I'm watching random TikToks with the leads. 😅

For some reason, I enjoy that the story takes place in some random parallel universe and not in a real dynasty. They take elements from different times, including modern times, for costumes and makeup. I like that they aren't bound to a specific historical time, so they don't need to try to mimic real history in terms of what happens with the emperor, court, etc. There is so much freedom to do anything

Can be interpreted in different ways, but I'm sure if the character could talk, she would say she was neither 🤣

There is one thing I wish they had added to the story about XF. She is very intelligent and knowledgeable in so many different areas. They showed us how she loved playing the qin and caring for people, how devoted she was as a wife, but they never really showed how she accumulated so much information about so many different things. It seems she married young and was married for at least a couple of years. She lived somewhere remote near Luoyang. When did she learn so many things and how? I wish they did a one-minute scene with her learning in her free time, perhaps at night when she didn’t need to care about the household or something. Or that she had some life experiences where she could have learned things outside of being the young lady who plays the qin and wants to be a good wife. I don’t know, I feel it just misses this little something so far 🤔 I really like her character, but I wish they would add something about her outside of who she was as a daughter and a wife. For Duke Su, I can use my imagination on how he came to be who he is; he even does it as a job so he could enhance his skills. As XL/JL is the main character though, I wish to have some more info about who she is; it would be a cherry on the cake 😉 Perhaps they will add it later on🤞

She was bothered, but I don't think she has real feelings for him yet. There's definitely some interest and attraction, but she's not completely aware of it because she's so focused on getting justice for herself and the real JL. At the beginning, I thought she was just surprised to see him there, but when she passed Tong, I knew she was bothered 😅

That's why a slow burn is so much better 😉 especially when they have great chemistry.

Shhh, let's not speculate on our good luck today and hope these things will happen again 🤣

She is drawn to him, but she may not be conscious of her feelings. Also, she is focused on revenge and obtaining justice for herself and the real JL. Even if she were to realise her potential future feelings for him, I believe she would hesitate to pursue them due to her past experiences of being used and betrayed by a man she loved and trusted. But because she is unaware of her attraction, she is getting closer to him slowly and unintentionally. I think in general both of them think they are in control of whatever is going on between them

People shouldn't engage with them at all. Just ignore them and let their comments sink to the bottom of the comment section, never to be seen again.

He is using the princess as his excuse for his actions. Imagine the mental gymnastics required to behave the way he did toward his wife and kill someone he holds dear. What kind of human being would think that was the right thing to do in that situation? If he thought he had no way out (running away, hiding, or anything else), why didn't he just kill the princess or himself? He is a disgusting, selfish coward, and the actor portrays him very well!

Poor him, he gets punished even when he does his work, like spying on her 😅

Yeah, I hope she will stay as Jiang Li as well, as returning to be her old self wouldn't make sense storywise. But who knows what they are going to do in the drama 🙄

I was laughing so hard when, after so many overdramatic jumps from the balcony in one scene, the guard fell into a wooden bucket 🤣🤣🤣

She was such a product of her era, the typical woman who only lives for her husband at the expense of everything else. She literally forsook all of her intelligence and talents for this love; she was there to give her all only for his ambition and his family. And while it is beautiful to love another person and care for them, you can't live their lives and be there on standby until they come back to you. And in the end, after she literally sacrificed everything she had for him, he killed her. I hope she will have a proper revenge and then be free and happy with somebody who can love her for real. Whatever the princess was doing to him, he could have taken her and his family and left the capital to live somewhere far away but alive. The cowardly him decided her life was worth sacrificing, and who knows how many excuses he has for himself to play the victim. He is more disgusting than the princess because he was her husband. 🤮

Yes, I see it now. I couldn’t see the discussion section on the app, so I had to go on the browser. Ps. As for the emperor, if he is not horrible, he might forgive her, given her circumstances. Or, if she is in some powerful position at the end of the drama. 😉 Who knows, I am just wondering if she will ever return to her real identity.

I don't care too much about comparing, only when the adaptation is done terribly. 🤣 There were a couple of dramas that I liked more than their paper counterparts. Normally, I don't read at the same time when I watch, but I might if I can't wait. 🤪

It is very good, and they do make it lighter in a few episodes with a bit of humour, etc. So it is not always dramatically sad like at the beginning when it went full blast with angst.

I'm concerned for the mental state of these people... when you think they are so passionate about things like this, it is a bit disturbing to say the least 😱 like... where do you find the time to complain so much about a drama you dont like or watch, to the point to report it 😅 I hope it will not be a problem to the drama before it ends. ☹️
