I actually really enjoyed that last episode! Sungyeol was hilarious. I'm so happy about Angel Sunbae and wish I could give him all the love in the world. I'm glad that Woo Hyun and Seul Bi finally got their happily ever after!
The teacher F4 reference had me cracking up, especially when the gym teacher was told he was the Goo Jun Pyo of the group. I also love how all the couples finally played out well. Not too keen on Ye Na with Sunbae but I guess the sexy new high school Literature teacher needs love too <3
All in all: I think this drama was fun overall, a bit too angsty sometimes for me but it is high school. I like how everyone was redeemed in the end and got a slice of the happy pie. The ending scene was corny but adorable. For me, it's an 8.5/10 because I enjoyed the majority of it.
Two cents pitched :D I am happy to now have completed this drama. I can't say I won't miss the weekly eye candy though!
After all that angst, it got a lot better with episode 19 and then the ending just came out of nowhere! I'm excited to see the last episode though. I've been waiting so long for this drama to reach its happy ending.
It's strange how my favourite character ended up being Angel Sunbae.
from the plot description, this sounds a bit similar to last cinderella. is it? i loved last cinderella, the characters…
It is similar because of the younger man/older woman relationship but the characters aren't silly. I loved Last Cinderella especially because of how goofy the female lead was at time but the female lead here is quiet and the storyline is a bit more serious with less of the funny. I find it quite different to be honest from Last Cinderella. However, I still find it enjoyable so far.
I've watched Empress Ki and agree wholeheartedly. It's a fantastic drama despite the sometimes questionable plot points but the actors and actresses more than make up for it. I love historical dramas with romance in them like Empress Ki and Scarlet Heart. Currently watching The Sound of The Desert which is also spectacular.
It's so hard to find some historical dramas with English subs though, especially the Chinese ones. :(
Really great article! Will check out some of the recommendations.
For all of you who enjoyed the drama but hated the ending, read this (credit to strawberries34 @ soompi): http://soah-hime.tumblr.com/post/102089050446/about-my-lovely-girl-ending-read-it-because-it
I didn't dislike the ending because of how they ended up together though -although I certainly better understand why she left as she did, thanks to that article (and you for posting it!).
My main issue is - why was Hyuk Wook's father so against a relationship between his son and either one of the Yoon sisters? I mean, Se Na I can understand a bit considering she's Hyuk Wook's dead girlfriend's little sister but why was he so against So Eun in the first place?
You're kidding me right now. That's the ending? There is so many unresolved issues in this that even though I enjoyed the majority of the drama because it (meaning Dal Bong and Si Woo and occasionally Hyun Wook) was cute, I can't rate it very high at all.
He's barely present in High School Love On and yet every episode I look forward to his small part...I got sad in the episodes where he was absent! Somehow he's ended up as my favourite character :)

I think I'm alone on this sinking ship but I'll go down with it xD
Also, Jang Hyuk and Woo Bin, how can I not.
