is it even possible to choose a favorite contestant after the first two episodes? there are so many talented dancers on the show. looking forward to their next stages!
Well, by sheer lucky timing of translating/subtitling, episodes 16 through 20 (the final episode) have been released…
hi, i'm a bit late but i just wanted to thank you for all your efforts. you brought this wonderful drama closer to so many people and we all appreciate your hard work <3 i can't remember the last time i binge watched something but here i am now:)
If you watch the second episode you will see that it was just a dream
there's another scene in the kitchen later on and liu jing accidentally ends up saying that smth happened the last time the two of them were there, before realizing "the last time" was just a dream and shanmu is a bit confused before he catches on what that meant :')
The drama was sent to blue house before its airing. Blue house approved it, so dont worry
i believe that the blue house issued a statement where it said that it can't prevent the drama from airing, as that would go against the freedom of expression and the media and broadcasting laws in south korea. but for broadcasts that violate regulations or undermine public responsibility (an example being excessive distortion of history) there's KCSC which is a commission responsible for investigating the issue. so the blue house didn't really approve it nor cancel it. it just didn't have a legal right to intervene considering that jtbc stated that the drama was still in the production and that the public didn't have a full picture at the time (and the government, clearly, doesn't want to be accused of the abuse of power). so nobody really knows what's going to happen now with the second petition.
i don’t know why but when she started crying in the epilogue, i cried with her. the way she checked on her grandma first, silently closed the door and let the water flow so no one can hear her. it really felt like all the water overflowing the sink was everything she kept bottled up for so long. the whole scene really hit home.
what a fantastic first episode! lee youngae is absolutely brilliant in her portrayal of koo kyungyi. the way she changes her mood during the investigation scenes almost seems effortless; from acting like a nosy tourist to the serious side of her job, you can only be continuously amazed by her acting skills. i was a bit worried about the black comedy aspect of the drama, but i've actually enjoyed all comedy scenes. the introduction to the characters is just impressive imo, we've seen so much yet there are so many mystery elements to get excited for in the following episodes. kim hyejoon's character is so intriguing. super excited for episode 2!
I hope they provide a good reason as to why everyone related to Chief Hong's past suddenly started showing up…
i agree. usually i tend to overlook some of these elements when it's not over the top but tbh idk what was more unnecessary in this episode: making the wife of dusik's old colleague to be ji pd's sister/relative or making her coming to gongjin without giving a clear reason to do so. i guess if he does talk to her, it might help him overcome his trauma (that is, if she doesn't blame him anymore) but she's not in the previews and so far her appearance is super random. the thing about doha's dad was kinda off as well. it wasn't necessary for the plot at all. i get that they wanted to make it more dramatic and reveal everything before he gets to tell hyejin everything personally but they could definitely complete the show and last 2 episodes without the plot twist (or at least they could stick with bringing the wife and doing smth with her character instead). i mean how many times did he get hurt so far, having been blamed for so many deaths, and there is still room for more? his story suddenly got so much more complicated.
hey, i'm not sure if this counts as a spoiler so i'll make some space and write it below
but based on the preview they posted a few hours ago (aka the full scene where hyejin and hwajeong are talking about dusik), it seems that the luggage scene is not about him leaving but coming back to gongjin from seoul. during the scene, there was a narration by hwajeong about how he completely changed when he came back but no one could ask him anything about it.
I'm so happy for him that he got to overcome his trauma :')
me too! i can't even imagine how scary it must have been for a young child to suffer something like that and all the consequences that followed. so glad he's doing better and that he's even able to share his talent with all of us and bring so much joy into our lives with his acting. :)
yes, whole ep was so amazing that I don't know what to write and what to leave 😭😭. this is the best ep I…
right?? i felt so overwhelmed, i wanted to know what's next to come but i ended up replaying every single scene a thousand times :') this screenwriter deserves infinite years of good luck, wealth and happiness and a really nice fruit basket for treating us so well. she got us not knowing how to act hahah
2. DS looked proud because HJ was finally being accepted and cared for, as a family member, by those he considers…
ahh that's so wonderfully said. i really love the comparison you made. they both seemed so happy that the person they love was accepted and cared for by their closest ones. and with gamri backing dusik up to just go for it.. ah gotta love all of them
1. I LOVE THIS COMMENT SECTION and just how it was a massive prayer circle for a biological crisis yesterday only for it to actually happen?? miseon is not the only one who needs to change her job, let's just get rich you guys 2. it was so cute how hyejin just shrugged when dusik complained about the villagers only caring about her. he does it all the time and slowly she's adopting even his little habits. he also had such a foolish smile while they were taking care of her; he looked so proud that they consider her to be a part of their big family. 3. i also love how hyejin went from wanting to drink wine next to han river when she was going back to gongjin in ep 3, but now that she was in seoul, she seemed to miss gongjin and the ocean (though let's be real... it was mostly dusik but who can blame her). 4. wow hyejin kept her password the same even after exposing herself for not changing his birthday (i mean girl.. you share your house with miseon, how did you even explain it?) 5. i swear i thought my heart would explode while watching the episode. i can't even pick my favorite moment because every single one was everything one could ask for and more. i mean come on... the blanket, the shirt, her grabbing his shirt and being jealous, the poem, hj introducing herself to ds' grandpa and peeling snow crabs for him, just how comfortable and happy they seemed while they were talking and dusik asking if his grandpa would be as angry as hyejin for blaming himself... god even hyejin saying sweet dreams to bugyeong?? let me google how can i stop replaying these scenes and ep11 teaser because i'm afraid my heart can't take it
when the pervert got into hyejin's house i couldn't help but think about kim seonho's interview about his past trauma when someone robbed his house and stabbed his mom, and all the anxiety and fear he suffered because of it. i'm so proud of him as an actor and how he used acting to overcome his trauma. it's not the easiest thing to have a job that deals with so many people and involves doing so many difficult scenes but he's always doing his best and his acting was simply phenomenal. i felt so scared watching the scene. but even though it was really scary, i was glad that dusik was able to protect hyejin. after seeing him hear those awful words about how everyone around him gets hurt, this scene showed once again that it was because of him that someone was safe. and to think that he helps so many people, with all his citizen awards... ah dusik, you are the warmest and kindest soul but i hope you'll see your life just as precious as everyone else's.
