It was calm and yet comical at the same time. Surely a breath of fresh air compared to the obvious negativity of Gota's conversations with his own family members. Also tantalyzingly titillating...

Regarding episode 3, Gota and Midori's conversation in the park was memorable. Two frank, friendly, but frustrated individuals encroaching on dangerous territory...

Oh, btw Subaru's "ojiichan" is one cool gramps. And his Right-Hand Man Richard, who makes me think of Bruce Lee's character Kato in The Green Hornet, is not bad, either.

About episode 4: I shed some tears (rare for me) in the scene where Madoka recounts to Subaru her story of being saved by Fukuten. I wasn't expecting this humanly touching moment in a romantic comedy!

Watching episode 3 on the train and I have to slant my smartphone in such a way as other riders can’t see! Too embarrassing!

This show is rocking with this supporting cast! I’m partial to Mori Kanna…

A lot of thumbs up on the TVer site for this drama. As of today, January 11, 2025, the first episode has 32,000 thumbs up. The only comparable drama I can find is Kimura Takuya's Grand Maison Tokyo currently ongoing. No other drama comes even close at this point. So looks like the Japanese public is enjoying this rom-com. I am one of those thumbs up!

I had this on my Not Interested list for the longest time. But something made me try watching it again, and I wasn’t disappointed! It has a little bit of everything: sports drama, comedy, romance, family relationships, past memories, high school life, and so on. The cast is awesome, too! With young Yamada Takayuki and Ishihara Satomi leading the way. Music is top-notch, from opening to background to ending. The true star was the story, though. Kudos to the wonderful tale by Adachi Mitsuru. Surprisingly this drama scores so high for me that it’s on My Top Japanese Dramas Ever list.

Okay, will do. What I like about this drama is that it's a very relaxing watch. No worriies about vicious shouting matches, much less actual violence. And despite the failed(?) romance between the ML's, there is the relationship between their kids.

Well, in the final scene they’re still apparently happily married. But Sakura looked happy too with her situation , so all’s well that ends well.

Here’s something you might not know. After the series ended, they had a special where I think they filmed in Guam or somewhere close to there!

Iya iya iya (as the Japanese say). I want to watch this for Hina! Although Konatsu does get to show more flesh.

Agreed. LIke, if only Chiba Yuto didn't give Machi a glance as he kissed that girl. Then maybe Ms Onodera wouldn't have gone off her rocker in a fit of jealousy!
