silly sweet comedy i like it! so far i’m not 100% into the drama but it’s cute and i’m impatiently waiting for the part where they have to deal with the fact he’s a god and she’s human
Am i the only one who thinks this drama is weird. Like when did the male lead likes the female lead? Does he loves…
as i see it, male lead started getting interesting in her because of her food and how she fixed the burned paper, he eventually started to fall for her through those hide and seek games between them, even before knowing her identity and how she looked like; the messages, drawings, all these little things, i feel like he liked how gifted, attentive, meticulous and curious she was, especially for someone of her rank it got him excited, and when he saw how she looked like (so pretty), he becomes totally infatuated with her
for his wife i don’t think ml ever loved her but he always respected her and hoped to have a good relationship with her for sure, they didn’t even consume the mariage from what i understand and wanted to get closer with her at first, but then she disappointed him when he learned she was trying to kill herself all this time because it basically means she prefers to die than being his wife
for the general you, he’s indeed a twisted character; female lead faced him up a few times, even humiliating him in front of everyone by outsmarting him, as a powerful high-ranked man it’s an affront, she bruised his ego reason why he hates her, but at the same time it’s probably the first time a woman was bold enough to go against him, and he can’t help himself but fall for her force and resourcefulness (and her beauty for sure) i think they also know each other from when they were kids (and got his curiosity as well) but then despite his attempts to be on her good side and even forming an alliance with her, she keeps rejecting him, he’s frustrated but it seems the more she pushes him away the more he wants her lol (i believe he will eventually have a loveline with yuehua since he can’t win against the future emperor after all)
for yuehua she’s also a twisted character because she wants to be loved; she’s someone who is seen very lonely from the start, suffering of rejection from her mother and pretty much desperate for love, friend, attention and recognition. we saw her many times trying to help and get closer to female lead but can’t bring herself to go talk and be honest with her feelings, it’s because she got rejected all her life and she’s not confident enough. i don’t think she’s evil since she showed kindness in many situations but she’s very lost and influenced by anyone giving her the slightest attention. all the frustration turned into jealousy and wanting to be better than female who is loved and recognized by everyone (even if she likes her and wanted to be friends with her, since female lead has everything she ever wanted she’s becoming desperate, to me she’s more pitiful than anything because even after her misdeeds she still looks unsure and guilty) she already got used by people and for sure her weaknesses will led to her downfall (if you watch the drama teaser you’ll know what i mean) if one thing i trust her maybe a bit more than ziping because ziping suffers from a huge inferiority complex and she’s very unstable, to me it’s a bit unbelievable how female lead forgave her so easily after she tried to kill her, she’s also jealous and hostile and if she was to gain power i feel like she could become evil, however i might be wrong but i don’t think she’ll manage to gain power because of her impulsive personality and the way she tries to prove herself every time (she’s not as smart as female lead so it never works and she gets humiliated) and she’ll probably end up getting herself killed because of that
so far it's cute and nice! (but i do wish the seduction game between them shown in the trailer was a bit more present, because i watched the teasers for the next episodes and nothing)
the way the pov was focused on thyme's mum voice in the first minutes of episode 6, it almost looked like ren was back in thailand because of thyme's mum? as if she's using him to separate thyme and gorya, probably not but what if she's even more evil in this version it gets me a bit hooked...
the most intense episode it was so good, i really like all the changes with hana character, and june acting was really superb! (i don’t know if anyone noticed the details between hana and mj, he always has been looking at her since episode 1 so i find it cool how they connected the dots in today episode, and if i didn’t know the original story for mj character i could see something between them even as friends) we’ve been knew f4 thailand is the most realistic version out of all but today episode again really proved it. thyme is definitely the kindest version of the character (and if i’m being honest almost too kind if i compare him to early episodes, i wonder how much times passed between episode 1 to now? because he apologizes really easily now that it’s almost unbelievable, he’s like the “best member” in f4 when he’s supposed to be the worst?) but then thanks to that tho i actually like gorya x thyme here where i was rooting for sml in all the others versions since i couldn’t stand all the violence, so it’s fine they make thyme a lot better, i’m really excited for the next episode!
tbh i fast-fowarded between episodes 22-36 because i'm just not into war plot, but i still give 10/10 for the romance which was so good, for mu wang qing which i'm pretty sure is the best female lead in a chinese drama and xu guang yao for being the best second male lead we could ask for (if you're not into war plot like me you can watch until episode 20 or you would miss a very good romance) i also really liked the setting? the jazz music, the oufits, it was really nice.
