This is hilarious - I am laughing all the way to ep30. (what follows reads as sarcasm:) This is the story of 3 friends: 1 acquires a boy toy, 1 plays sugar daddy and the last developes a ginormous man-crush on a guy who cooks, raises birds, does half-naked kung fu in the rain, has a sexy motor bike, and bandages feet (did I miss one?) I cannot believe grown men agreed to film this. XD There is no story arc. No continous story unfolds, there is no drama, no twist, no problem, just episode after episode of hilarious encounters (or if any progress can be seen, it's in the increasing degrees for casual skinship between MLs). *** end of sarcasm*** So random - and what is going on with that ending? lol. I am totally giving it 9* and will rewatch.
I liked both leads individually, but the combination was not a good match. I usually have no problem with age gaps, but these two together did not work for me. It's not like they don't have chemistry at all - it's just that Yu Shirota out-acts her by leaps and bounds.
Can't help but think that was a wet dream the screenwriter had -> turned into a drama. 4 guys running after her? Is the usual duo not enough anymore? And she treats all 4 of them terribly. I watched it for KYK but even he couldn't save this... his character was totally unbelievable. 4 years he can't open his lips wide enough to ask her out and then he can't shut up about it? Have some dignity man...
good luck with those exams then, you're gonna need it! of all the shows to start before exams you had to choose…
what would be the point to start a short and unaddiciting drama right before exams? I'd actually have to spend time revising and would have no excuse. HAHA... just kidding - I could kick myself for starting it. But it's soooo good.
There are quite a few dramas on MDL (even called 'Obsession') which are accurately placed in the thrillers or psychothrillers genre. It's a bit of a leap by the directors to turn that topic into a cute romance while trying to portray true obsession. That contrast is the true problem of this episode. But the fact remains: it is controversial.... Not my favourite so far ...
Just re-watching. Funny how I would never describe it as my favourite dramas (some of the topics are a bit dark for my usual taste), but it is certainly one of the ones I re-watch most often. It's my go to drama when I want to see something 'real'. I love how tentatively Ling's and Quilo's feelings towards each other grow and how they develop together. Their emotions have some much depth and they certainly act well, and act well together. So yeah, maybe, it's one of my favourite dramas afterall ;)
Not really convinced by the acting/directing this far. There are too many meaningful stares all around, with little other facial expression than slightly doe-eyed confusion. But I like the story, and since I can't really get into any of the other currently airing titles I'll try this one. I already know it will have too many episodes for it's own good (a general T-romcom problem) but that usually doesn't stop me to start a drama. nice OST :)
I dnf-ed Goblin, I dnf-ed The starry night - the starry sea
someone should really learn a lesson about fantasy, ocean themed series...
The start is similar to Goblin (which had it's bright moments, too), and the directors really went all the way out there with the visuals. Yellow street lights, blue night, f*** cherry blossoms. Damn if they did not find the manual on 'romance 101'.
I get the impression that it does not live up to the Manwha and ratings were basically at rock bottom, but i will give it chance.
So I loved this movie, but 2 points are a bit unsatisfying:
1. For a heist movie there was too much violence. For me it's all about the the plan and the con and the skill of the team.
2. Yennical did not break out Zapano. He gets arrested about 2/3 into the movie and for the rest of the movie I think: "any moment now, she will somehow..." :/
nice!
well it was certainly more chemistry than I had in highscool = which was nil ( i dropped - it was not compulsory).
Maybe it's me. Everybody else seems to love it. I only continue to watch for Joo Ah I & Go Kyung Pyo
