This was a truly enjoyable and original family drama. Usually I keep well away from Korean family dramas (except for older ones such as Giant and East of Eden) as they tend to have too many exaggerated clichès which I never enjoy. However here the story line was not only about contrasts between rich/poor (there was very little of that thankfully) but it was mostly about personal growth of each of the characters.
Here family and friendship relations were easy going and pleasant to watch. Yes there was a part in the middle which fell back to bothersome clichès but luckily the story returned to being enjoyable pretty quickly.
I liked all the cast here and the 'gentlemen' in particular were very pleasant and kind and I will certainly miss all of them. I recommend this drama as a heart warming and pleasant watch.

This drama was overall a pleasant watch for me. From the start I felt it would be a light-hearted story with a simple tipe of plot and I got exactly what I expected. Yes the female lead could have been written better (so I blame the writers and not the actress here. Go Ah Ra is talented as we have seen in the Reply series) but she didn't spoil the fun of the drama for me.
I read a lot of complaints about Park Hyung Shik not being in the spotlight like Park Seo Joon but he was obviously the second lead in this story and he played his role pretty well as well as PSJ. Indeed all the cast was great and I also enjoyed the OST and some of the amazing costumes. On the whole this drama was enjoyable and it could have been slightly better with a little more effort by the writers.

It was the first time for me to watch a morning Jdrama (Asadora) and it was an amazing and unforgettable experience.…
Thanks, in the meanwhile I also finished Hanako to Anne which I enjoyed very much and I also started Asa ga kita but only got as far as the first episode for now.

Thanks for writing this article. I also think this drama is not as bad as many other viewers consider it to be.
I never expected a deep plot from this drama but an easygoing and enjoyable story which is what I got. I agree that the female lead is nothing to write home about (not the actress but the character as Go Ah Ra was pretty good in the Reply series) but overall all the other characters are fun to watch.
I understood that many were disappointed that Park Hyun Shik was the second lead here as they wanted him to get the girl instead of Park Seo Joon but for me the OTP is good together and and has enough chemistry. :)

Thanks for writing this article as PSJ is definitely one of my younger generations favourite actors. I was also…
I agree...I can see that there are so many pretty faces in Hwarang so it's understandable that there can be many favourites. However he is doing a great job and his character here has so much depth...I understand it is mainly because of the romance aspect of the story which I am not finding bothersome at all.

Thanks for writing this article as PSJ is definitely one of my younger generations favourite actors. I was also 'bewitched' by him in Witch's Romance and haven't missed any of his dramas since. I have to say that his role in that drama was my favourite until now, however I am really enjoying his character in Hwarang. I hope to see many more of his projects in the coming years (has he already been away for his military service?).

I enjoyed the first half of this drama much more than the second half. In any case on the whole it was pleasant and entertaining as I mostly considered it a beautiful and poetic fairy tale.
The best assets here were the two leads and in particular Jeon Ji Hyeon who really nailed her character and was extremely charismatic and fun but also Lee Min Ho was up to his usual high standard although I prefer him in roles such as in City Hunter and Faith.
It could have been much better if the writers had planned on a more intriguing and original second half of the story. It was a relaxing drama which I recommend all the same. :)
After having waited for so long for the comeback of my favourite actor I have to say that I am fully satisfied with his choice of drama. A lot has been written about it so I won't repeat the same praises. All I can say is that it was a perfect drama in every possible way (acting, filming, setting, writing, clothing, OST) and that it was evident that the writer put a lot of care in every single dialogue and shot. For me it deserves more than 10 (I would rate it a 100 if possible) as it doesn't happen easily or frequently to enjoy such a masterpiece loved by so many viewers. It will most certainly become a classic viewed over and over in future years.

This was a beautiful and poetic drama. I rarely find this quality in medical dramas but here the writer could convey what the profession of being a doctor really means. I enjoyed the growth of all the different characters (also of the many side characters) and how they all became a fine tuned team by the end. My admiration for Han Seok Kyu keeps on growing the more of his dramas I watch...he truly is an amazing actor. I highly recommend this drama also to those who are not particularly fond of the medical genre as it is a very realistic and meaningful story.

I have always admired this actor very much indeed. He was great in all the many roles I have seen him in and I hope he will be in many more dramas in the future. :)

Some of my favourites made it and others didn't...but the greatest disappointment is that Signal didn't win in any category. For me it was definitely one of the best dramas of the year.

I watched Jin 2 and it's just as good as the first one. :)
