The more I watch, the more I realise he wasn't really forced. He killed her because he didn't need her anymore and used the princess as his excuse. If he wanted her alive, he could have done many things to keep her alive somewhere far away from the capital or faked her death. He is a sleazy coward.

She will likely return at some point if there are going to be battles, etc. As for him, he really needs to move on, as the story does not need this kind of plotless plot. And since the character is considered one of the leads, he needs a better role in the story. I wish he would find a love of his own, but I don't think it will happen. I think they might continue with his unrequited love for her until the end.

The princess was a bit disappointing in the last few episodes as the villain. I thought she would be more scheming and evil, but after the identity accusation for no gain whatsoever, I realised she is only an idiot. Still can't wait for her to die because she is just a waste of space and minutes. But the ex-husband, that's the one I want to see the most.

I hate it when the weekend comes and we only have one episode per day, when people normally have the most free time to watch on weekends 🥲

He is the most important man in the family; nothing else matters to them. Feel sorry for his deceased wife, who seems to have married for love. What did she get? Him not even getting a concubine pregnant but a random maid 😅

He seems like the kind of man who would gladly sacrifice family members for the family legacy and name. And that is basically what he is doing anyway, only caring for JL when she brings honour to the family. I'm sure he would turn his back on his third wife if she brings dishonour. For now, she still seems his perfect wife, so he dotes on her

I believe she may still be alive, as they seem to often leave loose ends in the story that would have been resolved in real life, but not here, so the leads can solve things more quickly 😅

Yes, they had to write it so XFF could become JL without the transmigration part from the novel because even people who loved her never came to visit. Grandma was sending money but never made sure in person if she was okay. It just doesn't really make logical sense if it wasn't just a plot device for the identity part

But not really, since the premise was the cheating part. She was found with a naked man sleeping in her bed. Nothing was said about talking with men, especially at school, as it was decreed by the emperor to unite the two schools, so interactions there were seen as normal. As for the night at the duke's, we don't know how she left home. Did Tong cover for her, or did her father never care to check on her, since he wasn't coming to her quarters in the first place? I feel there are other plot holes in the story, but this one is not really one. However, the sleeping at the duke's part wasn't really taken into much consideration in the story, and I feel it could have been done better.

I wish he didn't have a crush on her; it is just so unnecessary. He should have had a purpose of his own in the story instead of some kind of puppy love 🥲

They like each other without explicitly saying so. They do flirt and stare. I don’t think they will get together before the revenge is complete or something bigger happens when they let down their guard and act on their feelings 🙄

The leads have incredible chemistry that radiates through every scene. Their witty banter is sharp and engaging, and their intense stares speak volumes without a single word said. The flirting is so interesting, especially when JL compliments him. Everything is so perfectly orchestrated that I'm worried my high expectations might lead to disappointment when they finally take the next step 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Curiosity, why is King Chen or Cheng (I don't remember the name) not on the throne, being older than the current Emperor? Since he, the Emperor, and the Princess are siblings, is he perhaps a son of a concubine or something like that? I know they said in one episode why he was exiled, but I don't remember. Does anyone remember? 😅 normally I always remember details when I watch but not this time

I like the pacing of the story; there's never a dull moment, but I wish they limited the number of twists and turns/problems and concentrated more on the quality of them, making them more challenging. I noticed as well that the villainous characters are making so many errors just so these problems would resolve the current situation. Even the stepmother's past reemerged just like that to corner her eventually so JL could win. I'm sure if they gave it enough thought, JL could have outsmarted her without making her opponent appear more stupid. But let's see how this will go down in the next few episodes
