Why did the author think it was romantic for Yuwen to call her Xing'er AFTER she was free again? I mean, she was renamed when she became his property, when he decided to train her and make her a spy. Once she's free and remembers her real name, he keeps calling her the slave name he gave her because it makes him feel like he still owns her, she's his, he loves her, that is their connection, blah blah. I really don't get how that's romantic. It wasn't some cute nickname only he used between them, it was the slave name he forced on her and keeps forcing on her later. But it's so funny and romantic 😭 I know it is fiction, but these kinds of tropes irk me

I am rewatching it because of Rebirth, and I just can't believe how many things I literally hate in this drama 😅 I don't know if it is because on a second watch I am dissecting it more, or simply I forgot about the many things that got on my nerves

It is never sure in cdramaland. There are many novels with HE, and the drama version gets an SE or an OE for reasons beyond my comprehension. I am always scared 😱 😨 😫

When they announced season 2, I already knew it would be 💩, as the first season had a complete story that didn't need any add ons. But me being me, I was still curious if perhaps I was mistaken and reading your review puts my heart at ease. I can delete this from my "maybe one day if desperate enough" watchlist. Thank you 😘

I just want this Void arc to finish soon. I thought it would be more interesting, but I'm finding the ML's simping a bit over the top for my liking. And then you have the Right Hand as an extra to give me more grief. On the positive side, I do like Dilraba's costumes in this arc

I am bored of the usual trope of the guy next to any FL beinf in love/obsessing over her or being psycho. Can we sometimes have a normal friend with no interest in the FL except for friendship, and not the usual backstabbing piece of 💩?

I miss the VR game setting. It was interesting, and I feel that for how much was on promo posters and trailers, it should be more integrated into the main storyline. I started ep7, and I guess the guy from the rival company is the 2ML, so unnecessary 🥲

If you’ve got a bit of time, try watching the first three episodes. You’ll know pretty quickly whether it’s your cup of tea or not. Personally, I don’t like it too much but i am still watching it. Some people really enjoy it, others can’t stand it, so honestly you won’t know until you give it a go 😉

ML is absolutely the real prince. Let’s be honest, it would have been a brilliant twist if he wasn't, but this drama isn’t exactly aiming for mindbending surprises. It’s pretty simple and leans heavily into classic tropes. All the signs are right there: the fake prince’s reactions, the whole “don’t you remember?” moment, and even his reactions on the father decisions (him being hurt for being basically discarted for the prince). The second they introduced the lost prince storyline, it was clear the ML had to be him

Megumi, we’ve been over this… the answer is death, it’s always death. Only by dying 😅. And anyway, he’s so utterly obsessed with TLC that the only redemption arc he could ever have is being forgiven for his evil deeds by TLC (as he draws his last breath) 😅
