First 16 episodes were fine but when the amnesia hit there was a significant drop in quality. It was already uneventful but now after the amnesia it got dull, big time!! It flopped really hard after episode 16.
The last 10 episodes were seriously exhausting with the random bullshit they are throwing at us.
I'm only giving it 3.5 for the cast and the kids. Not recommended!
Yellow boots? more like too big for its boots. They throw this chase at the first 10 minutes to grib the viewers because the first 10 episodes were dull af. Choi Yoo Ra is not a good villan character, generic baddie does baddie things. I can't tolerate stupid characters and this one is infested with them. The only way to kick start the story is to insert incompetent authorities. It's baffling how no one questioned the blatant first trial. At that point the drama was gone beyond any redemption.
The ending left me frustrated, nothing appealing came out of it. There wasn't enough "justice" by then. I wanted some divine punishment beyond the justice system.
For 108 episodes, it's not worth it. These types of melodramas are never good, I don't know why I went through this. I saw Lee Yoo Ri in "My Father is Strange" and wanted to see more of her.
Great characters' interactions, they bounce off each other really nicely. The characters, the cuts, the jumps, the dialogue, the music insertion and the vibe it all reminds me of the anime Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou which happens to be one of my favorite anime.
It loses a bit of its charm and direction in the last 5 episodes but it remains a solid drama I'll remember for a long time. 8/10
This came out of nowhere, completely took me by surprise. Such an amazing drama. Chaotic crazy unpredictable. Captivating dialogue, vibrant characters and a soothing OST. This is definitely underrated.
Not good, what's up with the writing. I feel bad for the cast. Ok Taec Yeon was pushing too hard to be funny but it was just not working. As if triangle tropes weren't already amongst the most hated, now introducing a triangle with a ghost! A bit underwhelming and under-delivering for a simple straightforward drama.
Half of the side stories were boring. Got some pacing issues, 2nd half became draggy and the quality dropped. Maybe kill off some characters to make me feel something. The villain character/story was lame.
The main leads characters were fine, the 2nd leads characters were lacking big time.
There are some questionable stuff here like installing cameras in a school but hey it's a drama. The last 4 episodes are iffy with noticeable sloppy writing and ending. Meh at best...
Just from watching the first episode it's not encouraging to continue at all but here we are. The first 10 episodes are pure ass and the last 15 episodes are hot garbage. Comically insufferable writing. Characters dying got no weight or whatsoever.
The characters' writing is subpar at best, most of them are uninteresting and fall short pretty quickly. The leads (Jae Woo and Da Jung) relationship is dull, boring and uneventful, like two characters playing house. Even Da Jung alone as a character is too dry, she barely reacts to the environment around her. Da Ae and the doctor relationship has no chemistry or whatsoever, they are pushing for it way too hard. Da In relationship is full of teenage cringe, just remove her.
But hey, In Woo and So Lee were an okay couple.
I don't recommend this drama unless you are a fan of the cast, there are better family dramas out there to chip in 50 hours.
Light family drama. No heavy long conflicts, no bad blood, no soap opera cliche and no evil characters lingering around for too long.
Around the middle point things get too dull and uneventful, 10 episodes would pass and the story barely moved forward. Until the last quarter it gets back to normal pacing. You can feel around the middle point they didn't have an end goal or a decided number of episodes when it will end, so they were just bouncing around the story.
There are too many subplot I lost interest in them from the very first encounter. The singer Auntie, Se Kwang and Yoon Bin.
On the other hand, you have support characters who prove their worth and left a memorable impression like Bang Go Ok and Min Ji Young. Also we don't forget the tomboy Yi Sook. What an absolute treat to have her.
Very light family drama. No heavy long conflicts, no bad blood, no soap opera cliche and no evil characters lingering around for too long. The amount of babies produced in the last 10 minutes is truly impressive.
On the other hand, what's up with EVERY single relationship in the drama there is one side hiding a secret! Also, too much repetition of the same scenario with Aeng Du.
Don't watch it for the romance, it barely exist. For the same plot and setting I much prefer "The King of Dramas" or "The World That They Live In" over this one.
Oh god where do I begin!!! The production is embarrassing with no consistent picture quality. Bad sound design with muffled dialogue sometimes, peaking audio to an irritating level and bad music/OST insertion.
Wish the problems stayed with the production quality only but things get a lot worse!! The premise is misleading, big time! The few first episodes (and MDL synopsis) give you the impression that it is about a mother diagnosed with Alzheimer and want to teach her spoiled kids life lessons before the inevitable but what we got none of that. It's mostly about an old conflict, a missing child and some business related things (none of which about loan sharks).
If you are expecting to see siblings relationships with each other or with their mother or spoiled kids growing up, you get none of that. The kids adapt to their new life within 3 episodes without much struggle or whatsoever. Some characters disappear without any notice like the mother's secretary which we had seen a lot of him earlier.
Park Bo Gum shouldn't be part of the main cast, we only get 1 short scene of him every 3 episodes or so.
Alzheimer is a very very convenient plot device for a lazy writing here, 15 episodes can pass without any mention of it. Might as well just remove it.
The drama is full of extreme cliches and illogical moments that can only be seen in jaded makjangs, so be prepared. When they pulled up the DNA bullshit that was the purest form of manufactured shit I've ever seen!! Some genuinely frustrating moments that has no right to be here. In short, this is amongst the worst makjangs out there.
I swear who's ever responsible about changing the profile picture of actresses on MDL is intentionally choosing a less appealing picture for all of them. This is just a mugshot ffs.
I prefer this Lee Ji Ah much more than the post 'My Mister/Penthouse' Lee Ji Ah. It's just the two are so different. I'm keen to check Lee Ji Ah earlier works now.
Better than I thought, both leads got charisma and chemistry. Unfortunately, the drama falls short midway. After the 'reveal' all the events are repetitive till the end, it derails faster and faster as we are approaching the end.
Just watching the first 2 episodes you know you are in for a jaded makjang. First half was okay second half turns to a trashy cheap melo. At exactly midway point (end of ep12) everything get worse (writing, production, acting...etc) even the story shifts. Might as well list the FL's mother as part of the main cast since she literally get the most screen time in the 2nd half and we barely get to see 2nd ML. The story should have been about the boys from the store but we barely got anything out of their characters, instead we got 12 episodes of the ajumma trying not to choke on her lies.
I want to see Wang Ji Hye with a better written drama.

I got the raws but wish it will get subbed one day.
