Title Not Me
i started the drama for the actress film and wasn’t expecting anything but i’m so incredibly surprised to see how amazing it is? it’s simply a masterpiece in terms of plot, development, pace, characters and acting.

contrary to some comments i just read i’m very thankful to the political aspect portrayed in this drama which 100% share my point of view of the current society. if you’re a bit interested about thailand you know should what kind of life the poor class has been and is still enduring (ex: not even being able to school their children, not allowed to peacefully protest without being attacked by the army and even sometimes ending up in jail) because of the corrupted government favoring rich people, on top of the others social injustices mentioned.

i live in a country where officiously the law is no longer followed, where despite the apparent democracy the people are no longer voting for any law, and it’s very interesting to see a drama portraying very strongly all of this. even if it might be an issue to categorize every rich people as privileged and corrupted, i’m sorry to say but as someone who cannot studies what she wants because of financial issues or finds the job she wants because of lack of connections, it is also a reality that privileged people will have access to things i can only dream of; some people might see the law as an universal truth but to my eyes it’s very much flawed and many laws in my country are totally absurd and made me realize that at the end the country doesn’t actually belong to its people but the government (rich children get an easy spot in the best and most expensive schools which names and diploma will give you easy access in high and important positions despite being incompetent and only caring about becoming richer) and even if law should be in favor of people if the government is corrupted the whole system becomes completely useless and unfair (another point mentioned in the drama when white argues with his father)

despite the obvious and naive white and black themes (not the characters, but i have to mention their are names are perfectly chosen) the drama doesn't say what they do is right, they’re rebellious and outlaw that will be punished for sure at some point of the drama but it’s still nice to see how they try to take actions in this corrupted society where justice and law already failed them (ex: sean)

i’m definitely taking the drama too personably but at least it tells how good it is since it managed to move my heart and i’m very interested to see the direction it’ll take.

now about the characters and relationships; i really like white and sean dynamic, an angsty slow burn, it’s already very intense between them and i love that we can expect a mature romance between them this time. i should say if you’re only watching the drama for the romance between them you’ll be disappointed since it’s not the main focus, the drama resolves more around the story than the characters. however i can already feel the romance will be very nice and deep later on and you might miss some very good scenes (from both couples) if you drop it.

also i think it’s very obvious who is behind black injuries but i’m more interested to know why did white got involved (i’m guessing to hurt the person black loves the most aka his twin brother) and i really love the mystery around each character, everyone is playing so well. i’m 100% into the drama and i can’t wait for next sunday.

I wonder how they'll make Gorya's classmate friend a "villain" or maybe she's just a really innocent nice girl.
she started showing some signs of jealousy in episode 3 (when gorya comes to school with thyme's sister car and also when gorya mentions going to see mira at the airport) tbh i don't think she will be as evil as the one in hana yori dango she looks softer for now but who knows she might surprise us

the drama is so fun and amazing i don’t know why the rating is so low already when for any dark comedy drama…
i read some rated it bad because of the lack of romance? but the romance is obvious for me since episode 1 when they mentioned yieon marriage, like he will surely get married with fl in the last episodes, episode 2 he saved her when they were trying to catch the assassin, episode 3 they again mentioned marriage, episode 4 they already kissed, it’s just going to be a slow burn one (i mean the romance is not that slow for me they’re already attracted to each other) since it’s not the main focus of the drama

rewatched the drama and if i didn’t like how it was going the first time i watched it, i surprisingly perceive the drama differently now. honestly i don’t think the relationship is that toxic like obviously it’s not the best but it’s literally what friends with benefits is, they’re friends who have sex, end of the story. since she does know since the start into what she was going, she was warned many times but still got disappointed and heartbroken. do i blame her? definitely not, even if many finds her stupid and naive i think she’s very much relatable, so i guess that makes me stupid and naive lol.

the drama is actually a pretty much a déjà-vu of many movies: they start as sex friends, she gets feelings, he doesn’t want more because he has blabla issues from the past, she stops the relationship because he’s an asshole, that makes him wake up and realizes he actually loves her and bam happy ending they get into a real relationship.

he was attracted to her but didn’t want to get attached because of his mum issues, he was selfish, immature and really stupid but just like so many young men at this age who are afraid of love, is he a little shit? YES DEFINITELY and she even mentions it in the last minutes when they get together so she knows how the relationship could eventually turn again but it’s just one relationship in her life after all, she’s young and just wants to do what her hearts tells her, would she regret? probably but anyway she would get over it or who knows maybe this time it would work lol.

i loved the pacing for my part, the way it was shot was quite poetic and i really liked how many dialogues had a double meaning especially in the last episode when they fix her statue. i’m into slow pacing dramas for some times now, despite her taking “bad decision over bad decision” it is realistic to me, i have so many friends with similar stories, girls willing to try a relationship with this type of men and thinking they can maybe change them … very common.

however i can see why some people think they wasted their time since it’s true her character has no development however i enjoyed every episode and i don’t care about development, more than development to my eyes she chose to follow a philosophy she was hesitating to take all along, this philosophy being following her heart and desires, that it’s ok to prioritize your feelings and how you feel sometimes instead what your head tells you, if being with him makes her happy for now then i can see why she wants to be with him, especially feeling this attracted to someone and having so much in common is really rare so why not try again, she “broke up” with him once she can do it again.

i loved the acting including song kang one, i don’t know why he got bashed so badly, it was fine to me? i was really into their chemistry and if he was that bad actor then he technically wouldn’t be able to have any with her, i already watched so many low budgets web dramas and he’s definitely far from someone who cannot act at all.

it was a bit long and if i would have given a 8/10 on the first watch i now give it a 10/10 (even if i wanted more of the intense relationship we got in the beginning and less of the sad dramatic thing we got the rest of the drama) since i enjoyed every episode.
