The usual nipple twister makjang except this one take a wonky unfavorable route because it thinks itself special. At least other daily melo can deliver "something". Even if we disregarded the ending, the drama was infested with retardation throughout its run. I detest this piece of garbage with passion. The one thing I hated the most is whenever Moo Yool & Yoo Jung looked at each other or muttered a single word, Soo Hyuk would instantly spawn out of thin air and screech like a pig. This is definitely Choi Yoon Young's & Sung Hoon's worst drama they starred in.
This drama is the definition of scam. I would rather be robbed and slapped on the face in broad daylight! The viewers, the characters, the production team and staff all were scammed blatantly by the writer. The writer did an identical move of the exact scam with her other drama "A Good Supper (2021)". Seems to have a good track record in scamming. The drama in general was scuffed including the earlier parts. The stinkiness began as early as episode 3. I hope Han Ji Hye can pick up better projects in the future. The last project she did that was actually good was "Sweet 18 (2004)" from 19 years ago!
For the story and this prolific love of theirs to work, a lot of hard work needed to prove their undisputed love and the leads needed to have a better chemistry which the drama didn't do a good job of neither. They took the concept of "love" and ran it to the ground. It was nothing but ugly. There was a desperate need of balance between good and bad. The opposing party (the baddies) were invincible until they weren't. The pace was often off, 5 episodes can pass while the leads don't even have much screen time. The breakups/separations gaps were too damn long without any interaction between either sides. About 10-15 episodes can pass without these "lovers" talking or seeing each other, what is this writing?! You can't make excuses for the drama for being old because I've seen infinitely better dramas from the same era. On another hand, Suk Jin just looks too old to be involved with the others. I wanted Suk Hee to have a bigger contribution, she got less screen presence than any of the support cast.
It works because it's silly and doesn't take itself seriously. Add to that a lot of chemistry from the trio and you get a light enjoyable watch. This is the right kind of triangle with no bad blood. Jang Na Ra is just too OP with rom-coms. Having 10 episodes instead of 16 seems to be working in its favor, otherwise it would have become melo and began to drag.
My least favorite drama from Kim Jung Eun. The music was fine but I couldn't stomach anything else, especially Hwa Ja's loud cringiness. The drama probably had the most boring divorce case in drama history. Would be better if it focused strictly on the music.
Unhinged comedy! The earlier parts were a solid comedy full of jokes and this is it's main attraction but unfortunately they tuned down the comedy a bit in the later parts. Maybe if it was cut down to 12 episodes they would be able to refine the comedy and fit it in a better package. Anyway, it's still a fun show to turn off your brain and just laugh.
The cast sucked! Kim Ki Bum was unbelievably bad. Anyway, they had an idea that might had worked for a movie but they turned it into a full drama instead.
Silly little makjang. It's amazing they managed to drag us for 50 episodes for nothing and I mean nothing. Good performance by Shin Eun Kyung & Seo Woo.
These kind of dramas usually have a decent concept and beginning but fall apart quickly within 5 episodes and this one is no exception. Shallow story padded with nothingness yet they don't take advantage of developing one of the side stories like Jung Yeon & Yong Duk. Hell, it seems they were completely forgotten in the last few episodes with no update about them. Rest in piece Lee Eon!
Not that bad if you can get over Chul Soo and his initial impression. It's mostly lighthearted and comedic without much melo. With that being said, I wanted to see more variety with the characters since it feels a bit stale as it is. Also, a better developed story was needed.
Hella exhausting to watch. There are about 6 nasty people roaming around the lead and her kid. Imagine 6 evil mothers in law terrorizing everyone. Blind obsession that only get resolved because the drama reaches the last episode. Chae Rim needs to comeback to the scene with a modern drama.
Jung Hee the dullest character in the drama, would be better to remove her. The story was too shallow to function and the younger cast ain't helping either. I wanted to see more of the older cast and less of the younger cast. It also had too many plot holes to ignore.
It had a good start but it stumbled and fell on its face so damn hard which is unfortunate. It seems the writer was clueless and had no clear direction on what to do with the female lead, she always went through the worst possible path which led to the worst outcome amongst the other couples. I lost interest in her story after the divorce. They had a great set up to fully utilize the entire runtime to develop her story but they did such a poor job in that regard. The other characters/pairs were tolerable while Oh Yoon Ah being the only one to stand out. Another thing was too obvious is how poor the pacing was. It was tolerable at the beginning because there was a decent comedic fillers especially with ML's father but later on there was none of that.
This is the worst "I fell in love with the organ recipient from my deceased lover" type of drama. They pushed the subject of "cellular memory" way too far, making the girl a clone of the donor. The fact that Kam Woo Sung looks older than his real age and Choi Soo Young looks younger than her real age, made the entire thing worse than it already was. The relationship was too iffy regardless of that. I watched four dramas from the same writer and it seems she has a consistent record in fucking up the later parts of her projects. Good to know.
Not sure if this is a revenge drama or a harem one. There are like 5 women lusting over the main guy. Fitting its title a "bad boy". All of the relationships seems to be written by a teenage girl in her fanfiction blog. Maximizing the cringe! It's borderline a comedy for how silly and goofy it was. It's the worst revenge drama I've ever seen. I read that the drama was cut short by 3 episodes because of Kim Nam Gil military service, this forced a ridiculously baboonish last episode which was the icing on the cake to make it a certified bad drama. Again, fitting its title.
It had a good start but it stumbled and fell on its face so damn hard which is unfortunate. Two major things stuck out. it had the worst and lamest written antagonist I thought could be possible, specifically Sung Tae and Cho Won characters. What made it even worse are the incompetent actor and actress who played the roles, both can't act at all. Luckily there weren't around for the entire run but the left a stinky trail. The other thing that stuck out was the leads "love". The drama made a big mistake not justifying why their love is so great and worth fighting for. The lack of build up, backstory, depth, chemistry and romance between them, all of which made their case worse. I remain unconvinced of their efforts.
The drama had other problems as well. It seems the writer was clueless and had no clear direction on what to do with the side cast. For example Min Soo and his wife, the writer didn't know what to do with them at all. At the beginning they were set up as the married couple that would have marriage problems but they ended up just roaming around and being silly. The same thing can be said about the rest, they're just fillers and the focus remained on the leads. This is not good in a family focused drama since the objective is to actually include the family to have a proper familial vibes.
This drama had a good example of how to do a proper "enemies to lovers" relationship instead of the usual light banter we get. The leads actually hated each other intensely with lots of bad blood between them and it took them quite some time to change that. The elder sister story I wasn't a fan of, it felt flat and lacked depth. Meanwhile the son's story was almost non-existent with the usual cameos every now and then for a comedic relief. More focus on the family was needed. The drama itself was decent although it was lacking in many areas and the last 10 episodes weren't as interesting.
