First 5 minutes in the first episode it was an obvious cheap and cringey comedy filled with squeaky visual/sound effects that you often see in Youtube videos. Apparently being obnoxiously loud, with exaggerated reaction and swearing nonstop equals comedy.
A story of a man who loves his wife but can't get his ex out of his head because of that he brought himself and his family a lot of trouble and emotional damage.
Kim Hye Soo gave a stellar performance as per usual. The drama needed more "actual" content and spice. The information related to the investigation are given in small droplets while the episodes are filled with repeating dialogues.
I liked the concept and the initial set up but shortly after it got stale. Even the small cases weren't interesting. There was no good dynamic between the characters after few episodes. Park Min Young became less than a support character after few episodes.
About half way through the story was over so what can they do for the second half? Introduce selective amnesia, a classic move. This is one of the most mediocre dramas of its genre ever and got the highest number of cheesy cliches ever. On another unrelated note, every single character uses the exact same phone model Samsung Galaxy S5, big sponsor eh?
The drama had a similar concept of another drama called "Dating Agency: Cyrano (2013)" where they manufacture a plan to make the participant fall in love through observation and manipulation.
A failed psychological drama. It's insulting to adhere it to the psychological genre. Too many issues to count but I loved Han Ye Seul performance so it wasn't that bad. 5/10
Not a fan how they turned the ending around, FL ended up making the compromises despite what she had to go through.
Yo! These relationships are atrocious! Every single one of them. As if it was generated from teenage girl fantasy. This drama is the equivalence of stuffing yourself with 20 Twinkies at 3 AM. Episode 12 reeks of horseshit, straight up revolting, and Hae Young is one of the worst ML I've seen in a long time. I wished one of the leads would die to the hotel murderer that would have been more entertaining.
The unfortunate change of the screenwriter at ep5 was definitely noticeable. The only good thing going on for it was the familiar cast members. 2/10
Reminds of the drama You're all surrounded, which shares many similarities. Both leads work in the same field, they both divorced after losing their daughter, their daughter case wasn't solved and similar culprit.
Eun Yeong was weird, she is a mother who lost her daughter years ago and since then she never questioned anything until it was shoved in her face. Compared to the father's love to his daughter she is an embarrassment to be a parent.
I wish Sun Woo Sun didn't drop out from the drama. Didn't like how they replaced her like an expendable character. Jung Il Do with that specific love interest at the end didn't feel right at all.
It's impossible for this drama to have a high rating for how many shortcomings it suffers. The cheap visual effects and sound production ruined it for me from the get go. Add to that poor performance from some of the cast members.
Splitting the story in two parts created a plethora of inconsistent writing. You are also immediately thrown into action without proper world building. Concepts like alien and clone were handled very poorly.
I hope they don't make a season 2 because it's a massive mess to clean up and they will probably fail. Even if they did, it wouldn't have any connection to season 1 other than the alien.
Its biggest problem is being one of the unfunniest comedy dramas. Simply put, jokes didn't land. I liked the huge number of guest appearances and that's it.
It goes with everything I dislike but I couldn't stop watching Eun Ju. She is definitely a character I will remember for a long time. If it wasn't for Eun Ju this drama would have been unsalvageable. On the other hand, watching Hyo Sun will make you physically tired.
The last episode at the last 25 minutes that was some bullshit!
This is the bad kind of melodrama. Not a single likable character. People calling it mature but these characters are the farthest thing from being mature. It had the chance to be different. For a second I though they wouldn't force a break up but it went with the classic melo move. By episode 9 my interest was almost nonexistent.
Exhausting melodrama full of oppositions and lacks proper balance. But what's even more exhausting is the unbelievable frustration of seeing female lead running away repeatedly non-stop. From start to finish she kept running and pushing ML away, I'm beyond done with this immature behavior.
They introduced Park Shin Young in the second half because there wasn't enough "story" remained to push for another 10 episodes. Her existence brought the drama down even further.
Even though she plays a number of antagonist roles I still really enjoy watching her. I've seen 10 dramas of her so far and I'm looking forward to watch more. Hopefully she finds a better management company that doesn't rob her.
Hated the first episode, one of the most generic melo childhood flashbacks I've ever seen. I think this the drama had the highest number of birth secrets I've seen, there was about 4 lol. Every single character had mommy problems. Dunno if I should hate Yoo Kyung or not, they kinda manipulated the viewers at the end.
I liked how there wasn't no over dramatic table flipping seething violin playing people passing out moments after the "secret" was revealed. They surprisingly handled that in a rational way.
It doesn't do anything revolutionary but it was a decent melodrama 6/10.
This drama had 3 screenwriters? Seriously? Not even 3 writers could save it. What an embarrassing result! Few days ago I watched (Temptation 2014) and I hated Park Ha Sun's character so I already had some feelings carried on coming into this drama. Didn't like the professor and his brother. Wish they kept Ha Yeon Soo around rather than being a guest because the drama kinda felt empty.
The characters are drinking but there's not much focus on the drinks, kinda goes against the intended theme.
Hopefully they never produce another installment of the franchise. Just like the three seasons of Let's Eat, the ending was underwhelming AF and this is no exception.
Let's state the obvious, the comedic moments weren't good, it always felt forced. I assume they wanted to do that…
The "real" Moo Gang who died in episode 2 we were never told what happened to him after he was taken away and that really bothered me for the entire remaining 16 episodes.
Let's state the obvious, the comedic moments weren't good, it always felt forced. I assume they wanted to do that to lighten the mode? It took what felt like an eternity to kick start the story. Teasing the viewers constantly about the "tape" for the entire series was kinda annoying. How many times you can save Ha Ram's life became a personality trait for the male characters in the drama lol.
When you over complicate a story, things get out of hand real quick really fast. Maybe dedicate some of the budget to hire a team of skilled veteran writers instead? Many convoluted plotlines were brushed off eventually. Half of the death cases weren't interesting. The last 2 episodes in general contain some serious unsalvageable nonsense. The writer turned off her brain and started writing willy-nilly. Starting from the beginning of episode 13 there was a big disconnect with the story and the momentum.
Abysmal ending. The ending goes into my list of "I'm a special quirky little writer so I'mma pull an ending out the depths of my ass". They tried to make it "poetic" but ended up shooting themselves in the foot. The writing department was really lacking and barely functional that by the end it leaves you with nothing but pretty visuals. This is a real case of a drama that had high potentials but fails to deliver.
In conclusion, it got a visually appealing atmosphere, good enough cast, and it's entertaining enough to be passable. Definitely doesn't deserve the hype. The series was from Netflix I should have known better. This is a 5.75/10 on a good day.
This season felt meaningless, every other scene I kept thinking back of Seo Hyun Jin. The constant flashbacks of their college days made it even worse. They were also focusing too much on bullshit instead of food, kinda goes against what the series was meant to be. Out of the 3 seasons, this one is the worst. The rating goes as follow: 2nd > 1st > 3rd.
The biggest downfall of all three seasons is the main male lead Yoon Doo Joon. This series should have had a completely different cast with zero relation to the previous seasons. When having the same male lead with different girl each season, they are carrying unnecessary problems/emotional package from season to season. The biggest example is how they treated the FL from 2nd season like a bag of dirt in the 3rd season just to replace her quickly with the new girl, it felt nothing but awful! Disregarding all the emotions of the 2nd season like it never happened. Unforgivable how they treated Seo Hyun Jin. Look at the series "I need romance" which also got 3 seasons but with every season they start with a completely new cast.
Second season remains the better one for this concept while the 1st and 3rd are trash.
This season is better than 1st and 3rd, probably solely because of the existence of Seo Hyun Jin. Food scenes were really good in this season too. In this season, male character traits are a bit different, at least keep it consistent. As a stand alone drama, it's watchable at best.

This season feels extremely empty. Not much comedy or romance or chemistry between main leads. Even the food bits weren't that good.

P.S. Kim Won Hae is always a treat to watch.
