The character either really doesn't think past his selfishness or has zero ability to empathise with others. Yikes.

No I totally agree. He's constantly saying he wants to leave and having a strop when he doesn't get his way too. The outcome might be alright in performance but I feel like he would take so much emotional energy to work with long term.

So first in the novel he sends the picture as an attachment to SWL much later when he was already focused on looking for GT and no longer cared about who the Omega was (instead of just telling him it was GT)

Then on the night SWL was close to finally finding GT he apprehended him (for a reason in fairness as he was literally tearing the house apart in a frenzy looking for GT), drugged him and sent him over to Country P to be locked up in a dungeon by his dad. 😭😭😭

Yeah, he's mean / a dick but thats not really crazy behaviour, even outside of the omegaverse. Like theres been no kidnapping, stalking, SA faking, drugging himself, changing persona and lying etc. To put these two on anywhere near the same level doesnt really make sense.

Nothing Wenlang has done comes even remotely close to what Hua Yong does, I'm sorry. Haha. He's mostly just a dick.

The fact that even Hua Yong was in on it pissed me off. Wenlang helped him with his psycho scheme, he said he'd help and then played coy and helped lock him away. He did WAY worse to his Mr Shen than Wenlang did to Gao Tu in both the show and the novel and then he had the GALL to be joking about it when it was a deep cut. Honestly even if they rip them apart afterwards if we could just get him soothing Gao Tu during the pregnancy 😭😭 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

And actually the most annoying part is in the novel you never actually get to see their relationship. They're implied to be together in basically a few paragraphs. It is so frustrating to me seeing as I read it all in two days specifically to see more of them as the show was too slow for me and I was obsessed with them.

Basically everyone in the world conspires to keep him from Gao Tu based on the misunderstanding that hed be abusive to him and try and get him to abort their baby. Even though he wants to comfort Gao Tu and reads like parenting books and all that he misses the birth of his child and 3 years of his kids life. Like literally his parents, Hua Yong, Gao Tus sister. EVERYONE is involved in keeping him away.

I am really glad they are diverging from the novel and extras with the second couple because in them Wenlang got done DIRTY. I wonder if theyre just cutting out the mpreg and thats why Gao Tu hasn't quit yet or if they are just delaying it in the timeline to focus on the main cp first.

Wenlang constantly calls him a lunatic. I think he's figured at least that part out 😅

I couldnt wait for the 2nd couple to progress so i read the whole of the novel and extras 😖
