first time watching a drama and screaming “NO NO DON’T DO IT” for the first kiss HAHA... the drama is so realistic because toxic relationships happen so often, there is something strangely addictive about what’s happening between them even if i hate their relationship
i like how the first kiss basically foreshadow the relationship and how badly it will end, obviously no healthy relationship can start this way, we just know what’s going to happen
some people in this comment section clearly did not experience a toxic relationship with the way they judge the fl... and good for you lol
watched episode 9 and it’s cute, it’s a light drama so i feel happy watching every episode, their chemistry gets better each episode and i like how they follow the book quite closely so far, can’t wait for the next episodes! does anyone know a similar drama to wait for each episode?
first four episodes were cute i can’t wait to see more! my favorite parts are the games with the characters, it’s so well animated and the soundtracks are so nice too
what kind of love triangle does this show have? does is it basically carry the show?
it doesn't carry the show, i would say the show focus is the FL and her work at the publishing company, the love triangle is present but not heavy (and helps the two leads relationship)
the preview for episode 13 is mmm a bit anticlimactic, vincenzo appears defeated and visibly lost against mr. cho for the gold? i might be wrong but since the trio seems disappointed, it reminds me of episode 1 where he trusted the scammer at the airport and got robbed of all his belongings, i just don't understand how can someone who can outsmart junwoo and myunghee isn't more careful? he's in the mafia, he knows better than anyone you can't trust people? idk... the comedy effect they try to do with vincenzo character makes him appear weak which doesn't make sense with his background, i mean we will see since the preview doesn't show much after all.
i think the place where the gold was hidden got opened too easily? like yeah they struggled a bit but for a place that was at the beginning impossible to reach, they got in just like that, i was live tweeting the episode and people on twitter all went "damn they already got in?"... i was certain at first they would not find any gold there but i guess i'm going to go with the thoery that the gold is fake because it makes indeed not a lot of sense to hide so much gold in south korea, like why not hidding it in china and so far from him? also you're telling me that such a powerful person would not plan to put his gold away in case he dies? i doubt he would hide and give up his gold like that in case something happens to him.
so my thoery, miri who seems to be a hacker, probably got told to go live in this place, i believe she didn't know why at first and lived a quiet life, watching everything secretly until she started to hear about the gold. pretty sure she moved the gold, knowing everything and clearly showing interest, she definitely didn't go traveling without doing anything. that one scene in the preview where all the tenants seem to question/threaten someone? my bet is mr. cho, either he thought the gold was real but then he realized it wasn't so when they're going to ask him where is the gold, he'll tell them it was fake leading to find who among the tenants could have moved and change the gold, either it's something else.
my second theory is that all the tenants including miri got told to live there for x reason. those characters are too important to be simple fillers and they're all pretending to be stupid. we have a gang member (hongsik), sportmen/fighters? (cheol wook and his wife), hacker (miri), wife of a criminal that is herself involved? (heesoo), a hustler? (toto who seems to hide the most and lied about everything), i could be wrong but i don't monk jeokha was a monk all his life, also gilbert is also a support role so he doesn't seem to be a simple beggar but definitely someone who is watching the building and got told to tell about the gold so something like a watcher? vincenzo could definitely etablish his own mafia with them because we probably have only criminals living there!
we knew mr. cho would betray him... we felt it coming but i’m not worried for our vincenzo, if there is blood next episode it definitely won’t be his but mr.cho one lol, also that moment between our married couple, chayoung finally felt the tension between them and got scared i laughed too hard our kiss scene is coming vincenzo is already ready hahaha
my thoughts were right, cha young character keeps getting darker and darker, her stare is just too dark sometimes it really looks like she wants to kill someone... when vincenzo told her "you're like a mafia member" i wanted to scream, we really have our married mafia couple lol ! i don't want a bad ending for them, i need them happy together on an island, but i'm already preparing my heart for the worst... i rewatched some of the episodes and i think it's in episode 2 or 3, she said she would laugh at him to the point he would want to kill her if his wrongdoings get exposed, i mean she's definitely not going to laugh since their relationship completely changed since then but since he lied to her about not killing anyone i guess it'll be mentioned soon probably in the next episode, however she said that if it was true she would feel as if they belong to different worlds, but after what she has done with the killers... is it still the case? she gets so comfy with him belonging to the mafia ect, so i want to know how she feels now, she didn't seem surprised either... so my guess is that she knew already deep in her heart he killed people but just accepted his lies. also there is one thing that just bothers me even if i think it's nothing, but the first time vincenzo goes to cha young's dad house, he looked at cha young pictures hanging on the wall, but the way it was showed, it looked like as if he knew her from somewhere or something, i doubt since it's his first time in south korea since he left right? it's just the way they focused on the pictures he was maybe just curious about her childhood pictures but for some reasons i'm a bit skeptical, i hope it's nothing because i don't like the childhood trope actually but it would be interesting if there was something else in cha young past, because i have to admit with her father i don't really understand why she would work for woosang, maybe as a revenge for what happened with her mother? probably why... but her change of heart, from defending the rich to help the poor, it happened so quick, yes she felt guilty about her father death but still... anyway i have too many thoughts in my head lol
just a random thought coming to me but anyone thinking toward the end, the one that will do The irredeemable thing won't be vincenzo but chayoung? it's just her stare sometimes, i just find it very dark, almost darker than vincenzo and i feel like she could do something if anything happened to vincenzo, it could also give a reason for both to escape together and have their "happy ending" outside of korea, even if i doubt it will be that easy but just a thought lol
watched the current ten episodes in one day and i’m officially obsessed with this drama, joongki character is just captivating and i like the slow burn romance, that hug said so much... but how am i supposed to wait one week for the next episode now
i like how the first kiss basically foreshadow the relationship and how badly it will end, obviously no healthy relationship can start this way, we just know what’s going to happen
