Lu yuxiao is actually so so pretty. I keep on going back to watch edits of her character in the drama.

She's also a good spy considering we couldn't tell her lies from truth, and we couldn't tell when she was really sincere. She's so ambiguous and I feel like it added to the thrill of her character.

I like not knowing whether she loved GSJ or not even though I feel she did because she kept wavering as we see in the the flashbacks of her saying she will never fall in love with her target.

Now we can't even trust if she's pregnant or not but I do think she's pregnant.

Overall, I like and enjoyed her charcacter a lot. She really brought the assassin/spy esque to the drama that I couldn't get from the FL. And I don't mind that she chose herself and her revenge ultimately because what has the Wufeng or Gong family done for her.

Plus since GSJ can leave the valley unlike GZY, I feel like GSJ and GSQ have to chance to meet again.

GSJ definitely loved GSQ but neither of them were sure of the other's feeling.

In general, they still had my more screentime. stop whining, it was just one episode where the second leads happened to have something important to resolve

regardless, I believe GSJ would have let her go with or without the baby. he didn't want to harm her and he already got the infinite heat

plus, her pregnancy might actually be true

So who's in charge of writing that SGQ and GSJ fanfic just in case we aren't getting season 2?😪

I do feel bad for Zishang and JinFan, I really do but that fight sequence between JinFan and Shangguan Qian was fantastic. The maneuvering of the box and using it to distract Jin Fan, My girl ate. I also didn't expect her skills match up to JinFan (a red Jade) unless she already had the flower and the box was empty .

Can I just say the Wufeng Wangs are all so cool, I know you must think I'm crazy but their skills are 🤌 especially Ziyi.

Xue Chongzi was amazing as well, like they had the second coolest fight sequence in this episode.

my heart was and is still seriously beating for Gong Shangjue and Gong Yuizhi. I hope nothing happens to them.

I didn't know Shangguan Qian was so hardened but a girl wants what a girl wants, she's low-key nope high key so cool and efficient.

Now I need that novel published and translated, I love going back to the novels cdramas were adapted from.

Personally, I fell in love with GSJ backstory and could empathize with him and understand how what happened to him in childhood lead him to bear the weight the Gong's family safety and reputation on his shoulders. He's just so admirable and intelligent and devoted to people he loves (not irrationally)

Trust I will now be looking out for Ryan Cheng, Lu yuxiao and Tian Jiaru's next dramas. I am begging someone to cast Lu yuxiao and Ryan Cheng in a drama together, this chemistry cannot be wasted 🤲🤲

I'm so glad elder yue confirmed my thoughts on Gong shang jue.

Maybe GSJ wanted to be the sword wielder at some point but I feel he is ultimately comfortable with him not being the one in that position if the person is capable and worthy enough to protect and lead the gong family.

Anyone could clearly see that GZY wasn't ready at first hence GSJ insistence on him passing the trials which would ultimately help him GZY become a better and more capable leader.

And notice that whenever, GYZ intends to speak I'll of GZY he never joins him or encourages him and sometimes even berates him.

GSJ priority is his family first and foremost. Seeing as he failed to protect his loved ones from wufeng, his ruthlessness and motivation doubled.

In the last discussion thread: People called him bias and foolish for believing Shangguan Qian story forgetting that he already theorized that Lady Wuji stabbed herself to avoid suspicion and Shangguan not only confirmed that theory but provided proof of her gushan heritage (The birthmark). So was it really so far fetched to believe her.

And today we see the confirmation that that was what indeed happened in the room.

GZY doesn't think at all and blindly defends people.

This episode made me realize I am rooting for the girls more than anything. I was so stressed for Shangguan Qian.

It also made me realize we don't know anything about Shangguan and her background story. she might actually be a gushan member. I feel with YWS, I'm able to filter out her truth from lies especially since she uses metaphors.

Sometimes shangguan is blatantly lying but sometimes she goes deeper talking in metaphors and I can't help but wonder if she's actually experienced this.

Also, GSJ and SGQ chemistry is so good like you can't tell me I was seeing chemistry in that torture scene. Please send help

I am a bit behind so I just finished episode 13 and would still like to share my thoughts.

can we appreciate Gong shang jue's reflexes (asides from him injuring my poor GYZ). His reflex and aim was so on point but I feel like he shouldn't have aimed for a life meridian point. Like even if it was an assassin, wouldn't he want to keep him alive but incapacitated for investigation.

I'm actually scared for Shangguan Qian, I like her a lot so they last few minutes left my heart pounding.

people seem to think GZY is just pretending to be dull and secretly has the upper hand. I don't I fully believe his character is a bit dumb and lovesick and is not pretending but might have character development (I beg of the writers)

Any scene with GSJ and SGQ gets my blood pumping.

I actually shed a few drops of tears for the Gong brothers story. it was so touching. GYZ is misunderstood

I low-key feel bad for Gong Shangjue and was even rooting for him a little if I am being honest. He doesn't have bad intentions at all, he wants the best for the Gong family. Frankly, Gong Ziyu doesn't seem very capable at all intelligence wise, strength wise and more, He is easily emotionally manipulated by the people around him and is quite impulsive. He couldn't even complete the first trial without Yun weishan's intelligence.

If we are applying this in real life, Gong shangjue is more suited to lead than Gong Ziyu. Nevertheless, it's a drama and despite all they are trying to do to make me root for the male lead, I really can't because he's just there and the people around him are just more intriguing
