Started this a few days ago and already caught up to episode 13. It's certainly an interesting drama and Shi Woo is just too cute. His character feels refreshing in the midst of all the angsty stuff.
I'm just wondering though and since I don't have an older sister I probably can't imagine how this would turn out in real life but - is it really that bad for a younger sister to fall in love with her deceased older sister's boyfriend?
Forgive me, but I don't quite see the problem.
It's so addictive, this drama! I don't know if it's Eddie Peng or Wei Wu Ji who I adore but every scene he's in I absolutely love automatically.
Hu Ge ain't bad either but Mo Xun's repressed emotions aren't my style. Give me the impulsive and badass Wu Ji any day :D
Okay so I finished it and originally I was going to give it a 7 but the last two lines added an extra point:
Hae Young: "Jo Sung Gyum-sshi, I missed you."
Sung Gyum: "Whatever."
8/10 might be a generous score since I spent the majority of the last 5 or so episodes being aggravated and wanting to strangle practically everyone. Not a bad drama I think, just very flawed in some respects. At least the actors are very pretty?
I'm an Austen fan myself but I cringe that Geum Jan Di is compared to Lizzie Bennet. Jan Di was not my favourite character, to be put it mildly. D:
That being said though, I find this article quite intriguing.
Mansfield Park though - anyone can think of a drama similar to that?
(I like watching Henry Crawford fall for Fanny and then get nowhere. Yes, I'm slightly evil.)
While I didn't like Nam SangHyo or Jo Sung Gyeom, Goo Hae Young saved this drama for me. Absolutely loved the…
The man could read me a telephone book on repeat for the rest of my life and I'd die a happy woman.
(In other words, I agree with you about his voice :D)
I'm actually kind of afraid to watch the remaining three episodes I have left to complete this drama. I had so much love for it in the beginning! How did it go so wrong? ;-;
A breeze to watch and so so good! I think I loved it more than I did the anime. With 11 short episodes, of course they left out little parts of it and I think that's probably why. Some of the things I didn't like in the anime were left out and there were some additions here and there which I loved. I appreciate how Nekozawa was added into it too.
Every episode was a pleasure to watch. I have to commend the acting, especially for Yamamoto Yusuke who is fantastic as Tamaki-senpai. I haven't enjoyed a drama like this in a while.
(Really good looking guys in this though - Nekozawa-senpai and Kyouya-senpai never looked so good to me before <3)
Still watching this and I'm absolutely baffled. I know how it's going to end thanks to internet spoilers but good…
I understand completely! This was actually my first (currently still is - I'm waiting on Imperial Doctress for my 2nd) drama with Wallace Hou in it and he pretty much won me over from the start xD
I still finished this drama though mainly because I wanted to see how it all ended and I feel like after spending so much time on it, it'd be a shame not to finish it. The ending was definitely...interesting.
At this point, I honestly believe that Sang Hyo needs a psychiatrist, not a man. Preferably a female one who will not fawn over her like these idiots.
I respect the actors and actresses for giving it their all, but damn, this show is a mess right now. Such high hopes I had in the beginning, now dashed.
I just want to finish this and move on with my drama life.
Episode 14 looks a tiny bit interesting - birth secret, anyone? At this point, as long as I hear the name of the murderer, I'm out. Sorry, Nam Goong Min and Jin Yi Han <3
So almost a month and a half since starting this, I'm finally done! I actually would've finished earlier if I didn't have an exam to study for but turns out, episode 16 was the perfect place to restart! The last few episodes were really intense and I like how they structured the ending.
Truth be told though, I probably wouldn't have started and I certainly wouldn't have finished this drama if it weren't for Yoo Seung Ho's acting. I don't know if it's the character or the actor I find so intriguing but wow, he really amazed me - just so much emotion. I have a strange interest in his character's obsession too.
I have to give credit to Park Yoochun who's never won me in a role before this drama.
I was initially wary of starting because it's a melodrama but to me, while there's plenty sad, I feel like it's well balanced. There's a hell of a love triangle for one thing followed by some pretty intense drama but also, quite a bit of crying - I somehow remained unmoved, even though I'm usually a sucker for anything even slightly sad.
Really liked it!
Watching the raw episodes on YouTube and loving every minute even if I don't really understand what they're saying.
I know one YouTuber is most likely working on a subbed version so fingers crossed that it's up soon.

For a drama that started out promising, I'm disappointed.
