right? it seemed like such a filler but i guess it’s also nice that they’re breaking the drama stereotype where this would cause a series of misunderstandings and fights. and ohh i haven’t seen the paparazzi previews but i really hope they’ll just be able to date in peace public or not :(

oh god they were so soft in episode 27, i died when chu li said they should let the other goldfish go so the other one (zc) doesn’t feel sad and lonely

ahh adding a character who is interested in zhou chuan 7 episodes before the finale seems so unnecessary but knowing these two (and how chu li handles any drama or crisis) it won't cause any misunderstandings. but i guess it might make cl and zc go public with their relationship

not that i expected anything less from this cast, but our three lead ladies really deserve every acting award out there for their performance in this drama.

1. she will have minor problems with her, she does resolve it cleverly though
2. she finds out later on that he's her online friend but if you're on episode 7 it'll take a while

basically there are two lesbian characters in the drama (one of them is a lead, the second one has a supporting role). the husband of the actress who plays the supporting role was asked on instagram about his wife's character being a lesbian and he said that the character goes through suffering and then "goes back to normal" and that she's not homosexual. he also said "my wife and i are against homosexuality", and that the production team used homosexuality only as a marketing strategy. and to make things worse, her company released a statement saying sorry for the trouble this caused but we hope u understand that it's difficult for us to make a statement.

i just have to say that i agree 100%, there's no way they'd drag this into a love triangle. even tho he's interested in her, jyc sees that chu li likes both version of zc, offline and online (even if she's not aware lol). it's just that zc is not too mature in handling the matter so jyc is pushing him to make some moves by making him feel like he might "lose" chu li to him :')

agree 100%. i'm so glad that she didn't hesitate and that she didn't back down after cocoon took it to the social media (what an awful move??). it's great that they didn't drag this storyline either, but showed us that chu li sticks to her principles and that she takes action for what she thinks is right. she resolved the whole thing so quickly and in such a cool way

esther suits this role so much, her character is so warm and funny but she also knows how to stand up for herself (e.g. how she handles miao and cacoon) and fight for what she wants. even if she feels like complaining a lot, she's a problem-solver and she always gets the job done. chu li definitely shares a lot of similarities with real esther, even though (at first) she seems like someone who is always bubbly and carefree, she also has a serious, determined side and a high eq!

hey i hope you don't mind me asking, but since you said you read the novel, i was wondering if there was a love triangle in the novel too? based on the preview for the upcoming episodes, it seems like jyc will confess to her (which is so off to me because he knows his best friend likes her even if he doesn't say it?)

while waiting for the new season to air i have to write an appreciation comment for the production crew who kept us entertained in the past year even though we all miss the drama. i'm still amazed at the fact that we got a bts video for every episode with a length of an average drama episode. hospital playlist goes camping too and all this while preparing for a new season?! not only that shin pd and lee woojung are brilliant, but everyone working on this drama seriously deserves only the highest praises. the pd, the writers, the staff, the actors... all of them work so hard to bring us even closer to the journey that is hospital playlist. this drama really showed how to create a show where every story matters, where there are no big or small roles but only great roles for everyone who becomes a part of the journey. i'm so thankful for everyone who worked hard on this season and i'm so looking forward to it. i'm sure it'll be just as amazing, if not even more, as the first one <3
