OH MY GOD Shin Min Ah is so pretty!! I've been rewinding a lot of scenes just to admire her beauty. This is the best show airing right now, both the chemistry between the leads and the comedy are hitting all the high notes. The directing style is visually funny just how RomComs should be. If it stays this good till the end it could end up being Top 3 drama of the year.
I just realized this is a 12 episode drama which is perfect. 16 episodes being the norm in k-dramas is ridiculous, none of the 16 episodic dramas i watched needed 16 episodes and all of them would've been better if they were concluded inside 12 episodes. The extra 4 episodes always somehow makes the show worse for me.
It's because the childhood friends to lovers trope is absolute garbage but k-drama fans eat it up every year.…
It is a bad trope. Fight For My Way is also trash. This trope just takes all the fun, excitement and comedy away from RomComs. You are left with cringe flashbacks.
this drama is so chemistry less and magic less... what happened to director writer duo, they were amazing in cha…
It's because the childhood friends to lovers trope is absolute garbage but k-drama fans eat it up every year. Last year it was Welcome to Samdal-ri. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha was amazing because it avoided this garbage trope. RomComs are all about chemistry but when the two leads already know each other for a long time it takes away a lot of excitement that comes from getting to know each other for the first time and the situational comedy that comes from the first encounters.
I liked backstreet rookie so much. I came to know only later that it got hate because of age difference, "cheating"…
Still Saet-byul needed to be loved more for all the love and dedication she gave for the ML. We were robbed of a proper kiss scene and more intimate moments because of age gap controversy😪. That's the only major thing this drama lacks for me compared to my #1 fav RomCom which is Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.

That's the best part i love it when FL is so clear from the beginning it creates one of my fav kinds of comedy in the FL-ML dynamic. My fav RomComs are of those kind.

Indeed it was almost Senjougahara-Araraki level of chemistry for me everytime FL and ML were together on screen. And yes can't believe it had no kisses yet it was so good, but i kinda wish it had more intimate moments coz i wanted FL to be loved more but i guess the writers avoided it on purpose because of age gap thing.
First melodrama i was able to complete, it's difficult to watch shows with slower pace but i was watching a couple of episodes every night before going to sleep. This show is oddly gripping for some reason, maybe because i liked the FL a lot. But ML isn't as appealing and holds the it back for me from liking it more, also it wasn't properly explored by FL fell for the ML so hard, i'm not talking about the reason, i mean to say it needed more depth and deftness. At one point i wanted to give it 8/10 but things fizzled out by the end it's more like 7.5 for me.
Storyline feels so forced. They really made a company benefits married couple like that dkkdkdNot fan of ml But…
It's literally a thing in eastern europe and some east asian countries to keep the birthrates going. Birthrates are falling hard in Korea, Japan, Italy etc.
Jeon Jong Seo is absolutely killing it. Her screen presence as Queen Woo is amazing, every second of her on the screen being a strong, calm and determined queen is a treat to watch. I like the sex scenes i just wish the directing was a bit better, as a comparison Kingdom has better directing and production. Also at times it has a weird aspect ratio problem, it's like it was shot in different ratio and then later edited into 16:9. Really enjoying it so far.
But i do want to watch more dramas of this kind.
