The final few minutes especially captured the blissful, passionate warmth of being in love so well. Hira’s gratefulness just to experience his feelings for Kiyoi was written with such thought put into his character. I can’t remember the last time I cried like that. Everything was wrapped up so beautifully that I didn’t feel my usual ‘end of series’ angst—it was just as long as it needed to be, and said everything it had to say so eloquently.
Well done to everyone involved. The actors, the writers, the cinematographers. You created a beautiful thing.
It won’t happen, but Nick hooking up with Top to get back at Boston would be so interesting. Especially if it was set up so that Boston would walk in on them or see them together to mirror what happened in this episode.
I just want Nick to swipe the power out from under Ton so badly, man. It’d be so satisfying.
