There is nothing filthy or disgusting about this drama. Some may be put off that the ML is older and not a young hottie. But perhaps this is more in line with true CEOs in society. How often do we really see a young hot 20 year old CEO (typically casted in dramas) of a multi-national corporation or conglomerate? There aren't many Zuckerbergs out there. If folks watch the drama for what it is - it really isn't horrible.
The side characters are a bit annoying and their story has gotten a little old by the end but it wasn't bad enough to drop. This is a more mature drama as reflected by the casting and the content of the drama.

Right on! We can all decide for ourselves is the people casted fit the storyline. Some people might not be able to overcome the appearance of the ML and the age gap with the FL and will abandon ship earlier on. Others will hang on just to see how the drama will play out, though the ML is not my ideal top choice it doesn't stop me from enjoying the show for what it is.
As most of us drama watchers want some eye candy here and there, why shouldn't an older established guy? And there are tons of real life gold diggers out there, it's not unfathomable an older wealthy person is sick of being chosen simply because they are rich and desires a genuine relationship - hence the story line that I'm sticking around for.

You made such a good point. It does seem like everyone is oblivious to the age difference. The ML seems to overlook the age except for a few small side comments, she doesn’t seem to notice either. However, the viewers like us who know the summary of the drama go in mentally prepared the age will be in there and part of the storyline. It’s like a pink elephant that everyone just walks around or doesn’t know is there lol.
So perhaps I have gotten used to the ML as the emperor and having a harem of younger concubines and therefore the age difference didn't bother me as much lol. I would have liked his buddy in crime Mo Hang as the ML instead of a main side character. He is also older and perhaps wouldn't be much so shocking on the eyes...but overall the drama is pretty good. Viewers who get stuck on age and can't get past it, perhaps try thinking of it as fate and really what's wrong with an older adult finding a younger love - if he dotes on her, loves her and it is reciprocated - what gives?
The main FL's character is painful to watch. It exceeds naive but cute and room for growth, it is plain stupid. She acts as though she was born lacking a bit upstairs. She's pretty but I don't think I can hang on till the end.

Glad it's not just me! I'm shipping XN and FM for sure but I feel like he needs some extra motivation. The parts where he's reminiscing about his past with HHui is a little hard towatch lol. I'm wondering if the other male you are talking about is the male idol she totally fan girls about and carries around his poster everywhere. The guys she was super geeked and hoping to have the kissing scene with. Perhaps we can hope he enters the scene and spices stuff up lol.
I'm rather hoping for a some competition for Xiao Nuan's affection besides FeiMo. Her slime ball ex-bf doesn't do it for me. Just enough of a love triangle so I'm not torn between the ML and second ML...but Han Hui and her story with FeiMO is getting on my nerves lol.
