It seems to me that he must have memories of his first life, but i can't understand what his ultimate goal is, who he really wants on the throne. Because he already knows how it went when the other prince rebelled, I just wish they will not transform him into a one-dimensional villain obsessed with the FL. I don't mind him being a morally ambiguous character who is doing whatever he thinks should be done to bring peace to the kingdom. I don't really know; it can go either way with him. I think he embodies a blend of the novel's character and a new persona created for the drama. But i actually don't know what his character is in the novel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I read that it has a happy ending for the leads, with kids, etc. But who knows? Look at that nonsensical ending The Double had. Hope this director will not be like the others and will start a new trend of good endings that makes you feel satisfied

And that is i think all that happens

I also think he is playing the long game, and he, like the FL, remembers their past life. So I hope they will not ruin his character, as he is interesting and not too annoying (for now), even if he has some feelings for her. (as I really hate multiple men obsessing over the FL in cdramas.) Didn't read the novel, but anyway, they always change from the source material, so for now, I don't even want to know what happens in the novel. I always get disappointed if I like something in the novel and then it doesn't happen in the drama, or when I hate something in the novel and it doesn't change for the drama🤣🤣🤣
