This is definitely a watch at 2.5 speed show. Is JA really that bad of an actor? His character his so bad - he…
Ja was really good in Don’t Say No. The series wasn’t great, but he portrayed a stoic yet sensitive character deeply in love with his best friend well.
For this disaster, I blame the script and the character.
It’s cheesy but not terrible. It’s a shame about the subs on Gaga though, they’re really bad. Sometimes I have no idea what an entire conversation is about because of how poorly phrased everything is.
Top was already about to fuck Boston in the shower. I doubt it’ll take much convincing.
That’s an interesting take. I thought he seemed conflicted, but then decided he wasn’t opposed enough to actually decline and started to let himself forget everything else and enjoy.
I’ll keep your interpretation in mind when I rewatch it next.
I join the chorus of those wishing they didn't play Punn like the village idiot. Perhaps he'll go through a big…
Yeah, that felt off to me too. I’d love for this to have a dark plot point where Ashi is lying for some reason and it sobers Punn up from this idealized, fantastical perception of him when ulterior motives are revealed, but unfortunately it’s probably just bad writing.
Would finally make the series interesting if they did do it, though.
Maybe the grandma’s comment about Ashi not becoming the villain could be foreshadowing. I can dream. 🫠
I was passively enjoying it until the seventh episode, which I’m still struggling to get past the last twenty minutes of. I usually really enjoy the episode where the leads finally get together, but it felt so incredibly anticlimactic I’m not really sure if I care enough to continue.
They’re acting in love already and it’s been five minutes. The pacing was also incredibly bizarre.
‘Oh. Punn confessed out of nowhere? Alright. Oh. Ashi reciprocates instantaneously? Um, that’s cool. Oh, now they’re fucking. Okay, and I guess they’re kinda married.’
As much as I adore Ja, something about Punn splashing Ashi in the tub like a toddler gave me the ick. 💀
Mew and Top are putting me to sleep. ForceBook just isn’t selling it to me. I’m getting nothing.
No charm. No expressions. No sexual tension, no romantic chemistry.
On the other hand, NeoMark and FirstKhaotung are making the most out of every single second of screen time. You can tell they’re fully into their characters and super comfortable in these roles. It’s early to say definitively, but so far, I think the series would’ve been better with just those two couples or perhaps two different actors.
The writing is salvageable, so I’d kill for them portrayed by OffGun, KristGawin or PondPhuwin instead. Or even EarthMix.
