WOW!!! Absolutely great analysis of CLS and HF. I haven't thought about that. So in actuality it was CLS all along who is HF's true love. I also choose to believe he accepted CLS as his lover. Very heartbreaking that she dies but also reassuring that HF loves her.

I'm going to watch Handsome Siblings. I'm now a huge fan of Jie Liang aka our loveable Ziyi actress. Maybe the fanfiction possibility is that she learns to accept who she is, changes her name, moves on from Hu Fei and falls in love with another person. There! I solved the sad ending for her >:(

Actually I think Ziyi and Hu Fei were meant for each other its just Ziyi was scared of her karma after seeing Hu Fei on the verge of death. All it took was manipulation from her "master" and she changed.

One of the big take aways from this amazing story is never be afraid of accepting who you are. By doing that only then can you make/improve yourself and follow your heart without regrets. Ziyi unfortunately should've accepted that nothing would change as she is the illegitimate daughter of the corrupt governor. Being a nun or not will not that change that fact so it is best to do things that would produce a new positive karma instead of being passive and let what fate has in store.

Oh for sure! And yes she's definitely regretting it. You can see how she's so unsure of her decisions since she tried to distance herself from Hu Fei. Like u said people can become either monks or nuns for good reason but it should not be because its to get away from your troubles. You can follow the Buddhist scriptures, accept who u are, and be at peace with oneself. In a way it's interesting to see how Ziyi was the complete opposite of what the Buddhist scriptures stress. She's unsure, not at peace with herself, and still full of desires. So in a sense she was a hypocrite as a nun but that's what makes this show so good. Its the story of unrequited love, redemption, and regret.

I honestly think she's underrated in the wuxia genre. Often we hear certain actors/actresses brought up for constantly doing one type of genre. Xing Fei is in my top 5 favorite Cdrama actresses of all time. She's pretty, really talented and plays her parts real well

You can tell from her facial expressions that Ziyi was very conflicted. I say screw it. You love Hu Fei so much. Just leave the sect with your second sister. The worst case scenario is that her master would forbid it and try to fight you. There's a chance u can win and really disband the sect. UGH so heartbreaking...

She definitely chose a different path. It can be understood that she hates herself because she is the illigimate daughter to that horrible man. She loved Hu Fei so much but ultimately gave in to her sect. It's so sad Ziyi deserves so much more

99% of the time the sects that proclaim themselves as the most righteous is actually not so righteous but the complete opposite or say things like "this is what our master would want." If you're a disciple RUN as fast as you can from these sects. I mean run like HELL loool

Wished Ziyi took the Zhao Min route... literally Zhao Min from Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre was like "screw the sects and screw all these restrictions I love Wuji and that's all that matters." She came to accept the consequences and used her love for the heroine to make herself better. Eventually outshine all her other "competitors" fighting for Wuji's love. Ziyi should've done the same. Throughout this show Ziyi was very indecisive, constantly could not make up her mind on what she wants. Because of that her sect and master were able to fully take hold and destroyed her love for Hu Fei. Just writing this makes me tear up.. I'm about to start Handsome Siblings 2021 with same actress. Maybe I can come up with some fan fiction about how Ziyi leaves her sect, changes her name, forgets Hu fei and falls in love with another heroine 😆

If watching Wuxia shows has taught me anything is that 99% of the time sects (no matter how good and righteous they proclaim themselves to be) always have some sort of ulterior motive. As a result, they become selfish and only work to serve their self interest. Their disciples are just a means to an end. It also important to note that these sects are not dumb in any way shape or form. Like you mentioned, Ziyi's master knows that she loves Hu Fei, but to further her self interest she is willing to use Buddhist teachings and scriptures (of all things -.- ) to sow distrust in order for her to question her love for Hu Fei. She held no regard for how Ziyi feels. The only way for Ziyi to break from this cycle is to actually BREAK from the sect entirely. However, its not so easy thats why many heroines in many Wuxia dramas with sects end up succumbing to the pressure and either turn corrupted or follow their selfish masters. Ziyi deserves better will miss her for sure.

Man... talk about bad misfortune for both Ziyi and Hu Fei. You can tell Ziyi wants to tell him early on but held on hope that maybe their love can follow through. I will miss Ziyi she deserves so much better than getting stuck in her very "questionable" sect. She is exactly the same as Zhirou from Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre 😞

I don't think MRF is going to give her the chance to be around Ruolan. Hes gone through way too much to associate himself around NanLan. Whether or not she wants to be around is no longer an option once he had his heart broken.

I agree. Too bad it's way to late for that. MRF had his heart broken by her so I don't he will forgive.

After watching the latest episode, I'm glad Nan Lan is looking like she's questioning her entire existence after learning the truth. The truth that her "husband" never cared about her, his motive was purely out of jealousy and hate, killed Hu Fei's parents who are MRF's best friends, and will never leave the martial world. She's probably thinking "why did i leave MRF for this guy who is arguably worse ineveryday, who is pretty much like MRF except theres strings attached, maybe I should've placed my trusted in MRF."

She's almost a mirror image of Zhirou from Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre. Both loved the heroine but their sects destroyed their love.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt CLS say that living in the Poison Valley she would be able to live without any complications due to the environment similar to the pill? That means she can't die and can live until shes old. But I'm not too sure I need to replay that part again :(
