:((( It is all over the place. FL & ML don't get enough screen time. It's almost like daily-drama (you know those 50+ episode kdramas with a bajillion side character stories). I think I fully watched episodes up to 4, then massively skipping forward or skimmed through 5~8. Storyline isn't interesting. Something happens and immediately they cut away to different characters, leaving me hanging or without feeling proper closure. Weird cinematography choices..
Kinda hard to believe that FL won't be found for 15 years. I mean, she couldn't have landed on an island too far…
And how her skin is PERFECT despite being under the sun for 15+ years with no sunscreen, no real shelter/roof to shield from UV rays. In reality, she'd have a lot of sun spots and beauty marks lol
My immersion breaks whenever Mone's friend (blonde) comes on screen. I saw that actress on YT skits (over the top, comedy, SNL videoes) so I can't take her seriously T-T
I know it's not right of me to feel this way but she just keeps reminding me of her exaggerated comedy scenes in those skits that she doesn't come across as her character (bully/iljin) in this drama
Matthew: I guarantee your safety if you agree to my terms and do as I say.
Then in the same episode.. Min Do Hyuk gets hurt by K.
Matthew can't guarantee anyone's safety. He's like Logan from Penthouse. Sure, he has money, but he is sure to get outplayed by the bad guys time and time again :((
Don't force yourself just don't watch it no one really asked you to watch it
MDL comment section is for all opinions - both negative and positive. The ‘unnecessary’ comments are the ones like yours trying to police the comment section.
The mom treats her son so horribly, even the dad is kinda mean to him it's really hard to watch everyone treat…
I’m worried he’ll take that drug. They keep referring to the drug that ‘grants the person’s deepest desire, in exchange for death’ ..
But yeah, the fat jokes need to go. I’m shocked there isn’t more backlash for them. Even the dad was looking at his own son pitifully, remarking how the mother usually fixes all her problems with money (if not her strength), and it “looks like [his] weight is something that money doesn’t fix.” It’s clear their son is a foodie who struggles to manage portions. The turbulent family life and emotional abuse must add to his inner turmoil, but the kdrama writes it off as “comic relief” -_-
Suzy playing this role is the best choice, the most suited , i remember how her career itself by watch this
Yeah, especially with the outcast allegations in MissA against Suzy :(( it’s great to see her light wasn’t dimmed one bit and she’s shining brightly as ever
Is her eye okay?! I noticed in some movie scenes, she has a dot or something on the white of her left eye (if we look at her on the screen, it’s our right, her left). https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VjGMvpcWudY?feature=share Is it a beauty mark on her eye white?
Edit: Yes it is! Found answer online.. a lot of celebs in Korea develop it on their eyes. I never noticed until this drama. It can form from sunlight exposure (melanin buildup), from rubbing eyes too much, or from frequent contact lense-wear that causes scars/tears on the eyeball.
Interviewer: Are there any love scenes? Both stars: Not at all. / No LJY: Rather than our lines being a dialogue/conversation with one another.. SHS: - We are ultimate enemies. I too don’t like this aspect of public display… it’s not like some x men series.
Right? Make it make sense! At least the public were well aware of the X-Men in that world. But in this one, they're portraying it like our own world where super strength (like those women) do not exist. We all know what the reactions would be: capture, isolate, experiment, study.
I get that the mom is trying to be understanding but how can you let some one who impersonated your daughter get…
The fake has entitlement issues. 'How-dare-you-show-up-and-take-my-spot-even-though-it-wasn't-mine-to-begin-with' lol
I was so confused that the grandma+mom completely forgot(?) about the fake daughter. The mother didn't even want to listen to the recording to hear the fake daughter's reasoning, bad thoughts, and possible further crime. They just dropped it, swept under the rug like nothing happened. The mother's secretary had more sense!!
The first 4 eps were definitely more interesting than the recent 2, I will keep watching though. I’m not too…
Glad to not be alone..
Congrats to do this show for reaching Top 10 on Netflix, but I barely made it through the latest episode. Perhaps this story isn't for me :(( It was charming in the beginning, kind of Marvel vibes, intriguing, but it's failing to capture my prolonged interest.
A tangent, but I hate how the preview ends up being the "last scene" of the episode too. So we essentially learn nothing new loll The drug storyline with the bad guy boss isn't interesting to me
They really overdo her "innocence" or "country-bumpkin-clueless/naive" characterization. Just because someone lived in a different country that is more countryside than city, it doesn't make them stupid or lack common sense. It keeps rubbing me the wrong way how she is flaunting her strength left and right, even during the undercover operation.
It isn't my cup of tea. Chao everyone o/
It was executed well (just see the overwhelming praise on MDL), but I think I'm experiencing flashback/childhood-bg fatigue or something. 🥲
