Personally, i don't find MZY acting is so bad like some people said. Her character was set as "cold" and "calculative" from the beginning. She must hide her own feelings and calculate about everything. We can't expect MZY to be very overracting as Jiang Tao Hua, right? When she was screaming and crying because of her little brother, it's all good in my opinion. It's all on point.

I agree with you about Hu Yi Tian. He looked very awkward in Blossoms in Adversity especially with that curly hair. Why the hair stylist didn't give him the long straight black hair like other male characters? Even 2nd ML Caesar Wu is more handsome than HYT.

Lin Yi, he only play ONE costume drama with Zhao Jin Mai and his styling was too plain and outdated in that drama. We should give him another chance with GOOD hair stylist and costume. With his type of handsome face, I think he will be so handsome in the right hand of stylist. But Lin Yi rarely accept costume dramas. So, idk about it. It's his choice.

Xin Yun Lai is still looking good for me in The Glory and Legend of Shenli. Shen Yue? She looks totally fine in Love in Pavillion. She is pretty with ancient costume.

LOTFG got supporting actor scandals. And TPOB got FL tax scandals before (She is innocent so the drama can be aired safely). It's understandable if Tencent will not do any promotions because they are playing safe for dramas that linked with scandals. They will just AIR DROP the dramas as long as they passed the censorship already.

Blossom is a very great drama. It has very strong beautiful vibes and tragedy (spoiler = Happy Ending). Everything is very stable and consistent until the end. The director and script writer really did a good job to create atmosphere and stories like that. The cinematography is also poetic and visually stunning.

You should definitely try it after your feelings to MZY is back to neutral.

Well, you can't call me wrong because I have different opinions with you. It's indeed true that these current dramas have better technical aspects + quality with best budget/resources and production designs. Chinese dramas cinematography are visually stunning and their whole packages are like cinema worthy these days.

About acting, tbh, I am more into appearance than "acting". I will not watch any dramas if the actors and actresses visuals are not good. And i am sure it becomes the NEW trend these days. Many people also love good looking actors and actresses. People around me are all like that. When they watch dramas, the actors and actresses need to have good visuals, otherwise, they won't watch it.

Like I said before, we have different perspectives to each other. You liked past dramas because it's more appeal to your taste, but I still vote for current dramas because of its visuals, production designs, and technical aspects.

Oh, I still think current actors and actresses acted the script as ancient people. Their behaviours and the way they talked are still like traditional ancient people. I never feel that they are modern people with costume. So like I said, we have different tastes about many things.
