ngl i really like that its reversed, it kills stereotypes
I think it's the same people who don't understand introverted, shy or timid people might be that way in public but not in private. It makes all kinds of sense to me. Supposedly introverted men are supposed to make the best lovers. I'm not saying Charlie is introverted but he's not assertive or aggressive in public.

Ok it's been mentioned this is based on an online novel. I've searched high and low and I can't find an online copy. And if I do find it will it be in english.
I really liked 90% of the drama then towards the end the writers decided to flip the personality of the young husband from a kind person to an angry misogynist. It made very little sense and then at the end everything worked out.
I wish episode 37 would have been episode 15. It really shows the ability of the actors. That's the issue of longer Chinese dramas that get caught up in minutiae. If the drama had been cut to like 25 episodes there could have been less focus on all the business parts and more on the characters themselves.
The situation with the husband and JJH reminds me of the korean drama Witch's Romance where the FL's fiance goes off to Africa on a photoshoot right before their wedding without telling her. When he's injured and unconscious she has no idea what happened to him. Both of them at some point go on the information of a third party that neither wants anything to do with each other.
Years pass and the ex comes back and they realize the miscommunication but time can't be turned back. She's already in love with someone else and the FL and fiance can't recapture the same feeling. In the scene with the other debt collectors JJH says they have only one more year to wait on the sale of the house. That means the husband has been gone a year at this point.
It has to be JJH!! I think the audience would riot if the scum husband got another chance 🤺
Chinese drama writers are notorious for writing in a forgiveness curve for husbands but on the flip side many writers have written out the husband even though the wife forgives him for what he has done.
Not sure what is best but JJH has been more engaged with her and her son than her husband. I get the feeling he was the kind of man he was but he seemed more like the kind of guy who would leave the child raising to the wife. His son seems way to attached to JJH since he really care for him.
They couldn’t even leave out the propaganda from this series 🙄🙄🙄.
what was the propaganda? I skip through some of the parts that don't pertain to the wife and creditor friend. Most Chinese dramas have some plug in it for the government or the police. I live in the US where we spin propaganda on the regular.
I can't really tell who the end guy will be. Will the husband come back and explain everything and HH will give him another try or will she go with JJH? or will she stay alone? There's 8 episodes to tie everything up.
We still have 13 episodes left, why are they focusing on that little hot line operator girl's love life? I don't…
To be honest the only one I care about is He Huan. I don't really care for the other two female characters which is unusual for me to dislike the majority of side characters.

I like the main storyline but as in so many Cdramas it gets bogged down by the business scenes. Like most Cdramas it could have been cut in half leaving out the minutiae or focused more on the leads. I'm mostly skipping over the business scenes or side characters and watching the part with the FL and her son and roommate the one collecting the debt.
I'm on episode 22 and watching the FL and her male "friend"/debt collector I'm starting to wonder how much time she actually spent with her husband.
