The way we played ourselves by starting this and now we have to wait every freaking week *cries*.

I know they're not fluid but what I'm saying is the fact that the writer lets it be known through dialogue that it's totally normal and anyone could be any sexuality is important and I've seen a few gay characters before love with flaws (in the entire history of kdramas it'll be like 10 people at the most) but what I mean is they're always minor characters, so far a main character or a main queer romance has been out of the question ( the ONE show that had a main gay romance was life is beautiful) and I'm afraid that'll be the case for years to come.

One thing I love about this show that I've never seen another drama do is this choice to be like any of these people could be gay and no one assumes anyone else's sexuality . It just hit me with today's episode but they've been doing it from the start:
-May being like me and MJ are not in a relationship we're just roommates and I'm ace
-Mj saying why didn't you kiss that actress's dad if you just kissed someone randomly is it bc you're straight to SG
-Yeong hwa's friend's sister saying she thought they were dating
- MJ being like I thought you meant something else when SG says he followed his runner friend around
-That whole scene with SG and YH and the contact lenses and then DA saying "he likes you? Have a great life together" to SG about him and YH
and I'm sure there are other examples I've forgotten about, with Korea being so conservative it's impossible to have main lgbtqa characters in a tv network right now but the writer doing this in such a natural organic way is honestly so great.

I completely understand when MJ's coming from, she should put herself first especially since all her life she's never had someone to do it for her not even parents but I can't help but feel a little disappointed and upset because while the show is handling it well so far it's still something that we've seen done SO many times it just feels stale regardless of how well it's been written not to mention the fact that they barely even interacted this episode, this writer's insistance on fleshing out her characters down the the most minor is something I ADORE but that shouldn't be at the expense of MJ and SG and their relationship, I just hope the conflict ends by ep 13 and we see them as a united front ready to take on anyone who gets in their way, we barely got to see them just be in love with each other.

This poor writer, she wrote a fantastic drama and then it became extremely popular only for the network to probably fire her because they got greedy and wanted to milk it for all its worth and she didn't want to compromise her writing and vision for the show. I have never seen a single drama get better after a mid-way writer change and that sucks because this was on its way of becoming a classic. Instead of being like " hmm we have an amazing writer let's keep her happy so she can write more dramas for us they were like let's be stupid and do the exact opposite"...

Right? I noticed the tattoos as well, usually you only have a tattoo in a kdrama if you're a gangster, someone having tattoos just like that and it's a woman? Never seen before. It's funny how the things we're mentioning are like SO normal but in this context they're unheard of.

Lol same, because so far we've gotten hundreds of scenes with men shirtless and in their underwear but god forbid a woman is shown wearing a bra, then the world might end.

A woman in a bra? Sex treated as something completely normal in a kdrama? will wonders never cease. On a more serious note i'm glad these web dramas are allowing us to see something that's a little more realistic when it comes to dating and relationships.

This writer is psychotic, it's so freaking absurd that dramas are all basically limited series with one season and yet so many of them manage to have the shittiest endings, you'd think if you're writing a 16 hour story you'd plan a decent ending from the start.

Someone please give Im Ju Hwan a lead role, he's such a fantastic actor and seeing him relegated to these second lead roles all the time sucks.

Severely underrated, the way this show shone a light on a patriarchal society while giving us all these amazing women taking charge of their lives and supporting each other all through the lense of a beautiful love story filled with mutual understanding and respect and it was all done in a realistic understated manner that never fell prey to false dramatics, and while it wasn't perfect it was absolutely stellar.

This is such a beautiful show, it handles all of its relationships whether they're romantic, familial or friendships with such heartfelt sensitivity, and the acting is so good especially Do Hyun who's nothing short of astonishing as Dae Young.

How is this so good? There are like 10 main / significant supporting characters and I already care about ALL of them also the cast is insane so many wonderful underrated actors and actresses.

How is it that these two are the kindest most selfless people and yet they have the WORST friends, it is hilarious how HH and MS are pissed at them when they're the ones that suffered in silence for years and years and did all they could to never hurt them and they couldn't spare them even 0.00001 % of the same consideration I need them to stop being so nice and put them in their place and then completely cut ties with them they don't deserve to breath the same air as my precious babies.

I genuinely enjoy slice of life dramas and slow dramas that choose to focus on characterisation and mundane everyday life can be amazing e.g misaeng/live/Reply 1988 but this show just feels preformative and hollow the dialogue tries to be snappy and witty but instead it comes out rushed and fake , the writing tries and completely fails to focus on other family members and show their struggles to the point you can't muster even one ounce of interest in their scene, it's not horrible it's just very medicore did this writer get amnesia after she wrote Can we get married? and One warm word.

This is not a well written show to be honest but I'm enjoying it enough because of the 2 leads who can frankly act circles around the second male lead who barely manages to emote and all of the secondary characters are either boring, assholes or boring assholes.

Me : Trying to give Jung Kyung the benefit of the doubt because I like complicated women and people always shit on female characters if they so much as breathe wrong
Jung Kyung : Comes for my girl Song ah
Me: Fight me b*tch.

Hyeon Ho pisses me off even more than Jung Kyung because Joung Young cares about him SO much and has never done anything to hurt him while he's being such a dick to him as he worships JK who treats him like trash ( made even more obvious by the ep 7 preview) can they both get the f*ck out of his life.

You know why I find Hae Hyo annoying, he's one of those people who's drowning in privilege but wants to act like he isn't like he's different when he's actually not , his mother bribes people to get him roles buys followers on instagram and you could say he doesn't know I'm guessing it's more like he doesn't want to know he asked her if she did something and although she denied it the way she acts is so obvious, his rich friends recommend him to their father's companies,he doesn't have to get other part time jobs to survive like Hye Jun, his mom probably got him the best clothes trainers etc... She's most likely responsible for a lot of his success and most of the rest comes from the fact that he has a rich father and rich friends and connections,he seems to really care about Hye jun but the way he was silent when his asshole friends said they could talk comfortably now as if having someone poor their was some sort of horrible thing and he seems to think he's more talented than him which is why he's doing better which we know is not true, case in point the director wanted HJ for the role but they picked him on the insistance of the dude his mother bribed because he had more followers most likely due to the ones his mom bought like ....

Wow jung kyung's grandma turned out to be a snake,when she was speaking with JK and she said HH lacked courage and then she was like i'm not talking about him only as in she's talking about Joung young because she knows JK likes him AND she knows JY likes her too (I don't think he does anymore but she doesn't know that) remember a few episodes ago when she asked if he liked someone to JY she already knew, also the way she played hyeon ho like a fiddle, she highkey manipulated him so JK could become a director while using her knowledge of their little love triangle to say he's not on JY and JK level basically telling him he has to be a professor to have a chance with her while FULLY knowing that it's not gonna happen nor does she want to because she legit just trashed him 5 minutes ago, she's on another level. She acts like she cares about him and JY but she doesn't give a shit and will not hesitate to trample them if it serves her interests. Also she's wrong about JY he's going to show courage and Song ah is going to be the catalyst, I'm calling it now.
