Yes, I always wanted something like this. With a slow burn, you don’t get all those boring tropes used to keep the two lovers apart to add drama: like star-crossed lovers because of some dispute between their parents, amnesia, illness, misunderstandings, self-sacrifice... I’m getting annoyed just writing it.

I'm sure she will come up with a plan soon enough, as she once said, sometimes you need to retreat to advance. Her priority was to keep her brother alive (it was a matter of seconds to decide based on the trailer), so she had to act that way at the moment, but I'm sure she will overcome the problem. The princess has power, but she is foolish and unhinged, she is nowhere match for JL/XFF 🤭

I think that if he can, he will try not to sacrifice anyone, but he knows that some will die (like soldiers on the battlefield, for example). He doesn't want Duke Su to become some kind of emotional liability if he gets too involved with her. I think Duke Su would have had the same expectations for the emperor if he were getting involved with someone who might jeopardize what they are doing. Definitely, if an unfortunate situation arises, the emperor might consider sacrificing JL, but Duke Su would not. Anyway, I hope they will stay strong and not fall apart by having a plan B and pretending they are falling apart because of JL. At this point, both the princess and the wife killer know they are working together.

Me too. She was a very disappointing character, and right now she just grates on my nerves. Even in the promos about her seemingly having the upper hand on JL, I'm not even worried, as she is not even close to JL's intelligence. The only thing she had was the element of surprise, but I'm sure once JL has time to regroup and think, she will outsmart her straight away.

Our life was ruined by a corrupt official. Let me become worse than he is and ruin other people's lives. The logic... I really didn't know I could hate him more, but thanks to that past and him saying he loved his wife, he topped the charts of my hatred. Kudos to the actor; he portrays him amazingly.

I wish someone would throw a vase at the princess's head every time she starts dancing or spinning like an idiot (like in the last promo 😅).

The trailers are always structured to tell a story in a different way than how it will unfold in the episode. So, we just need to wait and see

I like that even if he cares for her and tells her that something she is doing is too dangerous, etc., he still respects her when she tells him that she is still doing it. He is not (so far) one of those male leads who bypasses her wants and decisions by making his own for her

Duke Su is such a great guy for giving her that advice at the end of the episode. It was exactly what she needed to hear. Remember how she gave up everything for her ex-husband? She suppressed her own identity and desires, consistently failing to be true to herself.

"I have a piece of advice for you. In the previous life and the current, live to the fullest. Never compromise yourself to become someone else just to please others, including me."

Yeah, I can't see it happening either. It would be too out of place

At first, I wasn't very sure about what was best for her, but after watching so far, it wouldn't make any sense for her to return to her former XFF identity after everything she's accomplished as JL. A lot of things would be nullified if she was revealed to be somebody else entirely.
