3.5/10 . Episode 16 totally revealed with the whole garbage was. writer is one big hack. did the scam and ran…
i'm sorry but i always laugh at your comments, i mean it's kinda concerning that you're always this frustrated but the fact you finish all these dramas only to write offensive rants seems so... sad. if it's a waste of time, why don't you do something else?
Dan ah apologises in the end and says smthing like "for some people it's what they worry about for their lifetime…
it's not only about character development but it's actually a great way to educate the viewers too. this is likely the first drama that explicitly addressed why it's wrong to do what danah did. and honestly idk about other people, but as someone who's been hurt a lot because of the same things, i do appreciate that they included it and that the writer made her take accountability. the fact that her apology was direct and personal was the way to do it.
from explaining asexuality when ksg was confused seeing may and mr jeong together, to yeonghwa crying when his best friend confessed that he liked him (and meeting his bf in the credits!!), his sister comforting him, as well as his mother trying to be there for him more.. even danah directly apologizing for using the label to protect herself from marriage but recognizing that that is a 'lifetime worry for someone else' while she used it as an excuse... all of these moments made me so happy. so happy that i couldn't stop crying seeing all of these scenes. they recognized that sexuality is a spectrum yet everyone had a happy ending, they didn't use these characters only to exploit their traumas or stereotype any behavior for comedic purposes. this drama tackled so many social issues and these were just a few and i just wish i could thank the writer for doing such a beautiful job. god, at this point i feel like i'll keep coming back to rant about all of the things i loved but there are so many.
even though some trolls have entered what was until now a perfectly peaceful comment section, i just want to say how happy i feel coming here to check the comments - every. single. time. this drama has definitely provided a lot of comfort for quite a lot of people and i genuinely can't remember the last time i didn't see everyone frustrated over misunderstandings, over cliches and character inconsistency. the comments have been so insightful, always highlighting such interesting details, to the point where i'm looking forward to the comments as much as i look forward to episodes every week. and i can't remember the last time that happened. i just love the fact this was such a feel-good drama, and that one could learn so much from the characters. i wish it wasn't ending so soon.
i forgot to say this below but i suppose that a lot of people (myself included) are waiting for the drama to end before they rate it. if it stays as good as it is right now, i'm sure the ratings here will be even higher and i'm really looking forward to that. 8.5 is a great rating for mdl but it honestly deserves even more!! this was definitely a comfort drama for a lot of people. not a single week passed without everyone swooning in the comments and being happy with the character development.
wooshik calling seongyeom a trash because he thought he was deceiving mijoo is hands down one of my fav scenes in this drama. he respects seongyeom more than anyone but he still got so visibly upset and had to call him out (wooshik best boy!!). but who let the two most innocent characters have a scene like that? the way they were both lost was too cute
Do y'all also think Young Hwa's friend has a crush on him!?
for sure, especially with how jealous he seemed earlier whenever younghwa spends time with ksg. that convo they had was also super weird, when they were talking about going to church. first his friend said that he knows younghwa better than anyone but later he said that younghwa knows nothing and that he doesn't know him at all
the kiss... i hope it continues in the next episode...danah has a problem if he smiles and she has a problem if…
true, her emotions must be a mess. but it was hilarious when she asked mr jeong to smile and he gave her... well... everything but a natural-looking smile :')
something about mijoo apologizing for turning to sarcasm so often instead of explicitly expressing her feelings made me really happy. especially bc ksg takes most things she says seriously, even when she just tells them without giving it much thought (such as the diary thing). it's not that he minded it in the first place (or it didn't seem so) but she was not only considerate of his feelings but the weight of her words. i think it's my first time seeing someone say that this is something they wish to change.
and that movie date was adorableeee, was im siwan even acting in that scene? it just seemed so natural, esp towards the end. why did those lines seem like they could be his adlibs? the phone call was also hilarious, i didn't expect to see ksg calling anyone an idiot like that
based on the preview, it seems like omj wants to hold ksg's hand but she can't because he's holding the honey again. this drama is so effortlessly funny i swear
Yasss debunking all the kdrama cliches.in ep 5 misunderstanding clicheand ep 6 preview "i thought we were in love…
this!! also OMJ realizing it's not smart to get drunk when she was sad and going to bed instead (i feel like most screenwriters would get her really drunk and let her make a scene) and even working out with may in the park later, and KSG getting drunk but going back to his daily habits right after instead of isolating himself. there are so many nice twists on the typical kdrama events. i also loved how he had a shower scene but they never showed him, just the bathroom lol.
when they finished filming "do you like me scene?" ISW approached SSK and (jokingly) asked if she liked him again. and when the pds were saying "this is before you start dating" when they were being affectionate during a poster photoshoot, ISW said "but we're already dating."
they have so many sweet moments and i love how the set is filled with their laughs and how comfortable they feel around each other. SSK even said her first impression of ISW changed in a way that she didn't expect him to be this funny and that he's super caring. whatever she mentions on the set, he brings that thing for her the next day. when describing her charms, ISW said "if she looks at you with those brown eyes, it feels like you could fall into those eyes." he also said that she's super considerate of him and takes care of people well.
seriously wednesday can't come soon enough. these two are an instant serotonin boost for me these days :') i never thought they'd be such a good match
OMJ: We purposely hang it out the balcony to keep us safe, but no one's ever worn it though. What's wrong, is it too flashy? KSG: I wasn't able to think that far. I'm just surprised that people actually do that. Thanks for letting me wear this.
OMJ: You startled me. KSG: I'm truly sorry about this. I thought you were out for a jog just like me. Anyway, I think I know what went through your mind so I'm really sorry about that.
I feel like I was especially glad seeing these two scenes today. It really gave an insight into fears and worries that women share on the daily... how we take extra measures to protect ourselves even at our homes or how scary it can be to walk around alone at night. And I loved KSG's reactions. Even though it's not something he personally experienced, he tried to see it from her point of view immediately. He didn't freak out about the clothes but thanked her for letting him wear them instead. It's really not that hard to say sorry and thank you in such situations, but sadly, I feel like that's not what we tend to experience.
