Idk, she threatened suicide to marry a man who murdered multiple people including her brother and cheated so hard he had a whole ass family in another country and her kid noticed but she didn't all the while she was being actively antagonistic to her husband's victim. Obliviousness is not a crime but there has to be a threshold for self reflection.

Wooju is by far the bigger victim. His grandad died hating him for something he literally didn't do and he grew up traumatised and isolated while his perpetrators family including his aunt and nephew actively schemed against him.

Genuine question. Instead of ffwding a show you arent enjoying and then complaining about it in a non constructive or thoughtful way, why not look for one you actually like?

Dont feel sorry for him. So much of this plot wouldnt have happened if he stood up for his mom and just told people about him. like ofc he couldnt have saved his aunt and uncle but he would have saved a LOT of people.

Chaeyol was the one who prepared the agreement that he could get Bihyung back by going into the past and then by erasing Biyhungs master and losing his memory. Obviously by not losing his memory he os still Biyhungs master and so didnt abide by the rules of the agreement but Bihyung is already back so hes getting busy work to make up for the broken contract almost like an if you want to stay in our world and hang out with tge goblins so bad youve got to do the dirty work.

On ep 10 and I can't finish because of how fuming I am and I know that Aoey won't even remotely get any sort of justice for the way everyone in this show just treats her like a moveable pawn in their own world taking away her autonomy left right and centre. Gen can actually piss allll the way off. Imagine leaving someone you supposedly care about under the wing of some guy you fake dated and the person who quite literally didn't give af if she was dead or alive and, even with literal evidence, didnt believe her own traumatised daughter. i want to actually scream.

You don't have to have a villain to have conflict. The risk of getting caught from the house lie and a little corporate rivalry between the family honestly can be enough when done well. not everything needs a moustache twirling evil guy behind the shadows.

Hes a really good / hateable villain though if that helps. haha. Like hes not a 2ml he's just full villain.

YJG really needs more people to give her the kind of talking down that Mr Baek gave her because her arrogance and self righteousness is so frustrating to witness especially near the end of ep 7.

Glad we got a whole ep without Beaute boss though cause they are really good at writing him in a way that makes me want to scream every time he's on screen. Worse than OG Wooju.

Also I usually ignore them but the continuity errors this ep (7) really stood out to me for some reason. Can we at the very least keep Meri on the same side of the bed between shots pleeeeease?

Oh and the make up dept deciding that a woman who wears no lower lash make up has really prominent tear stains under her eyes just because she cried hehehe I really expected the side smudge

I mean Ive watched and loved so many shows that have included depictions of more graphic sex scenes (both queer and straight) than this show and im rarely like ... was this just an excuse for a couple of sex scenes? But with this show I ended with the thought of was this just pay gorn? Because the premise was promising but the actual substance was so lacking and yet instead of using some of that time for more character study we had two quite long sex scenes (relative to the total run time) which were a good chunk of the very short amount of time this series had and the second one at least failed to tell us more about the characters or the world, which is what scenes are generally supposed to do. I would maybe feel different if they had shown any sort of emotional ot physical contrast in the second one to the first scene but maybe that was the intention and they just failed at it.

I think they just didnt give her a chance to process and kept betraying her / ignoring what her life would look like after everything. they kept trying to destroy the wedding even after she knew about them and her knowing put her in the same position as the other lady they wanted him to marry so they could have left the wedding alone and talked to pin afterwards but they all worked against her instead of talking to her. And lets also not forget just because she's not the protagonist this is her fiance and her closest living relative here. Two people she loved so deeply she kept fighting for them to get along. Like the only thing making them not the villains here is they're being persecuted for being queer but they still wrecked her heart playing her right in front of her and left her alone in the dark in chaos in her wedding dress to be berated by the evil stepmother. What she did was NOT good but I feel like you get to be pretty woe is me for a little in her circumstances.

How many people will not watch a show that otherwise really engages them just because they met as a child? Especially when, as you said, its a common trope that is hard to avoid. The use of this trope could only suggest that the trope on its own is popular if it wasn't in unpopular dramas that otherwise have the same quality as the popular ones.

Thats terrible logic irrelevant of whether I agree or disagree with the premise that more ppl like the trope or not. That's like saying all good food has bacteria so people must love bacteria. it's just ... there. and is also present in plenty of unpopular / bad dramas. You can't really separate that specific trope from the rest of the pieces that make a popular drama popular.

I really liked the start but found the FL insufferable as the show started to close. The way she would openly discuss their business to literally everybody in his life APART from the ML was truly infuriating. And choosing to try and make what should have been a really joyous day about her by telling her mom at that moment was just like... how are you 30 and still thinking about literally noones feelings but your own? When she was instigating ML to be angry, I was practically fuming and the cheek to be smiling because she made him fall apart I can't. I was rooting for them literally until the last 2 eps despite what she'd been doing but they really just took me out of it and the number of flashback scenes did not help.

its so funny. I really thought they would fix the lack of 2nd cp that happened in the book and extras but they really managed to make it worse 😅 that's so funny. I was literally looking forward to them actually having more resolution

I mean I think Kataoka does know given what he said in the thing for next week. its also why he fully understands he's gonna be killed from the start. Both the boys seem to know the unspoken thing unless they're both wrong lol.
