I watched most of Chinese costume dramas, and the thing that I don't agree with Coroner's Diary is how the FL can casually give the "orders" to the royals like a boss. Other Chinese costume dramas NEVER do that. Take this note. NEVER. No matter how close the leads relationship, even though they are already married, when it's related to imperial family members, then FL needs to ask for help in polite and careful manners.

You can die instantly in the ancient times if you acted like FL in Coroner's Diary.

I was so SURPRISED when I watch FL give the orders like a boss to ML. Hellooo, HE IS A PRINCE. Also, I still can't relate with the princess become her bodyguard and the FL asked her to do this and that like a lady boss 😅 Yes, I really enjoy this drama. But I still can't ignore this odd manners from FL. She can be polite in some situations, but she can be bold in other situations.

FL in A Dream within A Dream was also like that. She can do want she wants. But it's totally a different case with Coroner's Diary. We already knew that FL from ADWAD is not belong in that world. She is from the modern times. And she treated all the ppl as script characters in the beginning. Also, the FL in ADWAD realized that she is protected by plot armors in the script world so she will not die.

But Coroner's Diary? The FL is indeed belong to her ancient era. So I can't tolerate her odd manners in giving orders to the higher status people and imperial family members.

I can't stop watching this drama! All the cases are complex but interesting. No boring moments.

I prefer to see STRONG and SMART main leads rather than weak and dumb main leads.

So i don't mind the plot armors. I like to see that they can win everytime.

I am not new to detective dramas. And this drama cases are not repetitive like you said. They have complex amd smart storylines. No boring moments and FAST PACED.

I also like Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, Mysterious Lotus Casebook, and etc.

But my most favorite genre is actually Romance and Palace Politics + Game of Thrones + Noble families conflicts + Battle/War. For example Story of Kunning Palace, The Double, Blossom, The Princess Gambit, Love Like The Galaxy, The Glory, The Prisoner of Beauty, Kill Me Love Me, and etc.

Li Landi acting is really good in this drama. She was elegant, cold, and mature. You can't expect her to be overacting when her character supposed to be "mature". She did a decent job in this drama.

You are the one who need to check your mental state. Everyone can see which comments that screaming something non sense like childish toxic fans here.

I think the cinematography is pretty fine. But I must say that many other chinese costume dramas have more beautiful cinematography such as The Double, Blossom, Love Like The Galaxy, My Journey to You, Kill Me Love Me, and etc.

Wang Xing Yue is 183 cm for height. His frame is not too short. But his build is not suitable for this type of drama. Cheng Lei is more elegant, colder, mature for this general role.

No. Cheng Lei is the suitable choice for this drama. Have you seen Cheng Lei performance in My Journey to You as Gong Shang Jue? He slays the general role impressively there. He is so cold and cruel in MJTY. He is even darker than Duke Su character.

Cheng Lei gaze and body build are even more mature and colder than Wang Xing Yue.

Yes. We have different opinions then. I think Cheng Lei is more masculine and handsome than her. Zhou Ye still looked like a female with slim build and female voice. So i can't relate with what you said 😂

Who said that? We have so many Costume dramas all the time. For recent dramas, you can watch the finished airing Coroner's Diary, A Dream Within A Dream, The Princess Gambit, and etc. They are very great to watch.

The Wanted Detective and The Immortal Ascensions are also still on going.

Yeah. She always have the opposite tastes with majority of people. She is quite picky with idol dramas except her fave actors/actresses dramas. She has soft hearts for Liu Yu Ning, Tan Jian Ci, and Yu Shu Xin. So you will find her reviews will be more friendly to them.

I think she still looked like a female. But she has masculine sides in her character here. And it gave more vibes for her disguise as male.

She indeed looked like a pretty boy. But Chinese drama male actors are still more handsome than her. They are the real men, and they gave different level of handsomeness. Male and female have different face features in nature. Different body features. And different vibes and aura.
