When people said this was bad, I did not expect a slow thirty-minute slog about a group of boring friends chatting in a bar with poor acoustics interspersed with footage of a man tossing and turning in his bed. The horror element was maybe two or three loud sound effects and some laughably bad makeup. The plot? Basically indiscernible.
The sex scene was kinda nicely shot. Thatâs pretty much the only compliment I have in me.
Amazing chemistry and cool plot, but it just didnât feel like a finished product to me. Itâs a little difficult to rate when it feels like half or more of the movie was cut out.
Still a pretty nice watch and it goes by especially quickly because not a single second is wasted. Would easily recommend.
When you are slowly realizing it was all fan service đ
The culture around this industry is so weird. I donât understand why itâs either âtheyâre in loveâ or âthey despise each otherâ with zero middle ground.
They were co-workers spending hours upon hours together daily for months. Of course they were closer back when Bad Buddy was brand new and they were constantly working on advertising and fan events.
If someone had to move to a different department at their job, they might not be seen laughing and joking around with their co-workers as often simply because theyâre not in that immediate shared space. That doesnât mean they dislike them or were being fake before. Itâs not that serious.
It had its flaws, but the plot is so much more engaging than the huge majority of BL out there right now.
So many people were incredibly critical about this specific series. Iâll never understand why it was taken so seriously and dragged so hard when much worse shows are treated much more mercifully. Iâm not saying itâs a masterpiece, but it got lambasted basically right out the starting gate.
Highly recommend you watch it yourself and disregard the reviews.
Funny, but I thought this was the best of the 3 installments. Because it was so surprising when we got Kiyoi's…
Thatâs valid. The reveal to Kiyoiâs true character was a pleasant surprise, but to me, not quite as satisfying as watching them navigate and overcome the issues that arose when they actually started dating. Hira watching Kiyoi from afar reads to me like slightly modest exposition for a much more engaging future, but thatâs because exploring complicated relationship dynamics is my jam. Someone more concerned with simple, more impactful story beats may have a more well-rounded experience out of the first season alone.
What someone prefers probably just comes down to who you are and what kind of show you want to see.
In my eyes, this is just the foundation to support the stellar second season and movie.
Alone, this is not incredible. Itâs nicely done, but leaves a lot to be desired with their dynamic. That being said, it is necessary to experience the greatness that comes after. I was genuinely shocked at how the writing of their relationship improved following the first season.

But yeah. The sex scenes here seem really weirdly robotic, like you can feel the intimacy coordinator in the room. đ
