I love this drama but at same time I am perplexed by the magnitude of understanding male leads get. I am in episode…
Nah people here were defending the male lead and being adamant that she forgives him as quickly as possible because quote unquote he was turning into a simp and the drama was somewhat feminist propanga.

Imagine my shock when I came here and saw this, I had such a headache trying to reason with these people. Like even if she never forgave him, I wouldn't even be upset.

This is my first wang chu ran drama, and honestly her performance made me a fan. she's not only visually stunning, but also embodied the character. This honestly one of my favourite female characters in cdrama

OK now after all this hard to get game by the FL All this toxic attitude by FL towards the ML All this Emotionless…
When you start spouting things like these, then maybe it's time you take a step back and realise it's a fictional work geared towards a certain demographic.Despite the realities, most people would like to see their partners put in an effort to ask for forgiveness when they ere..whether it's buying their favourite foods, gifting them, writing letters or something. Depending on the degree of offence, it is then the person's right to choose when to forgive their partner. It seems you didn't watch this drama well so let me state a few things.1. Lord huiayang assumed that she was the concubine of lu wen which means in his mind, she is innocent and he still decided to take advantage of her amnesia. In those days, the integrity and chastity of a woman was very much valued so her sleeping on the same bed as him without actually being married was already side eye. Everyone in the drama from Cui Jun, to Lih Miantang to her grandfather and when his shadow guards understood the gravity of this deception so it isn't an easily forgivable matter.
2. Liu Miantang however decided to forgive him much earlier than you guys think but would not allow herself to be in a relationship with him because she already planned her revenge and does not want interference and she feared that the disparity in their positions was to great and she wouldn't get freedom.
3. Lord Huiayang managed to convince her that both of her worries wouldn't be a problem and showed her his utmost sincerity. And she then allowed herself to be in a relationship with him
4. In no way did this man become a simp, I would have agreed if he decided to leave his lordship for her but he still had Presence of mind and didn't allow love to cloud his judgement so he is not a simp.
5. Feminist Fl? if you have a problem with women standing for what they want and worrying about their freedom being snatched away due to marriage, then the problem is you.

The feminist conspiracy to look down ml to the highest point succeded...just consoling my mind with their electrifying…
The grandpa said he was joking with the Lord regarding her marriage and Liu miatang emphasised that point later saying the old man was bitter after loosing a game of go and wanted to mock Lord Huiayang and didn't expect him to take it so seriously. Her grandfather even felt bad after and had little tears in his eyes when he outed himself.

no one expected Lord Huiyang to leave his position as Lord of zhenzhou, the grandfather said as Joke. Don't take it too seriously.

Expect different opinions. If half of the comments are not siding with the FL and most of us are females ourselves,…
Even the male lead knows he's wrong and doesn't deserve forgiveness, I don't know why you guys are trying so hard to absolve him from his misdeeds.

He saved her for his own benefit, you think if she wasn't his enemy's concubine, he would have saved her? He was nice to her only because he wanted to maintain the image of the false marriage. it seems you guys have forgotten he literally set a trap and made her carriage tumble causing her to injure her arm, while having the audacity to smirk. He manipulated and lied to her face multiple times for his own gain.

So tell me how any reasonable person is supposed to trust someone like that, especially if you can put his niceness to being part of his well thought out deceit.

This is another drama where scriptwriters can only show fl as ambitious and strong by making her only care about…
But the female lead has emotional connections with everyone around her, hetfellow business partners who she calls brothers, her grandfather, she even has friends that she made along the way. How do you equate sidelining a romantic love interest because he betrayed her to sidelining emotional connections? Is romantic love the only thing worth mentioning?

The male lead is still very much a strong and ambitious character, he was ready to give up on her until he found out she was in the same city as him. He's literally playing the long game with the other Lords and that's why he's currently idle in Beizhou, so he has free time to pursue the female lead...is there a problem with that

But how was the male lead emasculated? He's literally doing the bare minimum to ask for the female leads forgiveness.

Trying to get her food that she likes without her knowing? Trying to get her to spend time with him even if it means buying it? Publicly confessing to her?

hmmmmm. I didn't expect to come here and see many anti-FL comments, it honestly made me raise an eyebrow.

so let me get this straight, Would you easily forgive a man that took advantage of your amnesia, lied to you that he was your husband and you slept with that man on the same bed for months, all these while being your arch enemy.

I say let him grovel some more. it would be so unrealistic and stupid of her to forgive him so easily considering the kind of character she's written to be. She's brave, stubborn, decisive and no nonsense.

she dumped Ziyu and she can dump him too. she reminds me somewhat of cheng shao shang from LLTG, they obviously loved the male leads but there was the issue of trust which both MLs in this case broke. it's honestly admirable of her

lol some of the comments on the youku videos..."FL should know martial arts"List of FL Traits we've seen so far:-…
For real, most people never cut the female lead some slack. like wdym you want her to know martial arts as if she isn't already pulling her own weight. They have already told us that Xue Li was talented in the four arts that women were supposed to know before she died. One think I like about the author of the novel is she writes somewhat realistic books, in that time women of respected families aren't really expected to know martial arts except they belong to a martial family but even that is stretching it. The only female protagonist I know written by this author ithat has martial art skills is He yan and that's because she posed as her male cousin for most part of her life so she learnt it in school.

Otherwise, her female characters are in line with what is expected of women in that era except they are really intelligent, cunning and intuitive

Thanks for the engagement, it appears you're a fan of both Wu Jin yan and Yang mi since you have the time watch, comment and rate their dramas

First of all, Gwi Joo is a loser (a cute one) but a loser all the same and it's honestly so endearing because he's clueless.

Secondly, Does character development fly out of your dictionary when you think of the female lead, If you can't accept a flawed female character that gets character development, there are other dramas to watch.

Thirdly, I'm happy she confessed instead getting exposed cause it shows her inner conflictions with the whole scam. I can't wait to see how the romance develops form here because in my opinion, they may have an attraction to eachother but they aren't properly in love.

Fourthly, Bok Ina is my second favorite character. she's so cute and I love her relationship with Da hee. Da hee trying to telepathically speak to her took me out. I also understand Bok Ina's attitude towards her dad, If I was neglected for years, I would behave the same way. No one apart from her grandpa puts in the effort for her.

Love the morally grey female lead, I don't care what anyone says. I'm happy to have such an entertaining character. I like how when she flirts with the ML, it carries a teasing undertone knowing she isn't being serious, it also makes her seem delulu which is so fun to watch.

The ML trying to stay unbothered by the kiss but even his powers are reflecting his true feelings.

lastly, Do da hee's finally scene and backstory really packed a punch. Her acting was really good and I felt so anxious for her in the past and my heart broke for her in the present.

Can't wait for tomorrow's episode

Started watching lost you forever and I'm currently at episode 9. For second, why was I really rooting for Cang Xuan's demise at the hands of Xiang Liu and I almost got my wish until that stupid fur tail had to fall out of his pockets for Xiaoyao to see.

*Sigh*, This girl keeps suffering on account of other people especially these three MLs. Like babe, you barely just recovered and now you are getting injured for Cang Xuan again.

I was getting so tired of cliche dramas and this drama fell into my lap. I can understand why people don't like the FL, infact I can count the amount of likable characters in this drama on one hand but I loved it.

The female Lead is self-serving, determined and resourceful and morally grey. I loved that for her and I want to see more of these types of female leads. I did end of sympathizing with her because the fortune writer is a big asshole.

Why people complaining Lusi act as cheerful and naughty brat? She still young and it suit her well.
exactly plus she's going to become the phoenix queen and we'll see a more mature side of her. I feel like people don't even wait to see developments

I wanted to watch MJTY, but after hearing it did ZLH so dirty, I’m like I’ll wait for SOKP lol. And for sure,…
You heard more about the second leads because they excelled in their roles and captured the audience, not because they had more screen time. obviously companies would want to capitalize on the chemistry and attention they were getting for the netizens and audiences.

The screen time was fair and the main leads had far more screentime. it's just the story involves all characters so the secondary characters are developed unlike some other cdramas that have 2D characters except the leads.

I beg to differ about the MLs character being bland, I am not sure if we were watching the same drama. But you…
Yes we were watching the same drama but people have different interpretation of character.

Zhang Ling he failed to make me love a character I believe I would have loved ordinarily if well acted and built up. He lacked the charisma and intrigue that other secondary characters managed to bring out.

This is my judgement and I didn't say it was a fact, it is an opinion which you said I am entitled to.

I hope to see him do better in story of kunning palace.

I watched this drama because of Him and Esther and left with utter admiration for the second leads instead who I don't know from elsewhere. I guess I had high expectations for them and I was left a bit disappointed

Actually, the second lead actors are just more charismatic and better at acting.

All four leads well expect Gong Ziyu have characters that don't require many facial expressions; Yun weishan, Gong Shangjue and Shangguan Qian are all emotionally bottled up, so the only way we could try to ascertain what they were thinking was their eyes.

Now, my problem is I understand Yun weishan's character but I couldn't feel all these emotions and conflictions from her eyes. For Esther Yu to express them, she had to use more than her eyes.

This is opposed to Cheng Lei and Lu Yu Xiao who both had really expressive and intriguing eye acting.

For the male lead, I don't know if his character was just bland or he was just not charismatic enough for a main rule
