I love how in this drama the main story of interest was almost over by ep 10 and the next 6 episodes were further exploration of the dynamic between the FLs. In most K dramas of 16 episodes they drag the main story to the end and give an unsatisfying quick closure. More K-dramas should follow the arc structure of this show.
I also love that the show focused on divorce and family dynamics especially the exploration of latter is done really well here with a positive, healthy message. Couples arguing is one of tropes i find the most entertaining always, i've seen so many movies across different cultures both west and east about strain and conflict in the family so i enjoyed most of the cases this show had.
Until like episode 8 this show was going so strong i thought i was gonna give it 9/10 but from episode 9 onwards it took a noticeable dip. It failed to flesh out its characters, the confessions from the characters about their feelings and the decisions they made, especially from main leads were so dull and awkward and irrational, we gain no proper insight about why they acted the way did, to the point by ep 11 it was unclear what kind of characters story they wanted to portray.
Still i give it 8.5/10 coz it was excellent for 8 episodes with the comedy, directing and Shin Min Ah all hitting the high notes.
I got you buddy. Now i realize why i loved Hometown cha cha more than it when Samdalri has 2 of my bias. The issue…
True even in Hometown cha cha the brief 2-3 episodes when the show hints for a love triangle were the weakest but i'm glad it got resolved pretty quickly compared to other K-dramas.
Steady increase in ratings, now both this and Love Next Door have same ratings haha i love this. Hope it increases a tiny bit more. This is the best RomCom to air this year. Watched 4 episodes so far i'm waiting for it to end so i can binge watch it.
This show has both my #1 fav K actor JJS and my #2 fav K actor JKH and both in main roles so it was quite easy for me to watch and enjoy it. As usual i skip the boring parts and the characters i don't find interesting. I loved the twins, there are cute and adorable. 8.5/10.
Every single second of Jeon Jong Seo as Queen Woo on the screen is absolute delight to watch. She looks just as amazing in all of her different color, beautiful queen robes with that signature hairpin as is her calm, strong, determined character. Absolutely killer main role. Hope we get a season 2. 8.5/10.
To people who have watched both this and Stranger which do you like more ? I usually don't like Thriller, Crime, Mystery tagged K-dramas coz none of them satisfy me but Stranger is the only such k-drama i liked so i'm not sure if i should watch Signal coz i don't want to waste 16 episodes worth of time.
I'm really enjoying the comedy in this show, i like the FL for most parts but ML does nothing for me, i don't dislike him he just doesn't do anything for me to like him except in 1st episode. And i absolutely dislike how this show handles 2ML, he's just there to make the two main leads feels better. Idk maybe they should've given him an FL of his own. I'm on ep 11 now, but don't feel like continuing atm the main leads have gotten together again and i feel like the show is losing steam.
Also Jang Na Ra is one of my favs. Easy 8.5/10.
Still i give it 8.5/10 coz it was excellent for 8 episodes with the comedy, directing and Shin Min Ah all hitting the high notes.
