I agree. I was very disappointed in the last few episodes. It seemed like the writers had no idea how to end the story properly, it's a pity.

The most interesting part - Yu Qi's self-sacrifice was not properly explained either, and it was not clarified what happened then... who killed Jiang Si earlier.

I could continue on and on... I am disappointed, it was so good until the last few episodes.

This is not a historical film, but a fairy tale in historical costumes. ;)

I am sure that it was only for the ceremony, and the writers didn't intend to ruin their couple in the last 5 minutes...

I agree! I liked this series very much up to ep 35, and from ep 36, it wasn't well written.

It was the same for "The Rise of Ning" - both series could have been excellent if the last episodes were well written.

Thanks a lot. I think that I'll skip the whole final arc (episodes 37-39), and just watch the last. I hate when a series is full of angst and sadness. :((((

One of the reason I am watching with interest this series, that I would like to know what happened exactly back then. I hope that they will clarify all this in the last episodes.

I only felt sad for the aunt. For the other villains, I didn't have any sympathy.
