Just like no two individuals with autism show the same symptoms and present traits unique to them (autism is a spectrum, after all), bipolar can show as a variety of signs and combination thereof. People who take their meds, get treatment, have strong support system, their symptoms will be a lot more manageable than someone who doesn't. It could also vary based on individual.

Plus, he appears to be emotionally attached to the daughter. Maybe he was crying because he just got back the paternal test results - so internal turmoil: he loves his daughter + feels betrayed by his wife + he now wants revenge.

If he no longer wanted to be part of the marriage and family, he should have voiced them, initiated divorce procedures, and THEN (after everything is finalized), start dating whomever he wants.

Especially when the father has questionable morals & step-mom is narcissistic, green jealous monster.

Father: Defends his own cheating as 'marriage was already over' and tries to rationalize his unethical behavior. Doesn't apologize even after being caught - he feels no remorse for his lying and deceit. He just planned on painting his wife as mentally unstable, so he can get full parental rights.

Possible step-mom, current mistress: She doesn't even love the man. She just wants him because he's FL's husband. Now... imagine her raising the FL's daughter. What a nightmare! She'd passive-aggressively take out her jeaousy (of FL) and anger on the daughter.. Especially if she gets her own biological child with FL's (ex-)husband.

All I can say is: these two deserve each other.

And I hope FL+her daughter gets away from them ASAP!

Yeah... I don't even think she genuinely loves Ah Rin's husband. She just wants him cause she wants to "take/steal" something from Ah Rin for once - after all, she feels Ah Rin stole what was hers all the time (i.e. her father's respect and attention). :I She's bonkers lol

They (generalizing here, I'm sure there are people who don't) put celebrities on a pedestal and expect them to be PERFECT. Any flaw, mistake, or accusation can ruin their career and lives. In this case, they've taken a life.

Desperate times, desperate measures

When a certain 'theme' gets popular and the formula is proven to be a hit, then it gets copy and pasted into 239587923875 different versions until a new concept takes its place.

Ex: Amnesia + chronic illness leading to death (2000s love stories)
Ex: Childhood besties / lovers turn super lovers after XX years apart, even, they only love each other (2000s love stories)
Ex: Time travel, isekai like themes (still trending now both in webtoon, webnovel, and now kdrama worlds)
Ex: Break up but they still love each other, and end up together in the end after getting over their misunderstandings or growing closer together again (trending nowadays)

Most writers are too scared to deviate too far, because it's a risk to them.

I don't know if I'll remember this drama years into the future - nothing spectacular.

I totally understand. It gave me fatigue as well! And I felt bad for what the ML had to go through because of her issues. We all got our own insecurities, worries, and faults, but he definitely was super patient with her
