Whenever they get to have a heart to heart moment they interrupt themselves and talk about work, literally in the middle of an emotional conversation. Really jarring! Also, some background music were too loud for an extended period of time.
The reason for their divorce was kinda stupid and came out of a whim. The writers needed them to be divorced for the story regardless of the reason.
After the initial hype of the first third settles it get stuck in a cycle of blackmails and counterattacks. If it weren't for their daughter's inclusion the story would have had turned into a deafening monotone tune series of events.
Yoon Sang Hyun wasn't a good fit to play a detective role. He's a better fit in comedic light dramas. Even Tae Oh he is too soft looking fuck boy. Revealing serial killer identity as early as the first episode was a bad move for the mystery element. Excruciatingly draggy. Straight up bad writing. Ji Wool one of the stupidest characters I've seen in a drama.
People in the drama and in the comments here were sympathizing with and wanting a happy ending for a psychopathic serial killer?!! They acting at the end as if he was a nice guy who didn't kill a bunch of people. Yo WTF!
Let's put it like this, I had a blast watching Jung So Min on the screen and disliked literally everything else. Some people in comments care for Dong Suk meanwhile he is a manipulative psycho smh :/
It's called "The Master of Revenge" yet it proceeds to pull a weak revenge plot. The "group" was separated for most of the runtime which contributed to its boring nature. Generic villain, lackluster revenge and lukewarm ending.
Fucking hell! That was a tedious triangle/square. Not much else happening so they ride heavily on this triangle for 20 episodes! You get to really hate Soo Hyuk more and more as the drama goes on. What a selfish piece of shit brick to his own family. Ruined whatever was good in this drama. Episodes 1-14 were okay, 15-19 bad, 20 just why?
Female lead was stubborn, doesn't hold back, fierce and bites back then she turns soft, cowardly and starts running away. They tried to do something "different" for the ending but it didn't land well.
Rated 19 and they operate on plastic dummies with fake CGI blood. It's just too much in your face. This is the writer's first work and it wasn't good, at least she is a way better writer now. The subjects that come from plastic surgery are poorly handled.
That last episode was really bad in terms of development.
Great performance by Lee Bo Young she didn't spare any emotion. No wonder why she was chosen for Mother (2018) which had similar elements that also include saving a child. She was way better in Mother (2018), highly recommend checking that out over this one. Mother (2018) is an excellent well made drama compared to whatever this is.
This one was full of melodrama fluff/bullshit. Barely watchable for the sake of some mystery. Everyone was stupid for the sake of creating more problems to solve later on. The set up was good but everything else flopped.
I don't understand why kdrama writers decides to turn off their brains as they approach the ending. This goes into my "I'm a special quirky screenwriter so I'm gonna pull an ending out of the deepest depth of my ass" list. What a fucking retarded ending!
One of the worst romances in a medical drama ever. Although it was brief but still.
Interesting characters' dynamic and great over dramatic performance but it's way over dramatic for a medical drama. Also, they could at least slapped a better ending instead of this weird whatever they did.
Decent show, falls short on the medical aspect but likable human drama. Too many members of the cast have a "condition", wish they focused on stranger patients more. Hospital management issues and their related characters like the hospital director weren't interesting.
Kwon Sang Woo soft spoken voice is goddamn mesmerizing. I'mma disagree with others, I liked who he was paired with very much. They are great together.
It's like taking a beverage and diluting the living shit out of it, it will still bear a resembling taste but a shit one that is. Its biggest flaws is the dumbed-down writing, mentally numbing. Kim Sa Kyung was the only highlight. From early on I was already disliking Lee Seung Gi constant intrusion. He kinda ruined the vibe.
Everything good the original drama did this one done the opposite. In short, the original version is miles better. There's some censoring happening, they really wanted to keep the +15 rating.
This is mostly gangs vs gangs and better fit in a movie format. They played a snippet from Linkin Park which was nice. Teasing us in the last minute with a quick shot of Jo Dong Hyuk was sneaky. But it doesn't matter this probably won't get a sequel. Even the movie had a teaser at the end.
You can feel the downgrade of what made the original drama good. This is basically a family friendly +15 version of the drama. You get a very similar story outline with the usual corruption of the people in power.
Wish they kept all of the original cast. This one only got Goo Tak & Woong Cheol.
Good thriller mystery with decent length. Liked the grim atmosphere and the unhinged characters. The last fight/epilogue was a bit too short, despite the last episode being 90 min.
In comparison, this is better than the 2017 spinoff drama.

Alive: Woo Je Moon - Heo Il Hoo - Han Gang Joo
Dead: Noh Jin Pyung - Jang Sung Cheol
Yang Pil Soon :( :( :(

Anyway, it's borderline passable.
