Stop overhyping. Wang Xing Yue is still a young idol actor no matter what you said as his fan. He is in the same group with other rising stars like Dylan Wang, Zhang Ling He, Xu Kai, and etc. Also, nothing is wrong with idol status. Many good actors & actresses also have idol status in Chinese dramaland.

No. WXY still do many idol dramas. Just look at his filmography. First love, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, One & Only, Story of Kunning Palace, The Double, Perfect Match, Your Sensibility My Destiny, and The Wanted Detective are still idol dramas. His upcoming drama with Bai Lu is also idol drama.

This is still idol drama. Julia Xiang and Wang Xing Yue are good looking people with good traffics. Idol drama also have detective and mystery genre. Coroner's diary is one example of detective idol drama.

Love of The Divine Tree is iQiyi in-house production. And Tencent also aired the drama.

If they wanna cast young actress with similar features like Liu Hao Chun, I think Xu Ruo Han can be the suitable FL for Wang An Yu in this drama. She is a young actress with passionate kissing scenes in previous projects (Forbidden Flower, The Best Thing). We also know Wang An Yu is also very good in kissing scenes.
