with barely any reciprocation, I did not want to waste my time with something I'm not going to like which is why I asked. I don't care who's more powerful, what I'm interested in is whether the actual internal dynamic is one of equivalent sincerity and commitment.

Same and usually except for a few like MM and LBFAD I feel like the sacrificing and great love is mostly from the ML so hopefully this one is like those as well.

Great love indeed, it's really refreshing so far to see a xianxia where both FL and ML are sacrificing and protecting each other to the same degree instead of just the ML by himself. Hopefully it continues until the end.
I love the way you put it "she loved him till the last ember" people saying she didn't love him, of course did whether she realized the extent or not, the lengths she went to are something you only do for your most precious person.

Thank you for the detailed comment, I love sisterhood dramas and everything you mentioned sounds great, I was apprehensive because reading the comments and so many of them are about the men begging, kneeling and being whipped for the fls while couples who are just as in love and whipped for each other are much more my speed.

How's this one guys? I'm a sucker for flawed characters but at the same time I want equally loving and supportive relationships from both characters, not just simping MLs so I'm not sure if this is for me.

The thing I'm most in awe of is just how much depth and sympathy they've given these characters in such a short time. It's been 4 episodes of barely 45 minutes and they've made us care about at least 7 characters. The skill it takes to make us root so deeply for someone in a couple of scenes is really something.

They used it for the other case though and again that's not my main issue at all. I am talking about the way the story flows and my issues with the writing in general but to each their own I guess.

There is a literal video of her taking a bribe and they are journalistic investigators, their entire job consists of doing things like this. Plus I wasn't saying they need to do anything about it (I said I know they maybe can't go up against someone like that) , I was commenting on the fact that the show has too much going on so nothing is addressed properly and the foundation is there but the execution is pretty bad. Even if they're not doing it, shouldn't they have discussed it in any way at all? If you watch the scene where they confront her you'd think the Minister's wife was some benevolent friend that got taken advantage of, that's not good writing...

I liked the first 4 episodes, but 5 and 6 were all over the place. The writing leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately, The case with the building collapse was way too rushed without proper build up and the evidence came out of nowhere.
I know they can't go up against a minister but why were they acting like him and his wife were some sort of innocent bystanders when they were taking bribes and obviously complicit in everything that CEO was doing? The wife was even complimenting her acting skills, they didn't even discuss it.
what about the other deaths, the entire thing didn't have any emotional impact because it was a mess.
As for the other case, you're telling me they're dealing with a stalker, found a tracker on the victim's car but all these experienced investigative journalists haven't thought about maybe checking her phone to see if there's tracking software or anything else on it?
They're doing too much, too fast so most of isn't landing, like they're checking off plot points and moving on to the next one because they don't have time.

This sounds so much better than what we got, they were doing so well idk what compelled them to give us this mess. I don't understand why they didn't have MXL accept him as ZM DL and that they're all part of who he is including XXC? It was right there in the novel; it's all him but here they kept insisting it was only XXC she loves even after she got her memories of her love for ZM and knew DG was rewritten, I'm genuinely confused as to why they changed it, same thing for TM and his "plan" cause what?

This is SO good, they should've kept this dialogue, it ties the entire thing together instead leaving us with the ambiguity of who loves whom in what iteration. It would've literally taken them 2 more minutes.

I mean the demon lord is both ZM and XXC and considering what he's been through he has every right to be as angry and vengeful as he is. I think they'll become one person because they are and although that won't erase all the suffering he's been through for thousands of years she'll love all the different parts of him all the same.
