I want to believe there's a reason that ML went with XY that they'll show us later and that she couldn't abandon MRJH but I don't think there is. Just like everyone thought LM was faking and didn't really love crown prince and it turned it she actually did even though it made no sense. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong but I think they need them separated for "plot" reasons and that's it.

You're right we still don't know the full picture but what we got these last episodes is just confusing because there are valid reasons why she should be angry with him etc but they're not conveying that in the story or having her explain at all why she's like "move on" while she VISIBLY looks like she's still in love with him. So all it looks like is him still longing for her and doing everything to protect her etc but nothing from her either way. I was hoping after this mess we'll see her yet again show her love and save him/protect him etc and reciprocate what he's been giving for what will be 6 eps tomorrow but I'm not too sure that's happening.

I found it so weird? She has every right to be upset especially since she didn't get to partake in the revenge but they're not letting her say or think anything so it just looks like she couldn't care less about him. I'm now thinking her taking YQ hostage has nothing to do with MRJH and all the scenes we have left with them is the same we've had for the last 4 eps, just about his love for her and not hers for him. Which is unfortunate, in the 1st half they really felt like an equal love.

Hoping for some good moments that show their love for eo. Besides him just longingly looking at her from afar or walking around with what he thinks is her corpse lol. Especially from her now that she knows everything.

I really don't recall if it was a trailer, a preview, a bts thing or what exactly.

It's the scene where MRJH jumps after her from the cliff I think? I was discussing it with someone else the other day so it happens I just don't recall where we saw it.

Do we know why she "dies" or pretends to die in the drama? I think in the novel it had smt to do with MRJH and he thought she betrayed him but she didn't.

Lol it's the MRJH of course. I don't understand Mei lin's thought process though. They're showing us multiple times that he loves her, misses her etc. But what is she thinking? Obviously she still loves him since she ran to him when she woke up and made sure he was ok but now what? She's doing this marriage for peace but what does she actually want? And how are we going to get from this preview to her holding a knife to YQ's throat and jumping off a cliff?

It's so refreshing to see such a badass multifaceted and powerful female lead who is also allowed to be vulnerable and so completely in love. Contrary to what a lot of writers and fans seem to think, the two are not mutually exclusive and can go hand in hand beautifully.

I'm excited for all of this. Is this speculation based on the trailers/promos or do we know it's happening for a fact? Also I love that they're going to fight to cure each other's sicknesses that's my kind of couple.

Oh I'm calm lol just bracing myself for the angst when she finds out and I know that I saw the clips on my TL about the village. I was just wondering if there is a moment in the episodes that haven't aired yet where she tries to save him because you said "they run to save each other" and I know him diving after her hasn't happened but her diving after him already did so it's something I haven't seen in the promos.

I'm only 7 eps in and I can't help but read spoilers I'm not ready for the pain. How do we know they're gonna be running to save each other in the next episodes? I saw he dives after her in a trailer but hers already happened no?

TY, I do love a complex FL with agency, I also love a true partnership where the narrative doesn't paint either of the leads as more in love or more willing to sacrifice for the other. Oftentimes however, cdramas seem to think the 2 are mutually exclusive, which is why I've gotten more apprehensive in choosing what I watch.

I'm really in the mood for gorgeous winter landscapes but reading the comments to see if this is worth it is giving me whiplash. some are saying this is a slow burn with a loving and equal couple, others is calling it boring , wondering if the FL is even in love with the ML and heavily criticizing her.

Yes I understood that the theme is that you fall in love with someone's soul not what they look like I just meant that the consensus seems to be that the relationship is very much about the ML's depth of love for the FL while I prefer my fictional otps to fit the description I mentioned earlier but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't really pay much attention to actors so I don't mind different interpretations, the script/writing is my priority tbh.
