I was behind on a few episodes because of work, and today I binge-watched them. Now I can only suffer with the rest of you 🥲 I need to read the novel now

PS. I really enjoy the overly dramatic entrances of the characters, as they are so pleasing to the eyes, both leads. I liked her red attire in that one scene. So pretty! Don't get me started on his black and red clothes; it is my favourite colour combination. 🤣

So, I was thinking she will never be able to return to her first identity or make it public because she lied to the emperor. She came to him under a false name, etc. As the novel was a transmigration type and she was in another body, I guess only a few people knew at the end who she was. I'm wondering if in the show she will always keep her current identity.

No, it is not modern, but the type of humour is a bit modern in a way (at the beginning there is nothing light or funny, but later there is), and some customs, makeup, etc., are not really accurate, but it never really is in dramas. I really enjoy it so far

I didn’t realize it had started! Just two episodes in, and so far, I love it. Even some over-the-top scenes are likeable 😆 and for once they managed to change the transmigration with something that makes remote sense, not like those terrible face swaps 😅😅😅

I didn't say I wanted him to date a kid, but I just prefer some kind of unexpected ending 🤣

Thanks for the quick reply. The drama will probably have the same ending, minus the date. I would have preferred the gangster alive and the other dead, but that would not be morally acceptable for a Korean show 😅

It had so much potential as a story, but it became the scriptwriter's fan fiction. They shouldn't have changed the main plots of the novel.

Does anyone know how the novel ends? I'm curious. As for the drama, I'm sure it will have one of those endings where the gangster persona disappears, leaving the original guy with his new life 😒 or where everyhing was just a dream 😅 and the gangster was just in coma all the time 🥲

I'm on episode 8 since the day it aired. Just don't think I'll be able to pick it up again and waste my time. Even for an easy, mindless rom-com, this one doesn't have anything to offer. The acting is mediocre, the characters are two-dimensional, and the relationship build-up is nonexistent or, at any rate, not engaging enough. Maybe if I had all the episodes, I would have binge-watched it till the end if I didn't have anything else to watch, like you said as well... but nope. PS.It did not help that I started watching other things while waiting for new episodes, and everything seemed so much better than this.

Their bond/relationship was based on shared trauma and was very toxic for both characters. Luckily, they broke the pattern, even if it wasn't in the best way. But at least apart, they could start the healing process

Or any historical drama with a plot outside of the romantic plot. Unfortunately, modern dramas, especially romantic ones, become a collection of filler tropes when they are too long

Maybe it's for the better. It is rare that they do a 40episode show without ruining it, especially the modern ones

The person who wrote the message takes jokingly "flirtatious" (I'm not sure how much proper flirting was present, to be honest) behaviour as some sin against humanity. And the first to have started the whole thing was the grandma. 😆 As for my comment, my PS was about people in general and had nothing to do with the drama

Everyone deserves respect, both in fictional stories and in real life. The way we talk about these characters can affect how we think about real people and their experiences. I don't understand how you wrote this rant after seeing a toxic relationship and placing all the blame on the female lead. 🤔 What does it even mean to flirt excessively?
PS. Also, unrelated to the drama, some people do enjoy casual sex, and there's nothing wrong with that, let alone flirting.

At the beginning, it might seem immature, and that the characters lack depth, but that is not the case (first scene of her in the hospital and her interaction with him on the train). Not tropey in dramatic ways, but obviously, there will always be tropes of some kind

Her mom is one of those judgmental mothers, but toward all the siblings, especially the brother, as she wants what she thinks is best for them. However, they all do what they want in the end, so it is not annoying. As for the third wheels, none so far; both leads had a relationships before

I am enjoying the show very much so far. I started watching it because I really liked the actor in Meet Yourself, but the show is much better than I had anticipated. I am truly enjoying the acting, the cinematography, the story, and the development of the characters 😀
