Idk what the people giving the ratings and the comments are smoking. This was a really good drama. Instantly caught my attention from the very first minutes kept the quality with crisp pacing. Easy 8/10.
well... ML come from the future, I think if ML didn't outwitting him (with 10 years of advantage) he probably…
Yes I understand, it's a convenient tool but my point is that avoiding using it or restricting it someway would've made the show better ( for example some things happening which didn't happen in his previous life, many shows with similar premise do this )
After a long time a really great drama of this kind. Writers should take note this is how you write a "team " , see how it was built, you first have the main character having plenty of one on one dynamic with each member ( the reporter , the two prosecutors , his friend) and then gradually each one of them come together to form the team. In most action comedy k-dramas you see you have a team of 4 already from the very start which is very boring and gets very stale very quickly.
My only gripe is they missed with the main villain, his archetype is one of my fav kind, and he has some great moments but he could've been even better given the veteran actor playing him, the main character kept outwitting him all the time, a 50-50 approach could've been better. But still this drama had me glued completely almost the entire run, lost a bit steam in last 1-2 episodes but it's alright. Ji Sung's character from The Devil Judge is much much better, but the villain in this show is much better. 9/10 .
Great show. At some points this felt like a Park Chan-wook drama. I like that the show flipped what would have been a conventional two male centric character dramas in this setting to a female one. Easy 8.5/10.
This is such a great show so far but why do I feel like a slightly missed opportunity. I love prison arcs for characters and this one had an amazing one, but the ML should've gotten outside prison by now. He's still in prison and the show is about to reach it's half point. I hope in the next episode he's out.
I would say just as good as the S1 but the story as whole I think could've still hit higher highs because its genre and setting is one of my most fav kind in k-dramas. And what a cameo role by Jo Jung Suk. He's my fav K actor and I was unaware of him having a role in this so when he appeared I almost screamed. 8.5/10.
That sounds a little pretentious if not sarcastic xDI understood the movie and still rated 7
Or he's not a serial killer but is most likely a sex-trafficker which explains how he is mysteriously so wealthy and makes girls "disappear" or he could be both serial killer and organ harvestor.
But why does it have to be a past connection trope between leads? I don't know why I dislike it so much; it always…
Exactly. Childhood trope is the most boring kind coz when the two leads already know each other it takes away all the chemistry, excitement and comedy that comes from first time interactions .
I equally liked both. I think they're the only crime kdrama I've rated a 10.
I agree with what you said about Stranger, the ML FL dynamic is amazing and even the other fellow prosecuters feel well fleshed out characters. It's one of my very few 9/10s. Yes I have seen season 2 also. It's not as good but I liked it.
