I was frustrated with him at first but just like I understood where she's coming from, I understood where he was coming from because he didn't want to get hurt since she knew she was going to leave. I think my thing is before couples get together I can accept them hurting eo etc which is why I love relationships who start off as enemies but once they are together I like a more supportive dynamic, if you feel they are pretty much the same then that's great, we're all going to process and view things differently.

I wasn't talking about her staying for him or her giving up her career, I was talking in general, there's no need to infer something from my comment I didn't state. I think the last few episodes will determine how I feel about this drama, I love the secondary characters but when it comes to the main couple, although I understand ZJ and all her complicated insecurities, I don't enjoy relationships where it mostly falls on one of them to always be patient and understanding and loving and so far imo that's definitely the case here. I personally prefer two people with flaws who are mutually supportive and just as in love with eo and are both willing to make concessions for eo.

You are my glory, this is not a life drama but more of a lighthearted romance and it starts slow but it's completely focused on two people navigating their relationship, their jobs and supporting each other.

When the weather is fine, city girl comes back to her hometown, both leads have a lot of baggage but it's a moody slow show.

He's so understanding and supportive of her no matter what she does or says,the way he says he anything is fine by him as long as they're together, I really wish we could see her show him the same amount of love and support.

The dialogue between them doesn't make it seem like that's the case bc if it is then why did she come back so fast without doing that? it sounds like she didn't want to give up on Shanghai without going there again. I don't know how closely the drama is following the novel but I really hope they showcase a supportive communicative relationship from both of them. They can both decide that she goes to Shanghai for her career and to save up for them and they visit each other until she comes back. Thank you again for answering all our questions.

I'm re-reading this and wow because you're telling me they get engaged and then she up and leaves decides she doesn't like it in shanghai and then comes back to him and they get still get back together? At least portray some semblance of balance in the relationship because this is too depressing.
