Title Empress Ki Spoiler
I AM INCENSED.
Wang Yoo did not deserve that. The only thing he's ever done "wrong" is love and do everything in his power to protect a woman that happened to be loved by the Emperor. And it's not like that was his fault- Seung Nyang and Wang Yoo loved each other! And just because Ta Hwan is selfish in his love and desires and delusional, he killed a good man and character out of some delusional thought that it had to be either Seung Nyang or Wang Yoo to live. And because Ta Hwan gave him that ultimatum, Wang Yoo chose to let Seung Nyang live, because he's that innately GOOD and he loved her that much. And he spent his last breath calling her name.

I am done. I am so done right now.

It's hard to believe that this drama is ending. I just really hope that the ending is happy. Please be happy ;-; I can't handle any more heartbreak.

I MUST tell you thank you for mentioning Uta No Prince Sama! I read about it in this article, looked it up and promptly watched every available episode I could find! I love these kinds of anime so thanks so much! Even if the main girl is a bit trying, the songs and STARISH are well worth it. If they made UNPS a drama, I'd love to see who they would cast. xD

Turns out, I couldn't stay away from MDL for too long because of Empress Ki! Looks like Ta Hwan's finally off the crazy train from the episode 49 videos! And oh my gosh, Taltal CRIED. It's probably wrong to fangirl about someone's tears but I did anyway!

TALTAL CRIED.
OH MY GOD ;-;
Like this character couldn't get any better but apparently even crying is attractive on him.

I'm not sure if I really helped in explaining either but if you have the chance to, you can give them a try and tell me how it goes! :D I think I've posted entirely too much for tonight so I'll stop now ^^ As always, it's lovely having these discussions :D
On another note, I'm not sure if I'll be on for the next few weeks so if I don't reply, I'm really sorry in advance. I will try though! Take care!

The 1st few episodes were interesting although I had a little trouble differentiating the princes (I’m a wiz at that now though!) but as I watched it more, the more I loved it. I don’t really know how to describe but you almost feel like you’re growing up with the main character. You watch her mature from a happy-go-lucky 14 year old to a woman in her 30’s & you don’t feel that time pass at all. The politics in this drama was much heavier than I’m accustomed to but it never hindered my interest in it at all. I also never skimmed in this one despite my tendency to do so in others. It just captivated me & I’m still sort of astounded by how good it was.So my opinion is to try it. It took me a week to finish it because I was managing school simultaneously but it was too good to deny myself watching it even when I had more important things to do. I'd definitely recommend you give it a try. :)

That being said, the main reason JMG is so high on my list of top dramas is because of its ending. Never have I cried so much for a drama. My opinion on you watching it: only if you’re in the mood to marathon a drama & you don’t mind skimming. The thing with that drama is that if you put it down, you won’t want to pick it back up. I watched it within 2 days. I usually end up easily bored which is why I tend to finish my dramas quickly before I lose interest (unless of course, it’s currently airing and as exciting as EK was/is).
On to Startling: Oh wow, we've entered favourite drama territory. If you told me it was going to be my favourite of all the dramas I’ve watched when I first heard about it, I’d have had a good chuckle. Because to be honest, the baldies really put me off. That being said, when I started it, I never expected to love it as much as I do.

LOL about your summary of Ja Myung Go. It's actually not that far off. But the drama was actually a lot better than it sounds, or at least I thought it was. There were quite a bit of problems with the pacing & you end up hating the male lead (the guy who's stuck between the sisters) precisely because of his indecisiveness & his ambition. Despite the faults it had, it never failed to keep me interested though I will admit again that I did skim through most of the politics and focused on the main characters – Ja Myung & Hodong. It was strange actually – their relationship was never overly romantic but it managed to stay with me even after the drama ended. 12 episodes were spent on the childhood of the characters but when they did finally meet as adults, it was similar to how Seung Nyang & Wang Yoo met in the beginning of EK. The last few episodes were the best of the drama for me.

And oh yes, Queen of SOP! I was actually pleasantly surprised by that drama. I'd never seen Zhang Han before so to see him & Joe Chen together - it was wonderful! That love triangle was cute too & my, oh my, Godfrey Gao. He is gorgeous. There's that moment with the elevator seen with Tang Jun & Xiao Jie being adorable & kissing only for Zhi Qi to walk in - one of the best love triangle moments ever for me! xD As you can see from my list, Queen of SOP beat Prince of Lan Ling like nothing [though PLL ended up on that list because of Yu Wen Yong anyway] .
Oh, EK. Since I saw that Maha died I've been holding off on watching it. I hope these last 4 episodes have some happiness in them! I read that Jin Yi Han/Taltal had his last day on set on April 17th which made me sad. Does that mean no more Taltal in the last few episodes? I sure hope not. D:

Hi again! I'm glad I didn't bug you with my ridiculously long message! :D
No, I haven't seen any of the new T-dramas but I get where you're coming from with the chemistry and realistic romance. It's an old Taiwanese drama but I thought Devil Beside You with Rainie Yang & Mike He had one of the most memorable & romantic relationship in a drama that I've seen. Oh & the kissing scenes in that ~swoon. I'll definitely have to check it out but these days, I find myself into Chinese dramas more than anything else. I've been on a craze about them since Startling & I can't seem to stop. Then I watched Mulan the other day which didn't help.
I seem to tire easily with Korean dramas these days & I have exams in 2 weeks so I'll hold off Arang for a while. When I do get around to it, I'll let you know how it goes ^^

That ending o.o Interesting movie though. For some reason, I really liked watching Sungwon's obsession and how…
[For anyone else reading this - avert your eyes unless you want it spoiled - and I mean big time spoiler]

@Lily2PM, hi, sorry for the late reply! But no, they don't. The ending was a bit...crazy. And even that's an understatement now that I think about it.

I NEED TO SEE THIS.
I'm reading the translated novel and wow!
And then I watched the 15 minute trailer on Viki which was a bad idea because now I'm all excited for a drama that doesn't have an air date. Still though, a must-see! Tong Hua's Bu Bu Jing Xin is my favourite but we'll see when I finish this.

Whoever wants to see the English-subbed trailer, the link is on here along with some very exciting (at least for me) stills and BTS pictures: http://rielbox.com/da-mo-yao-2014

The theme song is also wonderful. I can't wait for this drama!

Someone once told me that because I liked romance, I wouldn't like this movie. They were dead wrong. Not a single complaint about this movie. I thought it was a masterpiece. I also still have tears on my face. I can't seem to stop. But wow, this was amazing. Highly recommended.

Okay, I'm thinking maybe I should stop posting in your comments section and give you a chance to read all my really long paragraphs. If you want I'll tell you about Ja Myung Go and Startling but I think I should stop clogging up your comments section before you get tired of me if you haven't already.
Anyway, I'm really sorry for all my ramblings; I'm just extremely excited to talk someone about these dramas. :D
[sorry again]

Comparing PLL to EK is not a good idea because as you said, it feels like a fairytale. EK tends to bring out the raw emotions and harsh realities for you. I really don’t want to give up on EK because it was so amazing for the first 40-something episodes. The 5 year time jump just made everything go crazy (including Ta Hwan!). I think I need to stop caring about the subplots and extra crazy going on too but it’s so hard especially after watching the episode 47 scenes with Ta Hwan and Seung Nyang on YouTube. They break my heart. I think by the time the drama ends, I’ll be able to reconcile myself with the craziness of the last few episodes because that’s usually how I judge a drama – by how well they tie up the loose ends and how they resolve their situation.

As for Prince of Lan Ling – trust me; I really get where you’re coming from. All the episodes in that drama that I liked were the ones where Yu Wen Yong showed up. The romance in it is cute at best sometimes and Lan Ling is, well quite frankly, boring. However, the reason I continued with that drama was to see Yu Wen Yong’s scenes and I whole-heartedly admit to skimming quite a bit after Lan Ling and Xue Wu got married. And when Zheng Er showed up, I seriously considered dropping it. However, I stuck with it, skimming quite a bit until I reached the episodes where Lan Ling stopped behaving like a butt & Xue Wu was back in the company of Yu Wen Yong. They had some hugely cute moments especially in episode 40.That being said, I don’t regret finishing this drama purely because of Yu Wen Yong and its ending.Looking back on it, despite its snoozy moments, PLL was good.
