In the novel, ML manages to achieve all his goals, but he dies at the end. FL is with his child but is happy and free. 2ML gets what he wanted too, except for the girl. But the novel and drama differ in many things, so you never know what you will get in the end. It can be better or even worse. 😅🤣

If the view of the bridge from the house is that clear and good, how come no one has ever discovered it? I mean, there are soldiers patrolling the area. Okay, they are brainless, but the young guy is even more brain-dead. There are literally maybe two neurons in his brain struggling to survive 😳 ps. And who left HIM at the watchtower? I'm guessing somebody who hate Yueluo

I watched it a few times and thought my brain wasn't computing 😅🤣

And all this begs the question: how on earth is he still alive? 🤣 He must be blessed by the goddess of fortune.

All this and her prediction isn't even that accurate if the ending is the same as the novel. They win and they lose; it's a bittersweet future. Her prediction was more on the positive side 😅😅😅

Hoping they will come back to their senses in the next episodes, as I really want to enjoy this arc.

Anything would have been better than what they did. The whole backstory of him saving the guy in the past and them meeting by chance, only for the guy to recognise him (as well how dod he even recognise him)... Why was all that necessary? WZ could have just saved him from the soldiers near the bridge in the present and introduced the character that way, becoming his benefactor right then and there 🤷🏼‍♀️ all this complications to write something full of holes and no logical sense, just why???? 🥲

I suppose they wanted to show us (and WZ) how resourceful she is without resorting to violence, but they couldn't think of anything that made more sense. 😅 For me, it was the arrow scene after they crossed the bridge... like... why? I watched it few times and still cant figure out why that scene happened

Did anyone else get confused by the bridge scene when they crossed and met the young guy?

It felt so choppy and didn’t make much sense. Same with the soldiers and the trap involving the young guy… Was that supposed to show how he’s trying to protect his people? Because with the way he was acting, I’m wondering how he even survived before meeting the leads 🤔

I still need to finish it. I have put it on hold 😅 it is just too silly for something that is not really comedy. But I guess in general they tone down novels for the show version because that way they can reach a wider audience and make more money

Someone said PY is dumbed down to make the ML shine, but honestly, none of the characters are made to be too clever. They all make occasional stupid mistakes to simplify the plot and keep it moving. At times, their decisions feel out of character, but at least it's not something they do to just one character, so it’s fine. Until the overall plot makes sense, we can survive with some weird decisions characters make. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because the show is toned down, and they don’t want it to be too complicate, because they think the audience isn’t clever enough to follow the story, they are offending all of us 🤣🤣🤣

It depends on what you mean by feelings. They do seem attracted to each other in one way or another. Affection and love are not really there at that point. It is like some kind of beginning of something.

Because she's the type of person who can't just stand by when something is wrong; she always wants to help and feels the need to support others

Sssshhh, don't say it out loud! There are still so many episodes left; they could still do something stupid 😅. A lot of people seem to complain that PY in the drama isn’t clever enough, but let’s be real, everyone was toned down, even the male lead. He used the same arrows as when he was an assassin, without even retrieving them. So, I think it's all good. They all share clever and stupid moments

I mean, some novels had a happy ending, and they managed to change them to open-ended or bittersweet endings, so anything is possible at this point. Unfortunately, they just prefer anything other than a happy ending or a properly wrapped-up ending that makes sense 😅😅😅 so one day of they change a SE to a HE i think it will be truely a miracle 🤣🤣🤣🤣

As a viewer, you can see his attraction to her growing, and he himself is baffled by it but still doesn't fully understand it. As of episode 20, he still doesn't have real feelings for her, or at least not enough for himself to realise it or for us to say that he is in love. He is on his way, but not there yet. As for her, she weirdly doesn't have any hard feelings for him, even though he tried to kill her and hurt her multiple times. She is able to compartmentalise that between the him she didn't know and who was her enemy and him after they started to be friendly (and understood his point of view and motives). I'm not sure if any human is able to be that rational, but if she is, I'm okay with that 😉 I just enjoy slow burns 🤣

I came here just to write the same thing after watching the last episode 🤣 It was really unnecessary to make him fall for her. He would have been such an interesting character without any strings attached. This need writers have for multiple men to be in love with the FL is so annoying. I didn't read the novel either, but from all the spoilers, I feel he would have benefited from not being in love with her even in the novel (as they say he was in love with her in the novel. In the drama, I see no love, just obsession). Although the drama is promoted as a love triangle, luckily it is not because PY is like that third wheel just put there for drama and definitely doesn't help his character development to be a plot device. Love triangles, quadrangles, pentagons, hexagons, heptagons, octagons, and all other geometric shapes are something I REALLY hate 😅
