OK series spoiled by the freaky story. What a weird family where uncle and niece, brother and sister chase each…
In this story, neither of the couples that you mentioned belonged to the same biological family. (Interesting fact: in ancient times in my country, complete strangers called each other "elder sister" "younger sister", "elder brother", "younger brother", "uncle" and "aunt" - and you added the first name of the person. That's how the other person had to be called depending on their gender and age. It didn't mean any biological relation, but it meant that people had to treat strangers as if they were their own family members, with respect and love).
They have a very good chemistry imo, but there is much less romance than expected. It's still a very enjoyable drama if you like light-hearted, cheerful, fairy tale like stories, with a happy ending. :)
It's interesting, because I didn't feel that he played the same character in "Are you the one" and this series.…
I understand now completely. :) I am waiting for his new historical dramas and I hope that his characters will be also very enjoyable to watch, but different from the previous ones.
This drama was good! As with many dramas, it holds your attention initially but starts feeling like it drags towards…
It's interesting, because I didn't feel that he played the same character in "Are you the one" and this series. I can watch the two series even in parallel without confusion, as the two characters that he played seemed to me like completely different persons. But some of his expressions are the same and obviously his face doesn't change either, so I can understand the feeling that you have too ;) (I didn't see Lost You Forever, maybe it helped me).
The character is a brute, a bully, a thief and a murderer... He had a too good ending. I watched the actor in…
"He adored the heroine and would have done literally anything for her." He murdered several of her maids, and he wanted to kill the person she loves the most. True love? :(((
I found the first 3/4 of the series to be much stronger than the later 10 or so eps even though the fl and ml…
"it kinda lost the spark it had at the beginning." Exactly, as if the scriptwriters were tired, the series lost its momentum. It was still enjoyable, but at the beginning it was 10/10.
dont know y people in the comments are saying saying that they treat each other like siblings until the later…
"all i see from ep 1 is the chemistry bw them... the way they look at each other?? siblings?? nah!" imo they had much more chemistry during the first episodes, than during the last ones, when they were a couple.
Actually I don't find it too slow. It felt natural for them to slowly develop from siblings into a couple after…
I felt the transition from her side too abrupt and not well shown. In ep32 he reveals his feelings to her and she seems to be very shocked. In the same episode she reflects upon that, and she says that she doesn't know exactly how she feels. Then in the next episode she admits that she has also feelings for him. So we had 20 episodes showing us LSY's feelings towards her, and two scenes about hers... I found that very unbalanced.
I really enjoyed this for the most part and even intended to rate it 10, but then the last few episodes left me…
"nothing really changed in their relationship."
That's why I have rated it only 8.5/10, because this part of the show wasn't well handled. One of the main themes and one of the most interesting part of this series was the evolution of their relationship. It began very well, and the evolution was wonderfully shown when they were siblings, but after that almost nothing, they didn't maintain the focus on it. Ok, they were cute together, but they were already very cute as siblings, so there wasn't any evolution, and it was really disappointing how they didn't deal with it for the last episodes.
I am rewatching "Are you the one" :D I didn't find any new dramas to watch yet (I can't watch Zhao Lushi and Esther Yu unfortunately).
Yes, it's a very sweet, cheerful drama. :)
I couldn't stand that character, he was painful to watch :(((
