i don't know what i expected from the first episode but this would definitely be my last guess! it's much different from anything i've seen so far, i'm curious about the rest of the episodes
oh jungse being 72nd after such a stellar performance in it's okay to not be okay should be a hate crime..... he performed so well and he's not even in top 10? top 15? make it make sense
Do you guys know if opinions from the audience influence in the writing for the end of a drama?
a lot of the times - yes, if the drama is not pre-produced. usually dramas are filmed during the week so the producers take ratings and public views into consideration in order to boost the popularity for the next eps (there were cases when they would reduce the number of episodes in case ratings are devastatingly low). there were also several instances when the scripts leaked so the plot was changed during the week. that said, this drama is already filmed and i believe it was first offered to suzy 2 years ago so it's a bit too late to consider the public opinion
all i'm gonna say is that i'm surprised the rating didn't drop this much earlier... i guess a lot of people were hopeful the writing would improve by the end but it didn't end up being any less disappointing
Everybody has their own right to give their own rating. Do it as you wish. This is a Netflix drama though, and…
what exactly is ur point lol? people are just rating it for fun based on their personal preference. why exactly would they care about whether non-kdrama fans check their mdl ratings? i rarely check reviews for western shows and i still end up dropping them in case i don't like them
nothing to thank me for :') honestly i'm just really glad that most people agree on how unreasonable their approach to hjp is... i guess we're all tired at this point
"1. [+3226][-174] If he helps, they're rude and if he doesn't, they are still on his case - How much does Han Jipyeong need to help for the Samsan Tech crew to realise this?"
"2. [+2758][-103] Apart from Dalmi, why is no one at Samsan Tech grateful to Han Jipyeong... If it weren't for him, they would've had their tech stolen in the beginning and would've failed but they are hostile and ungrateful against him - it just seems so selfish ㅠㅠㅠㅠ"
"4. [+1926][-110] Seriously, they fully ignored the mentor... ㅋㅋㅋ Also, why are they hitting him??? Does anyone know?? They were the ones who signed the contract"
If I write a script, then this script wouldn't exist without me either. So, should everyone be thankful that my…
the point is not whether we, as people who watch the show, could write a better plot. that's not our profession. we're not being paid to do that. the screenwriter and the director should however be able to execute that well, unless they want to be perceived as being bad at their job. not everyone is good at their job at all times, and this drama is an example of a less successful attempts of the screenwriter and the director to produce and write a quality piece
yeah i think i'm just gonna drop this until it finishes and then i'll binge watch kang hanna's scenes (all 5 minutes that she'll probably get in the remaining episodes) as well as kim seonho's scenes. i don't normally watch dramas like this (while skipping scenes) but i feel like it's become a waste of time. it was a nice ride but this drama was about everything but start ups, the writing is lazy and inconsistent and they wasted so many characters. and it had so much potential when it first started. i'm honestly sad this wasn't as enjoyable as i hoped it'd be because i'm under a lot of stress lately and i really wanted to get my mind off things and relax by watching a good drama. the screenwriter and the director disappointed me the most tho, i didn't expect this based on their previous work... oh well
team jipyeong did u guys known kim seon ho said one day by kim feel (ost of the drama) got him choked up??????…
it’s honestly so cute how much he promotes it :’) he was also excited that his picture is on the ost cover kim feel is one of his fav artists. we love a successful fanboy
But Grandma did not want that. Grandma could have asked him to be Dal Mi's real penfriend. Use his real identity.…
i mean grandma helped for sure, especially in the beginning but you can see it was based on his personality and thoughts (especially with the birthday thing lol). hjp's anger and frustration towards unfairness that he's experiencing and inability to verbalize his feelings because he's not sharing his worries with anyone openly hence random outbursts ≠ inability to think wisely and maturely (especially given everything he's been through + it's way easier to do it in a written form where no one is judging him for his circumstances as they might irl.. let's pretend there are no stigmas around it)
this is literally inaccurate, he didn't leave after the father died. also you do realize what kind of a fight…
he was literally a kid and he could open the same account if he had a parent. the issue was that he was an orphan. "all the money that he has was because he did illegal things" ah yes, reading a ton of business books as a high school student and learning how to invest, and later financing his studies (which he otherwise couldn't do because he had no one to rely on) is ALL illegal. i'm not saying that his decision was right for not informing the grandma and asking her first, but the state she found him in was almost helpless. he was kicked out of orphanage and had nowhere to go. do you expect a minor in that state to keep making decisions perfectly rational?

"That it was because Grandma wanted to put her own words in the letters." i absolutely agree with this point, but not as much with the rest. hjp was already an orphan who was having a hard time, and asking him to be real friends with dalmi would no longer seem like a favour he could do easily with her help but likely as a condition for all help that grandma provided. she also needed to create a strong, inspiring figure from dalmi that she could look up to, just remember how excited dalmi was that a math genius is talking to her. hjp was a kid who also had no one, she'd be basically setting her up with a loner who was angry and hurt. she didn't even want to introduce to hjp to sdm despite the fact she literally let him live at her place
Just finished EP 10. And here is my take. As sad as jp's backstory is, everything that has happened to him is…
this is literally inaccurate, he didn't leave after the father died. also you do realize what kind of a fight he had with grandma before he left? he probably didnt get in touch out of guilt (which i don't fully justify). to this day he feels guilty for leaving the grandma with the money and feels like he can't compensate enough no matter what he does which is why he went as far as he did after he realized there was smth he could do for grandma again
