This should have been called "Misunderstandings: The Drama". My god these characters have the mental capacity of 13yo kids. Also, this is by far the worst ML I've seen as a character and an actor.
Engaging and entertaining until episode 7 where it gets into elections and politics. Some scenes can get really long and boring. It starts to get better again after the elections (last 6 eps-ish). ML had a golden chance to confess about everything when his wife confronted Hoo Ja for the first time but he missed the chance. Overall better than expected comedy.
Bland but at least there is some fanservice. FL deserve better roles like Run On
Ending wise, we know that ML is thousands of years old and the human lifespan is insignificant in comparison, yet the FL wishes for him to be with her till she dies which he would have done regardless if she wished it or not. Would have been better if she wished for something greater like living with him for hundreds of years or maybe do something completely different like turning ML to a mortal to live an ordinary human life.
Long and boring but big sad vibes at the end that left the viewers with a strong impression which results in a higher rating. The story, pacing and character development lacks a lot and comedy is hit or miss. There isn't much appealing elements about this drama other than few nice moments here and there.
I feel the story got weaker around episode 14 after they decided to do the "reveal". One major thing that I didn't like is the ending. Their decision to live at countryside wasn't really justified aside from not bearing the long distance. The FL worked years for her career while ML is just living passively at the countryside. They already did the effort to show the ML adapting to the city life and he did to some degree. No matter how I look at it, it's just not the better option to leave. The FL justification is that the ML is a little sad boi who doesn't like the noisy city and he misses his crops and chickens!! How about to grow some mf balls. Idk I'm just too goddamn bothered by how they decided to end it.
The FL husband is such a shitty father, he doesn't care at all about his daughter. Not fully satisfied with the ending, at least change the school principle, he is literally part of the corruption. Maybe if they added another time skip years in the future would have been better than few months. Also, FL past alleged crime wasn't addressed/fixed legally, she just received a private apology!!! The FL became somewhat of a public figure after all the news coverage so the public still knows about her past and think she did what she did which would technically affect her daughter. The story is fine but there is just too many little things that didn't land well.
The drama doesn't have a good structure and the pacing seems to be all over the place. While I'm not fully content with the ending but it is somewhat acceptable, could have been better. The drama had a great cast with good performance but it is lacking in every other department.
My god this was really boring! Most of the jokes didn't hit, mostly cringe. Feels like a low budget drama. Most of the interactions are between the staff, we didn't get much patient-doctor interaction other than few and even those were brushed off quickly. I wouldn't classify this as a medical drama, this is a slice of life drama with a medical setting. ML is awkward and weird, borderline he almost can't act. While the 2ML is a better actor but I wish they wrote a better character for him. Overall, this drama is lacking in all departments and wouldn't recommend it. There are tens of better medical/comedy dramas than this.
Way too many flashbacks! It feels like 20% of the content is flashback. Also, I don't get the hate on FL?! She is amazing, all her other roles are great.
Another classic "let's cut all contacts then do a time skip then show up at the end" Yall complaining about FL are weird, there was enough good character development for her to care that much for the ML. There are two things I have a problem with: The drama is a bit repetitive: ML diagnose a patient then other doctors believe the diagnosis is something else and ML work towards proving his diagnosis is right, rinse and repeat. The other issue is the soulless unappealing the higher-ups at the hospital. Maybe give them some character to make the drama more engaging.
IU truly amazing, she shines through anything! Meanwhile the drama itself wasn't that good. I didn't like how it progressed. I didn't like how some plot elements were handled. The ending felt a bit bland, it ended really abruptly. Wish they gave the leads more time at the end, you will know what I mean when you see it.
The drama was solo carried by the amazing Lee Sung Kyung!

I would say it is already a waste of a good cast.

Anyway, Park Jin Joo was amazing as always!
