CGH is really getting on my nerves, he first blames a child for the death of his aunt as if that isn't his mom…
In his defense, he was a little child too, so easy to manipulate. I'm sure he was fed lies throughout his life to antagonise ML. But yes, he is the kind of character who can grate on people's nerves with his righteousness that doesn't really show in everything he does (as you pointed out)

I don't know where the logic of FL comes from? She sees every of ML's battles and actions as evil. Normally if…
She read the script (or at least skimmed through it) and immediately disliked the ml and his actions. So, when she finds herself inside the story, she’s already carrying a bias: she “knows” who he is based on the version she read. That prejudice shapes everything, she doesn’t see him as a real person with nuance, but as a character she’s already judged. And to make things worse, the actor playing the ml in the original story shares the same face as him in this world, which only deepens her aversion. but she is starting slowly to see that the world of the novel is not completely as she thought it was

Holy smokes is this the first underwater rescue without a kiss?? I love it!! 🥰
I almost cried from shock and surprise when it happened 🤣 or, better wording: when it didn't happen

So they didn't? Oo noo
It wasn't the characters' fault the writer forced them into the trope 😅🥲 it wasn't willingly done so we need to forgive 🤣

is there any another drama of LY despite PB that have happy ending ? can someone recommend any ??
I guess The Long Ballad, where he is not a ml but has his own story arc and love interest

I don’t have an issue with characters being virgins or experiencing their first relationship in their 30s especially…
My comment wasn’t about cultural values, what I was talking about is the way the writing portrays their behaviour. At times, it feels overly childish or emotionally underdeveloped in a way that clashes with the serious themes of the show. That’s a narrative critique, not a cultural one and definitely not a call for the characters to be more sexually active 😅

This one might have more love scenes
…or when the ML’s becomes a simpleton so he can become a full time FL hype man with the personality of unsalted rice

I am enjoying this drama but the overly loud BGM is nothing short of obnoxious.
I think, at this point, if it is not overly loud, it is not a c-drama 😅🥲

This drama going good but don't know if it truns out sad endingAfter feud this drama blend my sorrow. Hope it…
I imagine it will be something along the lines of the ending of The Romance of Tiger and Rose

I confess I haven’t really liked most of LXY’s dramas (except Blood of Youth) not because he’s bad or anything, they just weren’t my cup of tea. But credit where it’s due: the man has perfected the unhinged psycho smile. It's weirdly hot 😆😅

Annoying jealous 2FL? ❌Rage-inducing little sister of ML? 💯💯💯Gosh she’s so annoying why does she…
I'm a few episodes behind, so my point of view is until episode 6. I personally don’t mind annoying or immature side characters, but I do take issue when they break the internal logic of another character’s role. If someone is portrayed as a brilliant strategist (calculating, manipulative, always five steps ahead)it’s hard to believe he’d let his sister act so recklessly and without restraint. Even if he genuinely cares for her, someone that methodical would keep a wildcard like her at bay, both for the sake of his own plans and for her safety 🤷🏼‍♀️

She has no fighting skills so they compensate it with this superpower.
They should’ve incorporated more wuxia style martial arts or at least some slightly enhanced abilities across the board then her photographic memory wouldn’t feel so out of place. ps. She doesn’t fight, but she’s sharp, resourceful, and definitely a few steps ahead of the ML (at least up to ep 6, yes, I’m behind 😅)
On The Princess's Gambit Jun 28, 2025
Am I the only one who cringes at her photographic memory + perfect artist hands combo? like she saw something once and recreated it in full detail like a scanner. Real eidetic memory is super rare, and even then it doesn’t come with builtin Photoshop skills 😂 It just feels like a lazy plot shortcut. I know dramas bend reality all the time and I'm being weird to pointing out this thing in particular but I can't help it 🤣🤣🤣

I hope and pray for the day two attractive 30 year olds aren't portrayed as meek virgins. Like.. cmon.. would…
I don’t have an issue with characters being virgins or experiencing their first relationship in their 30s especially if it’s due to past trauma that stunted their emotional growth. But let’s be real, the behaviour here feels more like elementary school than adult awkwardness. That’s fine in a romcom, but this show is tackling serious themes, and it just breaks the immersion for me. That said, I get that a lot of people enjoy this kind of romantic portrayal in K-dramas, so I guess it all comes down to personal taste

Title Reborn
I'm only at episode 6, but it’s already suffocating to watch the level of emotional damage the mother is inflicting. What makes it worse is that she’s not acting out of hatred she thinks she’s loving them. But love that controls, invalidates, and projects your own fears onto your children isn’t love. It’s emotional colonisation. And the father his silence, his refusal to intervene that’s a wound of its own kind. Sometimes the parent who watches it all unfold and does nothing is more damaging than the one actively causing harm. What haunts me most, though, is the sister. She’s already gone, and I don’t even need the full story to feel the weight of it. You can see it in the way no one speaks of her properly, in the coldness that hangs over the family like a fog. That girl didn’t just slip through the cracks she was pushed. Starved for affection, invisible to her own family. Whatever happened, I can already tell it wasn’t just tragic. It was preventable

Now MS should treat his father well. He should accept his mistake where he was hating his father for misunderstanding…
I'm only at ep 6, but remember people often end up resenting the one who stayed, simply because they were there. It’s easier to blame someone present than to face the pain caused by someone who left. The parent who stays becomes the easiest target for all the confusion, disappointment, and anger. In MS’s case, his father became the face of the hurt, while the mother, who made the choice to leave, escaped most of the blame. It takes a lot of clarity to realise who truly caused the wound and who was just left trying to hold things together

He tried to ascend a hundred years ago… so yeah, unfortunately, he’s way older than that like, ancient ancient…
I don't feel I would have been able to binge-watch it I was just watching as it was airing

I am sucker for mythical creature drama but this is the weirdest one. For Imugi/deity, ML is the slowest one,…
He tried to ascend a hundred years ago… so yeah, unfortunately, he’s way older than that like, ancient ancient 😅. But since the drama is basically a light fantasy romcom wrapped in a historical setting, I think the only way to truly enjoy it is to let go of logic, lore, and world-building entirely. I mean, I was doing the same asking myself question after question, trying to make sense of it all until I realised I should probably give it the same amount of thought the writers gave it: superficial at best. 😄 That said, my favourite characters were definitely the King and the Imugi before he became human. I liked the female lead too, but I do feel like they could’ve done a lot more with her character and her powers. She had so much potential, and they just... barely scratched the surface. overall it was a cute watch but don't think i would ever rewatch it again 🫣

Title The Haunted Palace Spoiler
i stopped this show at ep 3 i think..can someone plz spoil following1. FL falls in love with whom? The original…
1. She had feelings for her original childhood friend, as he was the first person to treat her nicely in the village, but she falls in love with the imugi.
2. The original friend is dead, but his soul is trapped. At some point, he will return so he can move on (as he is dead and cannot come back to life).
3. There is one episode to the end, but it seems he will probably stay.
5. He is the main villain from the spirit side, but he has a reason for hating the royal family.
6. Nothing surprising happens, at least not for me. Mostly, it is a very linear storyline, and if they make the imugi ascend at the end, that would be the most interesting thing for me.

It is a cute story, but I wish it were more serious at beginning
